Todd and Rick were professional, responsive, and always showed up when they said they would. They handled everything with my insurance company, which made the process easy and stress-free. They were able to get my insurance to approve a full replacement of both my roof and siding. The work and communication were excellent. I highly recommend 3rd Generation Home Improvements.

Contracted work started on July 18, 2025 to replace roofing on flat roof on back porch. $1700 down…read morepayment was made per contract. 3rd Generation committed per warranty to perform quality workmanship. 3rd Generation team caused damaged to existing post/ railings that was part of the scope of their work, and debris remains in the underlayment of the material that was applied to the roofing, resulting in Failed building inspection. There was a series of inspections that should have been done before, during and after the work was performed. The post inspection was done only after I addressed the damage and contacted the building department for the city. University Hts. had to get involved to address the permit that was submitted and signed with the city, which states clearly inspection should be done and is the responsibility of the contractor. August 28, 2025, 3rd Generation cut out a section to remove the debris in the underlayment and repatched but there is still debris remaining which is included in the failed inspection report. Also, the post/railings remain loose, unstable and wobbly. Contractor is not taking responsibility even though the railings removed during the course of the work, is where the post are unstable. The other railings that were not removed are stable and do not have an issue. Contractor offered to fix the post that they damaged but wanted to charge for the repair of the damages they caused. That is unacceptable and a breach of 3rd Generations contract under the warranty of promised workmanship. Also 3rd Generation is not willing to address the recommendations from the failed inspection, which is to remove the roofing that was applied, clean the debris, fix the post/railings stability and relay the roofing, and to do all inspections as stated in the permit.
