First off... The venue itself is very nice. We feel it was very high priced and that their "$1000…read moreoff" promotion was ridiculous, taking the venue itself from $6495 down to $5495... Especially when they charge so much for everything else. There is mandatory coordinator that they charge you $850 for, they also charge $400 for the bridal room and the $400 for the groom room for the day of, they misled us into thinking that we would be able to provide our own alcohol, which we find out after signing the contract that they "don't allow that anymore" and that the girl who showed us the venue "was mistaken". We had 110 people there, and the bill just for Chapman Hill was $10,215...That did not include ANY of the vendors. Again, its very pretty place to get married...We loved it! BUT...here are the reasons we give them 3 stars and not 5... 1.) You pay $400 for each the bride and groom cabins for the day ($800), and they literally took our stuff out of the rooms starting at 6pm, when we had a 5pm ceremony. When we expressed our concerns, Susan sharply says, "Its in the contract. Its in the contract."...not even allowing me get anything out of my mouth. She then continues, "We need to get everything out so that our cleaning people can come. Also, we don't want anything left behind, so thats why we do it this way." I can tell you...things were left behind, things were lost, and it cost us money. 2.) The groom's cabin...nobody bothered to turn on the heat before we arrived. We started arriving at 10am the morning of the ceremony to a cabin that was 45 degrees...not kidding. By the time 6pm rolled around, temperature inside was at 62 degrees. Also, though the bridal cabin was probably well worth the $400, that grooms cabin was NOT! Hardly any space to get ready, they have 4 TVs on the wall, which seems cool, until you go to change the channel and they all use the same Roku remote...hahaha. We finally just gave up on the cabin and walked outside. 3.) LISTEN...YOU HAD BETTER INSPECT AND TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING YOU USE THAT IS THEIRS. 3 weeks after our wedding, I get an email from Don, the owner, stating that someone from our party damaged their "plastic wicker" furniture. He sent me pictures and the damage that was done, there is no way that anyone from our party caused that. There were full strands of the plastic missing, pieces obviously cut very sharply off to remove hanging strands...this damage was done throughout the life of that furniture. Bottom line, when raised that concern, they charged me for it anyway, taking it out of my deposit. 3 weeks later, and how many events after ours, and they bill us. They probably charged everyone else too...got themselves new "wicker" furniture from Lowes. 4.) The $850 for the coordinator, meh. The coordinator was nice and all, you're sold a bill of goods that she will always keep a drink in your hand, we won't have to worry about anything, "I'll be here making sure everything goes smoothly,"...Not really. We had to get our own drinks, we find out 3 weeks later furniture "was damaged by our group", shoot...As the groom, I only interacted with her 4 times that whole day. We had to ask if we could go down to the fridge and grab a few beers. LOL. Oh Well. Just know, that although the owners are super sweet and nice up to the day of the ceremony, giving you premarital booklets, super responsive, explaining "everything" to you, when push comes to shove, they are running a business, and you are a paycheck.

