Dr. Sanji's has taken excellent care of me as my primary care physician. I highly recommend him

First (and only) appt with 'Dr. Nick"... very rushed, lasted around 5 minutes, after waiting 45 minutes to get in... he said he would order several blood tests, but he was not sure which ones... said his MA would get back to me quickly... After not hearing anything back for a week... I called and left several messages... also sent a message after TWO weeks via the patient portal... I received no contact back at all... ever. I finally gave up and moved on to a PCP that was not totally disorganized and uncaring... the worst practice I have ever had the misfortune to come into contact with! read more

Do not go here. I needed a new primary care provider coming from out of state. Initial visit went great Dr and staff seemed attentive, but there has been 0 effort on follow up from this office. From not calling the pharmacy to send my prescriptions to not following up on my labs to not providing a recommendation to a specialty doctor to not even returning my calls. They have a patient portal like most providers today but it won't release your medical info unless you call their office, to which they will not pick up. Thankfully I have no risk conditions but I wouldn't know if I did since I don't have my labs! read more

I have seen Dr Nick fir several years now. His assistant is the most incompetent person that I have dealt with in the medical profession. It takes days to receive returned calls if they ever get returned. Referrals are not followed up on if ever even made. This practice does not value their clients. I have waited an hour for scheduled appointment. I do think that Dr. Nick is a good doctor, unfortunately the level of care from his employee is so dismal that he's not worth the trouble of putting up with her. He is aware of these issues and doesn't seem to be concerned about the experience that his clients experience. Maybe he's just too busy with too many alternate obligations going on to remain in private practice. I would recommend continuing your search for a Dr. If you are considering Dr. Nick. read more

This is one of the last physician owned primary care practices. As such, they work for you and not the hospital CEO and the hospital c'suite's larger interest. Additionally, the doctors in the practice also take care of their own patient's while at the hospital providing seamless care between inpatient and outpatient settings. Most pcp's only see outpatients. I am a physician. Dr. Sanjeev is a long time friend as well as my primary care physician. He is bright, knowledgable, caring, and a total workaholic who takes great care of patients despite the dysfunctional healthcare system. Do not even look here. This office is very aggravating and completely disappointing. It's starts upfront, the front office staff is horrible. Their people skills are horrendous for a professional medical office. If you try to make an appointment, they are very condescending and act like you giving them more work is upsetting to them. If you get medical assistant Margarita, good luck. She finds a way to make you feel unimportant and like a piece of garbage. The doctors are always in a major hurry. They walk you to the door before your finish asking questions and then they just disappear leaving you at the front desk. Please keep in mind that the other 2 reviews are a few years old. I don't really know how to rate this practice. Dr. Maria Pina is one of the finest doctors I have EVER had. Her staff is horrible, rude, condescending, tell me I call too much if I have a question on the 'non updated' patient fusion portal, my non updated lab reports, I called to get my blood pressure meds filled and was told "I call too much". They are young and really immature. Is that REALLY how a staff (when the doctor is out of the office) talks to her patients??? I am almost 60 years old and I have been sick with Breast Implant Illness (yes, it is now coded as a disease). I am doing well and better since they were taken out. This staff needs an overhaul and a course in Kindness. The Doctors are fantastic, the staff appears to have no heart and nor compassion, they don't realize that I am paying their salaries! I hired Dr. Pina, not the other way around and the staff needs to know this, SHE does! She is fantastic but the staff in her office have been horrible to me with the exception of Y,, who finally after filling the shoes of a kind nurse L., has accepted me. If the doctor is not in and 'I call too much for their liking' (called June 17th then July 5th) and I am labeled a 'problem' for them ALWAYS ON HER DAY OFF, then what do I do???. Once I was put on hold for over 27 minutes. They were 'going to get right back to me' but never did but my light was still blinking. Called them back, they answered and said 'Well, you should have hung up'. I answered, 'Well, you said you would get back to me!!!' I want to NOT call, but the Patient Fusion is incredibly NON PATIENT friendly, (my labs were not updated and I needed them, so they mailed them, I cringe that I have to call and ask about my Patient Fusion DOCTOR friendly but not PATIENT friendly for informative situation that I need so I don't 'bother' the staff). I need BP meds and was told two different stories of Dr. Pina's schedule. All patients no matter WHAT, as I would teach at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, need respect and dignity and I have gotten very little from the staff. Again, Dr. Pina is fantastic, caring and we share many friends and colleagues! Also, she has YET to be listed on the voicemail as her practice so those I have told to see her get confused. Is it that hard to change a voicemail??? I have sent 3 patients to her, including my husband who upon meeting her, decided a female doctor is OK especially if it is HER! I'm somewhat new to the area and needed a primary care physician. Dr. Bastiampillai (everyone calls him Dr. Nick) came highly recommended by by nurses I work with in ICU. I was hesitant at first as it's always difficult to leave a doctor you're comfortable with and find someone new. Well I have to admit, he far exceeded my expectations. He is extremely thorough and follows up where needed until an issue is resolved. He also has a wonderful bedside manner, actually spending a significant amount of time with a patient to get to know them, their history and expectations, going over lab and test results and makes sure all your questions are answered. I will be recommending him to any of my friends or family that are looking for a new doctor. read more

Absolutely best doctors office I have been to. ( and I have been to a lot!! ) They do a great job of making quick appointments, returning phone calls and filling scripts quickly. They are an integrative practice meaning you can see a Primary Doctor, therapist, psychiatrist, and even nutritionist in one building. The therapist I saw Toni Schneider was amazing. The psychiatrist Catherine Etori was wonderful!! And the PCPs are good, although they seem to have a high turnover rate so I had 3 different doctors in the year I went there. I never had a single problem at this office and that means so much to me. Truly made my life better and easier in a lot of ways. Even the receptionists are super nice. Highly recommend! read more
