This place a little hidden burger joint gem! All the hype is normally focused on In&Out which, don't get me wrong, they do have tasty burgers especially when you get it animal style. But Whimpy's burgers for some reason, to me, hits fresher! They have a similar "animal style" option for their burgers called "bandit style", which almost powers up the burger in a way. I always get mine this way, minus the jalapeños. Unless of course you're into your burger having little spicy surprise bits, then by all means leave them in! The customer service on this particular visit was outstanding. Someone was already at the register waiting to greet us and take our order. It was an average slow early afternoon Saturday. The establishment was clean and cool, thank goodness, since it was 90 degrees out. I got a traditional whimpys burger combo and subbed tater tots for fries. My husband got a sailer sub sandwich, which was almost like a double cheeseburger but on a brioche looking toe sub bun. Very yummi! We got sides of ranch, which has a nice creamy almost buttermilk style taste. And whimpys sauce, which I can only describe as a mixture of tartar sauce and thousand island. They have a variety of other sandwich styles and side options so what we you choose you can't go wrong! Sometimes they have meal deals that include free ice cream. This is a very biased review solely because I am convinced that every burger joint next to a school is always gonna hit, and I can confidently say that because the burger joint across from my high school to the one I had in Mississippi for my schoolhouse Marine Corps and North Carolina. Service was great I used the kiosk but as soon as I sat down I was brought my drinks promptly. I was not the biggest fan. It didn't look that busy and the food took a very long time to get ready. Not worth the price and didn't taste the greatest. The frys were undercooked and the Mozzarella sticks had a funny taste. The wimpy burger lives up to its name as the smallest burger I've ever seen for the price of a sit down restaurant. I recently ordered a fish sandwich from Wimpy Burgers, which was priced at $7.29. I also asked for an additional fish patty, expecting to pay an extra $3.19. The total came to over $11, which seemed fair at first considering the menu picture showed a thick, square, juicy fish patty. Naturally, I expected two of those patties in my sandwich. What I actually received was a sandwich with three small fish planks instead of the regular patties. There's no way these planks are equivalent to two proper patties. To be charged an additional $3.19 and still end up with a sub-par sandwich is disappointing, to say the least. This feels like false advertising since what I got doesn't match what the menu displays. For over $11, I expected a better portion and quality. Wimpy Burgers needs to address this issue with their supply chain or restaurant so customers aren't overcharged and underwhelmed. The 2 1/2 stars rating is way off. 5 stars for a classic burger joint. We got the burger combo and the kids loved it. Burger was consistent with most good burger joints. Seasoned fries were fresh, crispy on the outside without being dry or overdone and soft inside. Their ranch sauce was flavorful for dipping the fries. Service was fast and friendly. We didn't dine-in but the restaurant was really clean, looked recently updated. The soft serve ice cream was super creamy. The woman working at the register was EXTREMELY rude and told us she wouldn't take our order unless it was for a pickup order because they were closing in 15 minutes. Over priced, way to long for food even if its scratch cooking, Extremely poor customer service, order two drinks in drive thru and it takes 10 minutes to get your drinks and Mr Attitude thinks he is being rushed or something. Ordering inside is no better when I watched an older gentleman who was very polite to my kids who had just won ribbons in track and he went out of his way to congratulate them. The drive thru attendant was extremely rude to him and the three young men intentionally made him wait until the got the drive thru cleared while at one time or another his ice cream and banana split could of been completed. A friend in Visalia shared that the location there had the best burgers in town so I had to find out when this location opened in Lemoore. I started with the basic Whimpy Cheeseburger (FYI, you have to request cheese) and was blown away. The produce was crisp and fresh, the burger patty was very juice and the bun was perfectly toasted. Equal amounts of tasty perfection! My next visit I ventured out and tried the Fried Chicken Sandwich...FANTASTIC! Evenly breaded chicken breast with the perfect crunch, crisp fresh lettuce and the toasted bun was not overly coated with mayo. Next was the Pastrami that comes with a few hot yellow peppers on the side. The meat was so tender, not overly fatty or too salty and the pickles were very plump and juicy. On my visit today, I left the drive thru in haste as I had a quick appointment. I realized a short time later that I had left before receiving the second bag with the marvelous Chicken Fried Sandwich. I called the restaurant and they were so kind and said they would remake my order so it would be ready when I came back. Upon my return I was asked if I would like any additional sides for the inconvenience, which was so generous considering I left without the second bag. I selected the Zucchini Sticks (soooo good) and my remade order was brought to my vehicle in less than five minutes. The employee that delivered the order was so apologetic and was so thankful I wasn't upset. There was nothing to be upset about; I was actually excited to try a new item and meet a new smiling face. After many thanks you's and kind words were exchanged, I headed home with delicious aromas wafting through the care. When I opened the bag at home not only did they remake the Chicken Fried Sandwich and add Zuchinni Sticks, they also remade the Whimpy Burger and included Mozerella Sticks with Ranch! I can't say I've ever seen a restaurant go so far out of their way to right a mistake, especially one that wasn't theirs. To the team working on this day at 2pm, your kindness is so appreciated and you are a great example of stellar customer service that so many other restaurants have yet to achieve. We stopped by to check out this place, on our way home from Hanford today. We purchased 3 cheese burgers and 2 orders of fries. The burger to bun ratio was a little off, but the overall flavor of the burger was very good. The fries had some type of seasoning on them, and also tasted very good. The food tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The grilled chicken was burned on one side and the mushrooms were burned. The Frito boat had no meat in it, just chili and tooo much cheese and the mozzarella sticks tasted bad and 2 of them didn't have any cheese in them.
