The trim work hadn't been touched in at least a decade, and more than one room was going from a very dark color to white. Not a task for the faint of heart. I knew I found my guys when they also suggested painting the kitchen cabinets. I hadn't even considered that option (they even helped pick out the paint color). The furniture restoration was a big undertaking, and we really wanted to work with the right restoration business since the furniture has sentimental meaning to me. Mr. & Mr. took a thorough look at the pieces before giving us an estimate and proposed timeline to complete the project. They were great communicators and took care to understood our needs - we wanted the furniture to look nice again without losing the character and charm it has gained over the last 60 years. Over the course of the project, they continued to be communicative, sharing frequent updates with us along the way. In the end, the furniture was completed on time, within the bounds of their original estimate, and looks absolutely amazing. We are so happy with the quality of their work and we felt like they were just as enthusiastic about our beloved furniture pieces as we are! Since they did such a good job with our furniture, we were happy to hire them again when we needed our apartment painted in preparation for new tenants. Our building is old and has plaster walls with a lot of cracks, so we didn't feel like we could DIY :) Again, they did a great job, recommending paint colors that would lighten up our space and coming by with swatches for us to test out. Once we chose the color we liked best, they did an awesome job making our walls look great. Again, they were communicative, on-time, and on-budget, and they even touched up a few areas of trim and our building's common hallway that weren't a part of our original request. We hired Brendon to paint our house this summer. The house needed walls, trim, & cabinets to all be…read morerefinished. When Brendon came, he was very personable and kind during the quoting process. We were expecting to get a company that managed the project thoroughly so we did not have to look over their shoulder constantly. That's what we thought Brendon was going to do. We couldn't have been more wrong. Upon starting the project, the crew he sent, Two Brothers Painting, was extremely unprofesional. To start, they did not fully cover the hardwood floors in the house(See pictures). Once we pointed this out, Brendon told us it was taken care of and the hardwoods were cleaned and covered. We went back to the house and were still able to find the paint on the floors with plastic just laid on top of it. They hadn't been cleaned, only covered. We also noticed issues with the wall paint, manly runs, painted over screws, painted over tape adhesive & light areas in the paint(see pictures). This was the first time we asked Brendon to come out to the house to go over the project with us. He declined. The runs and screws were fixed, he told us we would need a 3rd wall coat to fix the light areas and quoted us $4000. We declined. On to the trim, we had purchased 10 gallons of trim paint from Benjamin Moore. The first 5 gallons were put on to the trim over the course of 1.5 days. Once they start on to the second 5 gallon bucket, they realized the trim paint in the first bucket was the wrong color. The paint crew told me they would have to redo all of the trim work and needed additional paint to get it done. I went to Benjamin Moore and told them we had the wrong color, they proceed to test both 5 gallon buckets of trim paint and are able to ensure a color match. They're conclusion was that the paint was not mixed before the painters started painting the trim(see pictures). At no point through this has Brendon reached out to me to discuss additional payment for the trim. In fact, the only time he reached out regarding additional payment was for the 3rd coat of wall paint, which we declined. At this point, our frustration is mainly with Brendon, because we feel the project is not being properly managed by him or his team. We have asked him to the property 3 times so far and he has declined or ignored the requests. On to the Cabinets, as you can probably guess by now, they are a mess. They end up having to repaint the cabinets 3 times. The first attempt, they sprayed them then laid them down before they were cured and left marks in all of the doors. They said they would fix it. The second time, they left the cabinet doors on the frames, tried to sand and prime them, then respray them. This only process left sand marks in all of the cabinet doors. The third time, they almost got it right, but one door is still has a large mark on it. They have to respray that one, so they take it off and leave the house with it, when it comes back, it still isn't right. This was a brand new cabinet door and the seam of the door is completely messed up. At this point I reached out to Brendon to let him know the door still isn't right(see pictures). I have tried to send pictures and get intouch with him about it. His response is to tell me the job is complete and that "any further contact from you will be considered harassment"(see pictures) When it came time to get the bill, Brendon had upped our price by $5000 and at no point did he communicate that additional charge or approve that additional charge through us. It was a massive headache dealing with him and his crew. I would stay far away from Brendon and The House Painters - Nashville.

Not only did they break every seal on all 22 windows but the front door was painted without being prepped. I paid the 250 for the work and was promised it would be redone but Brandon NEVER CAME TO THE PROPERTY TO ADDRESS THE DOOR NOR DID HE REFUND THE 250. This is a guy who just collects the money.

