I found out that they DO take card payments now with an added fee! So if you decide to visit, you can pay with a card either online or at the entrance, both will have a fee though. Or just grab cash ($10 for 12 years and older, $5 for ages 4-11, and 3 and younger is free). Also the train ride accepts card (with an added fee) as well. Bring water bottles and enjoy your nature time!

My wallet got stolen out of my car parked right next to my trailer and same thing happened to a woman about 4 trailer lots over.... Not very happy about that but it's not the RV parks fault. I would say they probably need add a fence around this place because anyone can just walk up and steal stuff. This town is full of theft, according to the law enforcement officers that responded to my call. Compared to the other RV parks around this one was a better fit for our family due to our small children.

I had brought my own pit to BBQ but for that exact reason I didn't because I heard the stories about the fake charges . I cant stress this enough..make sure your card is locked trust me . They tried to get me but was unsuccessful. No call or nothing prior , that's what made it suspicious. They are money hungry in a very petty way . It looks like a bed and breakfast with a pool and pool house. There is a garden and shabby chic decor throughout. Inside there are many tables and what looked to be a stage for music, although we didn't see that when we visited. The owner was so friendly. We had a reservation. The buffet changes based on what they have available and you are to take what you can eat to not waste. That day, my favorite items were the salad, dressing, cranberry sauce, green beans, and fruit. I appreciate the pride they take in serving their food. If ever I'm in the area again, I'll surely stop back in.

There are some playgrounds here and a restroom area with a walking trail that goes around the jones lake area and covers roughly 3/4 of a mile. It's a clean park overall although some maintenance could be done on the grass. I tend to walk here whenever I'm in Lufkin. Husband has taken to the outside walking path. The locker rooms are clean, as well as the gym floor and the equipment. I haven't tried any of the other services, but I did try their protein shakes. The 2 different ones I tried were good, and if it keeps me from hurrying home and feeling the need to eat everything in it is a win. There is an 18-month contract, they are a little more expensive than other gyms, but the other gyms don't have a sauna, hot tub, and pool.
