I gave him the OK to change the filter. He was there for a total of 35 minutes. When I asked how much I owed, he paused, as if thinking about how much to charge me. He told me $120 per hour. I said it was really "steep", and he firmly replied that that's his hourly rate. I called the office and complained that that is ridiculous for changing a filter. I was told that that is a flat rate because he had to drive out. We're 5 minutes from the office. I was given a 25% discount. The service was ok, but $120 to change a filter is outrageous. We had previously used their services, but I WILL NOT use them again. I rarely review companies....Incredible service or awful experience. This is easily in the 1 STAR category. This company offers a product called Leafaway Gutter Protection System that purports to provide…read moreclog-free gutters. It is a sham. Worse, they offer a lifetime clog free warranty but deny warranty claims on the ground that the clogging is due to normal wear and tear and needs normal maintenance not covered by the lifetime warranty. In other words, there is never a clogged gutter that would be covered as you would be told to clean the gutters yourself of the clogging, the very issue that is supposed to be avoided by the Leafaway system. Don't waste your money on them or their products.

The contractor and flooring installers were helpful in the walkthrough of the house. The lighting and plumbing guys were professional and have done a good job. These were subcontracted parts of the project. The work quality has been very good and subcontracted folks do clean up nicely after themselves. The adjustments in the project by the contractor have been easy to make and the work timely. If there is an area that needs improvement - it would be the project coordinator at Design Home Center. While picking out materials was a positive experience, there have been several issues in ordering incorrect materials - a 42" vs 33" vanity and countertop. While accurate measurements were taken, the numbers were not calculated correctly and the flooring installer and contractor came up short on flooring materials and trim components. This caused a delay in scheduling the installs of materials. Lastly, communication could be better when problems arise. The project coordinator did not contact us as homeowners to let us know of the delays, the installers and contractor told us of the issues. We have emailed several times and it takes 1 - 3 days to get communication back so we can plan our schedule a week ahead of time. I am hoping for a feedback form from the business to help them in improving customer service. Not sure that is part of their business processes though.

A year later, I knew p having the same issues, I called several times and the lady on the phone kept telling me someone would call me, no air conditioning in my upstairs area and no one has called. I finally gave up and called a different company. I'm not sure why they never called me back. Their customer service is non existent, can't say the same about installation and repair because they never took the time to even schedule something. I wonder if they think that because we are Hispanic family we don't have the financial resources to pay for their services or they simply don't want to serve certain populations. I don't recommend this company, save your time and money, call other companies around and give your business to someone that deserves it.
