Vicky Kirby is not recommended as an accountant that communicates unless it benefits her personally. I went to her explaining I was not having a great experience with a male accountant I had, and he also worked on my exes taxes, so I felt best to part ways. I told her what he was charging me and she understood it was a high rate. And then said she would help me. The communication with her has been terrible. Very friendly in person, but once you leave the office, it's a different story. I have presented the majority of my taxes. She adds it up and sends it off. It's also in a Google spreadsheet so it's not difficult. I had to ask for my taxes from her, and then contact IRS to review what I owed. It's an option to pay quarterly, which she does not communicate, nor explain. I have at least six emails to her, asking her about billing and payments-she ignores them every time until today, which she was rude, and still did not answer my questions. read more

In that amount of time we have gone through raising four children, owning our own company, selling that company, divorce, bankruptcy, and putting the kids through college. We've been getting our taxes done by Vicki Kirby for the past 18 years. Before using Vicki's service, filing taxes used to be so time consuming and stressful. Now, it's like an annual checkup. We know what we need to bring to our meeting. If we forget anything, then we can either email it or drop it off as needed. She e-files our taxes. She mails a hard copy of our finalized taxes to us within a week. The tax report folder is even embossed with the year. Little touches like that are greatly appreciated! Julie M's review resonates with me. After having Wilson Harris do our 2017 taxes just fine last year, I have yet to get them to do any meaningful work on my 2018 taxes this year. They filed an extension for us but seem to be in no hurry and the Oct. 15th extension deadline is now quickly approaching! They keep putting me off and/or not responding to me. I'm afraid we will have significant penalties. I hope they see this review and do something immediately to finish up. read more
