I was in Enid early today, saw the Winchell's sign, and memories of my childhood came flooding through my mind. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful display of donuts of all kinds. I had a decision to make.....I picked the chocolate cake donut (used to be called chocolate devils food). I also really wanted a long John but knew if I had 2 I'd get a stomach ache. The chocolate cake donut was fresh and sooooo good! The restaurant was clean and the lady that helped me was very friendly. I give this Winchell's a 5 Star rating! read more

This review is really a 4.5. The yeast donuts here are AMAZING! I've been a few times and the donuts are always soft, pillowy, and warm. Service has always been super friendly at this 24 hour joint. I am a cake donut person, but the cake donuts here are lacking. Stick with the yeast donuts; your taste buds will thank me. The donuts are made every day: early morning and around 5pm. These are the best times to pick up some delicious donuts. read more

I'm with Caitlin C. on this one, some people are being much too hard on this place. Any place open 24-hours around here deserves some credit. And most of their donuts are of good quality, definitely superior to a grocery store -- classically done, simple, soft and chewy. And selection has been plentiful on our stops. Plus it's Winchell's nostalgia baby! My husband grew up on these donuts and got me turned onto them while living in SoCal. I WISH we had more of these all over the state, but sadly, this is the last. I prefer their donuts over Dunkin's. I will admit Winchell's filled donuts could be better, barely getting a dot of filling. I usually go with their old fashioned, French cruller, or maple bar, and the kiddos love the sprinkle-covered donut holes. Their small dining room is always clean. I do wish they had a drive thru window, and parking is lacking. Being a one-man show sometimes you'll wait a bit for service while he's cooking in the back, but a little patience pays off, as workers here are easy going and friendly. I'm jealous of you Enid! We stopped in Winchell's to get donuts. The donuts were good and there was plenty of icing on them. The maple old fashion was delicious!

I don't understand the tough critics on this place. First of all, a 24-hour *anything* in Enid, or anywhere in Oklahoma, is to be celebrated and cherished. On top of it all, the store is pretty darn clean (skip the bathroom, though) and they keep a great supply of donuts no matter how random the time of day. And the donuts just taste like childhood - fresh and chewy and sprinkle-laden. Good stuff. read more

This place is not really anything spectacular. The donuts are just as good as buying them from the boxes at your local grocery store. So in other words, these donuts are just donuts... Not fresh donuts.. Just your average donuts that's been sitting in the counter for hours. The only reason it's getting two stars, is that it's open 24 hours.. That's about it. This place used to be a pretty good donut shop, but a few years ago, something changed. Not sure if it was ownership, staff, or just a mixture of everything. I decide to pick up some donuts for the family at 5 am, a variety box. One would think this would be the ideal time for donuts, get them fairly fresh as the morning crew wakes up with coffee and donuts before jobs at 6, 7, and 8. The place was empty and dirty. The lone employee was polite, but the look on his face was not one of confidence. When I got back in to the family's place, I figured out why. Absolutely terrible. I stopped by this morning to pick up two dozen donuts for a sales event we were having. Every single person that took a donut complained of how dry they were. When I called them back to discuss the quality of the donuts, the person who answered the phone was very rude. I asked if I could return a dozen for a fresh dozen and he told me no. read more

Mediocre would be a step up. Doughnuts are flavorless and dry. Filled doughnuts have very little filling in them... not worth the money. Would not recommend in my opinion. read more

Donuts are always hot and fresh, always a good selection and refreshments are always super cold.

I like the fact that they're open 24 hours and they're the best doughnuts I've bought here in Enid since I moved here almost a year ago
