I was going to buy my first house and knew nothing about home inspections, I am told that a lot of companies lie or don't really do a detailed home inspection. Brant Humphrey was contacted again for my home inspection (he had inspected another house for me) and I would recommend him without hesitation. His reports are very complete, includes color pictures of everything he inspects and practical recommendations for repairs.
