I have been deciding for the lasts couple of months wether to even write a review and I normally…read morelike to give businesses the benefit of the doubt because i know all weddings can't be 100 percent perfect but for the money this company charges you should read this . I'm not sure who dropped the ball but I feel that with all the great meetings we had with the company and they were very specific on how everything was suppose to be planned out in writing and on their website the they have set up so I would put the blame on the DJ himself. I really just felt like he half assed it . Not to say DJ Dane was all that bad the wedding for the most part went fantastic but it felt like the job he did was the only glaring miss step out of an otherwise perfect night. Now I'm not mad at anyone I'm really only writing this so that when people see that they are "the knot" approved that they know exactly what their getting. I'll give a quick description of my problems with his mistakes . The ceremony went great we had them set up a mike which went fine ( he miss cued the song as we were walking down the isle after the ceremony so it didn't start playing til we at the very at the end). The cocktail hour was perfect ( no problems there) be when he was making the introductions for the wedding party into the reception hall he shuffled the order so we had scramble to make sure everyone came out at the right time (again did not have any song cued up right) . And basically almost all the songs we requested during the reception were played during dinner and when it came time to dance he started playing disco (something we made perfectly clear we didn't want at all) but we told him to stop and play something this generation which finally got some people on the dance floor( other than my disco lovin aunt) and he did that whole dollar dance trick that I've seen at every other wedding that got some people up . The reception stuff went fine( i.e. the cake cutting ,the first dance , the last dance) but we had to remind him to do the father daughter dance and the throwing of the bouquet ( which ended up not doing to save time and because most of the people at the wedding were married). Now I'm not all sour grapes about it the owner of the company was great and i would recommend the back lighting ( well worth the extra money) we had a fantastic night but we went to a lot of weddings this past summer and we by far had the worst D J . And had the most expensive one (we paid over 2000 for them) i would still recommend this company again just not DJ Dane.

I was horrified listening from the back of the church as my bridesmaids walked down the aisle - almost to the point of tears. I recently got our wedding video and was once again horrified when I had to relive it. The violinist missed all of the important parts, skipped chunks - seriously my high school quartet played this piece better. I wish there had been a stipulation in the contract that I could get my money back if they screwed up. Frank is a consummate professional; from my first contact with him he was straightforward, flexible, and always reliable. He is also incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. He made me a great deal when I booked with him for my wedding ceremony in addition to the reception, and he and his band learned several new songs for my event (every one that I asked about). The experienced and talented musicians of Center Stage also know how to get the party started. One of my great fears for our wedding (a common one, I know) is that the dance floor would be empty and awkward. We've all seen it happen. My fears were entirely unfounded, as the dance floor was busy the ENTIRE night. The music was a fun mix that appealed to a wide audience, and the band did a fantastic job of reading the crowd. Not only are they extremely talented musicians, but they are extremely professional and easy going. Frank, the band leader, was just outstanding to work with. Our venue was a little tricky because they had to move locations a couple of times during the course of the event, but they did so seamlessly. They played a good mix of classic Motown, rock and pop songs and had everyone dancing all night. Essentially they were a huge treat for everyone. They were able to accommodate songs we wanted for our first dance and processional song and played a mean Hava Nagila (great job!!). Some of our guests were also musicians and they were more then happy to let them play with them- such a special gesture. All in all we were extremely satisfied with Center Stage. We had a blast with them and they really rocked out!!!

Pete was very professional, he made sure people were aware that they were going to be up soon (for instance, the people giving speeches, parent/sibling for dances, etc.), and did a great job getting people excited on the dance floor. The great thing about Pete is that if he feels like a song isn't working (aka people are leaving the dance floor or it just seems like people aren't feeling it) he will transition the song into a different one. We knew that our wedding DJ would not need to be an over-the-top party maintainer (like so many DJs claim they are) - we wanted someone reliable and play the songs we had in mind. What we got was more than just a guy with speakers to play our music. To bullet-point the stand-out aspects of Bob: * very informative website with all details you need to know (before hiring him and during the planning process) * easy email and phone contact (will always call or email back quickly) * owner of a variety of equipment pending on what your venue calls for (good amount of items to choose from) * highly organized (thought of many things I didn't) * very ambitious (he visited the venue before we finalized things to tell us his final thoughts on equipment selection) * awesome online system to organize music, preferences, and all aspects of the event timeline * offers many preferences on his appearance and involvement in the event * makes everything simple Of planning a wedding, one of the most frustrating things bar-none was sorting through the junky DJs that wanted to be hired - they demanded a price that was far over my (or any reasonable) budget (sometimes entering ridiculous territory, several over $1,800) and more often than not, they had terrible websites and it took an arm and a leg just to get basic information out of them (you'd think if it's their profession to constantly be finding new gigs, they would have a website with Q/A or at least a PDF of their services and basic information on what they have to offer. We found Bob and had a great feeling from the start from both his website and communication and after a couple emails and phone calls, we hired him feeling very confident. Aside from preparing/organizing the event and signing him up, Bob did a great job at the wedding. He was on time with his equipment set up ahead of schedule (he helped with some equipment during the ceremony too). His table isn't cluttered with advertisements of his services (as many DJs are - this is something he mentioned right away that I didn't even have to ask about) and he did a great job playing our music, managing our preferences and keeping the dancing guests happy (as they come and go, you don't want to start a new song that makes everyone walk away, etc). As a planner to an event, the last you want to have to worry about are all the things you set-up and planned. With Bob, I didn't need to worry about anything regarding music the entire night. Highly recommended.

I have been to so many parties where the DJ uses speakers that are hard on the ears and just don't sound good. He definitely has the best equipment I've ever seen. Bob is very organized and we planned out the whole night of music in advance. His website was easy to use to create a playlist and an equally important do not play list.
