Since going to this vet clinic and the Dr Phillips location, my 2 pups are healthier and happier than ever before. Especially my little chubby pup. He had a thyroid issue and they put him on thyroid medicine and diet food. In 2 months, he has lost 2 lbs. which is a lot for a small breed. Another thing I like, is they know exactly who I am when I walk in! Makes my pups and myself feel really special. I can totally tell that the Dr really cares for the well being of my pups. He's compassionate and is very thorough. Special shoutout to Morgan. She called all my previous vets to consolidate all their records. She is warm and friendly every time I come in. And she calls me to check up on my pups the day after they have a visit. She has amazing customer service skills. read more

My dog was in distress and in need of quick care. I had secured an appointment at Windermere Veterinary Services. I was asked to make a deposit to secure the appointment. I had no problem doing so. I recieved an email from them confirming the appointment and if I needed to cancel or reschedule to call them. The morning of my appointment, my dog took a severe turn for the worse. I knew she was dying before my eyes. I personally left my dogs side to go to the clinic to talk to them about changing the appointment to the euthanasia procedure later that day. The cost was very high and out of my range for them to provide this service. I declined and politely asked for a refund of the security deposit. The secretary at the desk denied me the refund. I told her my dog was dying and I am here cancelling the appointment. She then said, "All deposits are non refundable". I was far too distressed to argue and left to get back to my dog. Approximately 7 hours later, my dog died. I felt it necessary to warn others of this companies refund policy when booking an appointment. Although I am certain they provide an excellent service, one that I will never be able to experience, they have a lot to learn about how to treat their customers when it comes to distress, heartache and trauma after losing a beloved pet. I did send an email out this morning to WIndermere Veterinary Services about my discontent. Whether they reply back to me, or not, is irrelevant at this point. It was the owner who had the secretary inform me I would not be getting my refund back. It was THIS decision that was made which prompted this ONE STAR REVIEW. I wish them well, but warn other potential customers to beware of their hidden policies. I do not know what else they will hide from you financially, but I have never in my 13 years with my dog been treated with such disrespect in a moment of complete trauma and turmoil. Sorry Windermere Veterinary Clinic. I really thought you would do better. read more

I am so grateful for Dr. Qasim and his amazing staff for their amazing care for all my furry family! The Dr takes his time to get to know each one and can treat them with his expert knowledge until they ate back at 100%. My girls are both almost 15 years old and they both are still like puppies only because of the great care of Dr. Qasim.. He is the most compassionate Veterinarian in the State of Florida! Senior dogs need special care and understanding... I am blessed and so thankful upon moving back here to Florida to find such an amazing Veterinarian.. The doctor is amazing, smart and compassionate. His healthcare team of techs are AMAZING... what isnt amazing is the receptionist Paige. She is awful and talks so ugly to people. Additionally, she speaks for the doctor - she gives medical advice and directions, but later when you cross-reference what she's said to you with the doctor - he has no idea what you're talking about. Paige has zero compassion. On multiple occasions she's told me to "go someplace else" and that they could "do nothing more" for my pets. When I asked the doctor if we should go someplace else - he looked at me in confusion. I'm so incredibly hurt by the treatment she's provided. This doctor has another office in Dr Phillips - it's 100000 worth the drive and youll receive compassionate competent care. read more

