I was just four months old in the US and had never driven before so being an amateur, who knew nothing about driving and who was so new to the country, getting a drivers licence and imagining myself on the road driving even at 20 miles/hour looked like a gigantic task. Then someone referred me to the Wilmington driving school, saying that these guys are really good at what they do. Good that I listened to my friend and enrolled for these 2 hrs classes. It just took me about 6 classes to get my licence, yes you are reading this right just 6 classes and one attempt at the driving test got me the licence. The instructors were too good right from day one, highly skillful, very patient and extremely helpful. They were very accommodating while scheduling the classes as I was working 9-6, they had classes starting from 7am up until 4pm. So the 7-9 slot worked for me for weekdays and Saturday I would do 12. Also my actual test date was 3 months away, so the best part was they helped me reschedule my test to a much earlier date as soon as they realized that I was ready. It was amazing experience for me getting to drive for the first time and these guys made my job a cakewalk. I am really thankful to them specially to the Manager, Harrison for being so patient with me and I would definitely advice them to anyone who wants to learn to drive effectively and efficiently. read more

This driving school was recommended by friends, thereby thought of starting off with a lesson and ended up taking many & finally got my license through them. It was a great experience - lessons are tailor made to individual experience and learning aptitude. You will be on the same page as the school in terms of your learning & progress, they won't try to pinch money out of your pockets! Abbas (my trainer) is a great instructor (& nice person), he will train you for both the test and actual driving on the roads (not just to make you pass somehow!). You will be treated to few street smart tips that will come handy when you hit the road on your own. I would highly recommend Wilmington driving school & Abbas if you are looking for a great learning experience and sail through the test at your first attempt... With Wilmington Driving School I Had a AWESOME experience with both of my driver's Maxwell and Harrison. They always gave me confidence when i got into their cars I was always nerves and scared but they taught me to be me and always be relaxed. I had a time when they forgot me and they had a misunderstanding between driver's LOL i call them and harrison was very upset at the person and apologize to me we laughed about it and i said it was OK mistakes happen and i would never put that against them. People comment in here about them being late is very ignorant because you have to understand they are teaching other people and their is traffic so hey can be sum time off the time they gave you.. Thank god i never had that problem and if I did i would understand them that just they THANK YOU AGAIN IF IT WAS NOT FOR YOU I WOULD HAVE NOT GOTTING MY LICENSE TODAY AND THE CONFIDENCE TO DRIVE.... I don't usually write reviews but I had such a wonderful experience using this driving school that I just had to. Harrison was my instructor and he prepared me not only to pass my road test on the first try, but also to feel comfortable behind the wheel-- which I didn't think would ever be possible! As someone who never drove when I was younger, I was very nervous about finally trying to get my license when I first contacted Wilmington Driving School. But they helped me to conquer my fears by giving me plenty of pointers, being extremely patient, catering the instruction to my learning style, and allowing me to practice at my own pace. I think they did a great job, honestly. They help make sure you get your appointment. They come in on time, are quite nice and respectful, plus I learned a great deal from them. Something that my High School failed at doing. I don't think theres been one day where I felt I wasn't improving. They are also very well organized too. If theres one thing I have a little bit of a problem with is that it can be a bit pricey, but I feel the money it worth it if you want to learn how to drive. I don't usually rate things on a perfect score, but for this school I'm giving it all five stars. read more

This is the best driving school I've come across so far. The instructors were extremely well at teaching with patience and made it comfortable to drive. The car from the driving school was really easy to drive. I have a driver's license from my country, but I was still nervous driving in the U.S. During these days, they helped me a lot to understand how driving defensively and abiding the laws is so importing for all drivers and how it can help us go throughout our lives and avoid even the smallest of accidents. Good driving school. The tutor put me on the road on the first day. It seemed dangerous, but it did make me brave. The skills for road test were very helpful. I passed the test one time.