It starts with the vendor showcase sessions she has to ensure you have great options for photography, bar, catering, etc. to the items she has available for use, at no extra charge, and goes all the way through day of where a full team of people make sure everything is covered. While this may have been my first (and only!!) wedding planned I do have numerous friends who have used the same wedding planner and she (our planner) kept raving about how well of a partnership it was in working with Terry's team. Additionally, since they only book one wedding per weekend you get the entire place available for both the rehearsal dinner as well as the wedding. You don't need to "figure out" when and where to have the rehearsal and dinner. As a plus we had the rehearsal dinner in the outside patio area which made that experience feel different than the wedding even though they were at the same location. Very nice!! As for the venue, you couldn't ask for a better layout. The setting for the marriage ceremony is absolutely beautiful but that alone is selling it short. At most of the other wedding venues I have been to the lounge area (outside of the reception space) seemed like an afterthought and once the reception started all activities were in one area. This makes it difficult to separate those who want to dance and have a good time vs those who would love to catch up with old friends or relatives. At White Fox Cottage there is ample room and seating outside of the reception hall to allow for this while still holding the feeling that everyone was at the same event. I absolutely loved having the ability to float between these two areas. As you look around for wedding venues for yourself I would highly recommend you start here. Beautiful and gorgeous outdoor venue and one of the prettiest places for an event I have ever been to despite my bias as dad. Water features (manmade creek and waterfalls), outdoor activities for the guests like a small fire area and space for cornhole boards, lots of seating, large covered area with fans in case of rain. Large wooded property that is very well maintained. Really nice groom and bridal preparation areas with lots of mirrors, space to hang things, fans and a/c. Grooms area had a pool table, dart board, big screen tv, couches and place to get ready and eat also with a fridge. Golf cart also was a big help for guests we had with mobility issues. Bridal prep area had multiple chairs for the ladies to get makeup and hair done with bright lighting and mirrors. Large dance floor, lots of provided tableware and dinnerware and linens. Very nice tables and chairs. Good vendors with experience they work with available also for food and beverages. Shuttle brought guests from parking to the venue building before and after the ceremony. Never felt rushed or wanting for anything. I attended a wedding at Cloverleaf Farm and had a wonderful time. Cloverleaf Farm is located about…read more20-30 minutes east of Athens and about 1.5-2 hours away from Atlanta. It's out in the middle of nowhere. However, this is as authentic and charming a Southern farm event venue can get. I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome the wedding and reception were. Cloverleaf Farm is owned by Magic Moments, a company which also owns four special event venues in the Atlanta area. Coincidentally last year, I attended a wedding at another Magic Moments property: Primrose Cottage in Roswell (http://www.yelp.com/biz/primrose-cottage-roswell#hrid:f3MKTsGVCkK3wgr2hzj93A). That wedding was great, so it was no surprise the Cloverleaf wedding followed suit. Event services (e.g. catering) at Magic Moments properties are provided by A Divine Event, a sister company. The wedding I attended was an outdoor fall wedding. The weather was a little warm, but otherwise perfect. The wedding was relatively small and intimate with I believe just over 100 guests. However, I think this venue can easily handle much more. I liked how almost every part of the property was showcased and utilized. Functional. For example: 1. The wedding was held in a small courtyard outdoors. 2. Cocktails were served in the front of the house, outdoors/indoors. 3. The dinner reception was held in the back of the house, outdoors. 4. The cake-cutting was held in a separate room inside the house. 5. The wedding party's private quarters were upstairs. The food was the best part about this wedding and A Divine Event delivered. There was so much fantastic food, leaving all of our bellies completely stuffed. All of the food tasted fresh and was absolutely delectable. I believe all of the food was prepared and cooked on-site. Menu highlights included: - Classic Southern mac and cheese - Panko-crusted fried green tomatoes with goat cheese, roasted red pepper aioli - Cedar-planked salmon with blueberry compote - Cornbread muffins w/ whipped honey butter - A biscuit bar (!) with buttermilk and sweet potato biscuits, bacon, ham, jams, sausage, gravy, and more - Coffee-braised short ribs with green tomato avocado relish The Cloverleaf house is historic, beautiful, and itself a work of art. The house was built in the 1850s and got its name from the narrow, cloverleaf-shaped columns at the front and back porch areas. The portico in the back was where the DJ set up shop and all the dancing went down. There were actually two levels for dancing, on the portico (ground level) and above it on a deck. Now that was cool. In addition, a photo booth was set up on the wrap-around porch outside (by a third party). The food buffet was set up indoors and there were bars both inside and out. There were actually a lot of terrific, small touches that added a lot to the inviting and jovial atmosphere of the reception. Out in the back yard, there were stacks of hay with makeshift lanterns hanging from the trees for people to lounge and hang out at. The lanterns imitated fireflies inside jars and only looked more magical as the sun set. There was a stack of hay with the bride and groom's last initial decorated on. Lawn games like cornhole were available for play. There were several Magic Moments/A Divine Event event staff on-hand to make sure everything ran smoothly. That was nice because I have been to some weddings where there are not enough event staff and things can get a little unorganized. All of the staff that I interacted with were friendly and polite. The venue was easy to get to and there was plenty of field parking. As a wedding guest, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Cloverleaf Farm. I think everyone had a truly fantastic and memorable time.