The staff at Windermere Veterinary Services is so incompetent, I am seething... I had an appointment last week for my new rescue lab. The front desk girl didn't come out for a few minutes and then looked at me strangely as if I shouldn't be there. When I told her I had a 10am appt, she checked the monitor and replied "Your appt has been cancelled." I said "who cancelled it? I didn't get a call or an email" in which case she said "Oh, you were supposed to get a call." WHAT?! How does that help me now that I'm already there? I was told the vet wouldn't be in until 1pm, so I should just come back. No...I have to work and can't return later on. So I was told come back the next day. Once again - no, I don't have availability! I decided to write it off as a small error and rescheduled for today, Tuesday April 28. My husband was with me as I put it into my calendar. There was no apology or remorse for this error. So imagine my surprise when I walked in today (again, nobody manning the front desk for about 5 min while we waited) only to be told "I have your appt scheduled for tomorrow." Needless to say, I hit the roof and replied "Are you serious?! You're doing this AGAIN?!" She sat there smirking, unable to offer a solution. I did not receive an apology or any option to wait, return, etc. Nothing. Because of their unprofessionalism and incompetence to make appointments, I wasted gas money, time and further delay in getting my dog the meds he needs. You would think new patients during this climate would be welcomed! But no...instead we were met with blatant inconsideration and a nasty attitude when they made the mistake not once, but TWICE. I will not only avoid ever taking my dog here, but would advise others (especially new patients) to avoid the trouble of going through this ridiculousness. Obviously, their lack of care speaks volumes and reflects poorly on what may be a great doctor. My dog will never know as first (and second) impressions shouted "we do not care". read more

Pup was having some issues so we went in. I was hesitant because the vet we saw last year was not my favorite. But all that was changed this visit. We saw the "Tuesday Doctor", I don't remember his name, but he was AMAZING. Spent time with us, we did not feel rushed at all. Raquel at the front was awesome too, got us in, weighed, paperwork done, etc. They had a plan for $450 for a year that includes dr visits, so I went ahead and bought it. He had xrays done and they were so gentle with my furchild, he had me wait while they got ahold of the radiologist to read the report. Went home with meds and will go back next week for a follow up. I have asked to only be seen on this dr's days. Thank you for taking care of us. *the girls up front have called twice to check on the pup, we so appreciate that level of concern! *parking is in a strip mall type lot, very very busy with cars in and out so if you can't get up front, make sure you have a tight grip on the lead or carry your pup in. *puppy potty is all the way at the other end of the building. After treatments and being in there for almost 2 hours, it was a long run to get to the grassy area and then a garbage truck came roaring in and backed up as we were throwing a blue bag in the dumpster. If I could do a negative star, I would in a heartbeat. This "vet" seems to think he has a lot of knowledge regarding animal behavior. I was told that my dog is so "aggressive" that we should heavily medicate him or euthanize. I tried explaining that he has never shown this kind of behavior before and that he most likely is trying to guard me while in a small exam room as well as he fact that he is stressed and sick. Instead of attempting to work him through his insecurities being at the vet, Dr. Qasim got defensive and immediately started to bash the trainer that we have worked with for over two years (they have also never seen this behavior from him and he has completed multiple obedience programs to advance his training, all included exposure to new environments). It makes me wonder how many innocent dogs he has sent to be euthanized over behavior that is isolated to being at the vet. A more knowledgeable vet who understands animal behavior would have at least TRIED to make the situation more comfortable for my dog. Dr. Qasim also tried to SCAM ME into paying for deworming procedures, after telling me that he had a negative fecal!! This vet only cares about your money, and would rather convince people to sedate or kill your dog than help you. Extremely unprofessional. read more