I was shocked to be dissatisfied. High stakes, he was made aware of: we're about to put the house on the market, I am super physically disabled, and we were going to be living in our basement with toddlers while they did this. It is not a cakewalk to have them here--but, I told my wife, "this is the guy --he's an artist. That damage? You'll never know it was there-he's a magician!" Not on this job. The magic was his disappearing at the end, knowing he'd a) not done something explicitly requested, b) absolutely tanked a corner of a room, not even trying, c) not checked his or his partner's work and d) not done a walkthrough with the customer after a large detailed job. This was a two day job stretched needlessly into three. Business owner arrived after 10:15 every day and left by 4:30, leaving at 3:15 the last day. Lunch averaged 90 minutes. I paid $3305 in total. [first four photos] a room, $350 for these walls: Repaired identical drywall tape errors in another room, just missed this floor-to-ceiling eyesore on the day he was doing prep, and instead of fixing it and staying the extra time, just painted over it. Photo of particles from a roller in the same room. [second four photos] photos of specific spots sent to painter for repair/caulk/paint, they were simply not done (part of a $600 package to repair/caulk/paint around ten separated trim spots). the baseboards in this room (for which we paid for trim to be done) were fully untouched. [next two photos] a ceiling requested to paint, he just decided didn't need it and didn't mention it until asked about it after he'd left (he did not charge for it). [next two photos] trim lines run on to walls above, the wall color is visible through the white, the wavy line apparent from across the room. $150 per room for the trim. [next four photos] drips, drips, blue paint thumb print on framed artwork, no mention. Spent hours scraping up drips on hardwood in every room they painted. [next five photos] sloppy work and a missed area on a porch ($450). Staples on that post at little kid height? Just paint over those, they'll never notice. Chastised me for complaining and saying I couldn't work with him again (I initially didn't ask for any money back, I simply reached out to tell him he'd blown it), instead of just asking him to come back and fix the work. a) It's so funny, the instinct to instruct others on how to complain, and it's even funnier when it's not accompanied by taking genuine responsibility, looking at a photo sent and saying 'Jeez, that is bad, I'm better than this -I'm sorry, man' b) He'd been told several times the house was going on the market after his work, making the coming-back-to-fix-it not a thing, and he was totally inconsiderate of what it means for a family living in a home to hide out with small children while contractors work. Bottom line: If you have an empty house that needs painting, and you don't mind checking the work and having him come back, he is gifted when he wants to be. If you're living in the home, find someone else. Because we keep finding mistakes and have to stare every day at the things that were the WHOLE REASON WE PAID A GUY 3K AND LIVED IN OUR BASEMENT WITH TODDLERS, I have now asked for a 33% refund. I will update here if one is given.

Worst painting experience in 20 years of home ownership. Bud bragged how they take off the garage…read moredoor hardware and repaint for free. Well they hung up the handles upside down. They also lost one of the protective caps on the screws to the hardware. We would have been better off not having them do anything to it. The trim work around the garage and the front door was the sloppiest I have seen. I used the carpenter Bud recommended to fix any rotting wood before they painted. Their carpenter missed one window with some rot, and when the painters pressure washed that area, rather than stopping because some of the wood was clearly rotting, they pressure washed away all the soft wood which created a hole under the window. The window needs to be replaced which I would have done once I was made aware of the rotted wood, but now there is a hole that can let water in, while I wait for my new window. They should have stopped pressure washing once they saw the wood was rotting and had to be replaced, instead of creating a blatant hole into the interior. Bud criticized the work the last guy did on sealing our driveway (which I thought was great), but when the Hisway painter filled the cracks in our driveway - they obviously didn't check the weather because it poured rain starting the very same afternoon (while they were filling cracks) and everything they did washed away. I told them I would have someone else do the job and Bud still charged me for "cleaning" the driveway. I was home and never saw them pressure wash the driveway and if they did, it was all for nothing because they didn't bother to check the weather forecast and it all will need to be redone. I had no idea why they even chose last week to work - the weather was cold and rainy pretty much every day. Every other painter I know follows the weather closely and never would have painted before an onslaught of storms. I would NEVER have them come back or recommend them.

Before they started, they put down protective floor coverings form the door of the house all the way to the work area above the garage. Always on-time, courteous, professional and respectful. They tied in the new wall to where it joined an existing wall in two places. You can't even tell where that joint is. They also did a great job of cleaning up when finished. Excellent! Now I just have to paint and install trim. I am very pleased with the work and also the reasonable price.
