As someone who has studied under most of the martial arts teachers in East Texas, I would list Brad Bryan as one of the best martial artist in this area up there with Terry Free and Derrick Chandler. If you take his class, expect a variety that will challenge you. He will teach you how to defend yourself without the fluff of point sparring of many of the other schools. He also doesn't expect you to teach the classes for him without pay as upper belts although many of the members of the class voluntarily help each other perfect their techniques. I wish that he had been here 10 years ago. I feel that I wasted my time taking sports karate with high kicks that are ineffective and aggravated my hip. I also feel that some of the things that I helped teach in other schools were not as effective if they were effective at all. read more

Hard core self defense. None of the fu fu stuff you see in most schools. This school teaches you how to survive a street fight.