How horrible is this?? Back in 2020 we had to put our dog (Chanel) to sleep as she was struggling. one of the saddest days of our lives. Flash forward to today and we get a text from them saying we miss Chanel and would love to see her again. SO WOULD WE!! I have been coming to this vet for the last 7 years and have always had a wonderful experience. The employees and doctor are always wonderful to see. I've been going to different vets for years to try to find a good one for my little Terrier. Dr. Qasim was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly with Bruno. All of the other vets I went to kept telling me to see a specialist about his digestive issues. It was so frustrating because I just wanted them to help me. Dr. Qasim correctly diagnosed him and gave him the right medication. Finally!! Bruno has had a drastic improvement in his health and is back to his old self! He runs around again and is playing with his toys instead of ignoring them. It's like having a new pup! I'm so happy I came to Windermere Veterinary Services! I highly recommend them! Took my cat here in a frenzy after she collapsed and couldn't walk. The girl at the front desk was unprofessional, rude and curt. She told me that she was the only one there--there was no actual vet there at all. So I went to a vet that didn't have a vet? As I'm frantically searching for the next closest place the girl answers the phone, rolls her eyes and says to the caller, "Yeah...she, like, thinks her cats in pain or something." Unbelievably uncompassionate, unempathetic and callous. I've had my cat for 16 years. She was screaming in pain. I find out later she had a slipped disc in her back. I am so grateful that she eventually received the care and kindness somewhere else. If you want to be turned away by a 22-year old untrained brat that doesn't care about animals, this is the place for you. If you want to see an actual vet that will comfort and care for your animals, go somewhere else. ANYWHERE. read more

I used to loath going to the Vet... It always upset my dog so much. One time, I took Bailey to the vet and heard her moan the entire time because of how much she hated going. But then we moved, and I found Dr. Qasim. He is an excellent vet & treats Bailey with so much care that she doesn't mind going so much anymore. We had to go in for some shots the other day, and he came up to see how we were doing. The whole time we were talking, Bailey just couldn't get enough of Dr. Qasim. She was prancing around him--almost like a completely different dog! I feel much more comfortable leaving her there. And of course, I picked her up with no problems. I brought my 20-year-old cat to this place on May 20th for an x-ray to check on breathing problems. While I was very appreciative that they took him in and did the X-rays, I am heartbroken that they did not share the entire information with me. Dr Qasim mentioned that my cat's chest was filled with fluids and recommended a specialist that was an hour away to remove the liquid. I asked him specifically if it could be cancer. Dr. Qasim said it could, but he never mentioned that there was a golf ball size mass on one side of his lungs. That piece of information was very critical and by not relaying it to me, he did a disservice to his patient because he sent me on a wild goose chase by giving me false hopes and sent my cat to his immediate death without seeing his family first. I hurried and went to the specialist with the hopes of getting some relief for my pet, without even calling my husband to discuss this. When I arrived, they immediately told me about the mass in the lungs and recommended euthanasia right away. I had to make that decision right then and there, which was a huge emotional trauma that crippled my psychology since then. My husband could not say goodbye to our cat, who has been part of our family for 12 years. As a veterinarian of 17 years, Dr. Qasim should know what pets mean for animal lovers; they are our family! If he shared the entire information with me, I would have known the severity of the issue and taken my pet home to allow him to wander around the yard one last time, eat his favorite food and treats one last time, see our other two cats one last time and allow my husband to say goodbye. Even I was not able to give a proper goodbye because I was taken by the shock at the moment. I am very very disappointed with Dr. Qasim and hope that he does not do this to anyone else! read more

My dog Jojo loves Dr. Qasim. She always looks forward to the treats he keeps hidden in his cabinets in the rooms. We purchased one of his plans at the Dr Phillips location and it is good for both offices. Anytime we need to come in her office visit is free! This is great since she has skin issues we are constantly dealing with! Her annual vaccines bloodwork and unlimited nail trims are also included! I recently moved to the area, this vet was right next to my house and I thought that would be super convenient. I went in to get my two dogs shots updated. We didn't wait very long and were brought back into the room. It didn't take long to get their shots done but the vet was pretty pushy on getting other tests done. I understand that I was a new patient but they had been totally up to date on vet work in the past. At one point we were in the waiting room while they prepared the shots and we could hear the vet yelling at a vet tech through the walls. It was really awkward, and went on for a several minutes. I also felt like the vet would only talk directly to my husband. Instead of addressing the answers to the questions that I asked to me he would talk to my husband. I handle all the vet visits and had historical answers etc and thus my husband would defer to me. It felt like a round robin and was really odd. We got the shots but I plan on looking for another vet even though I'll have to drive further away. read more

Awful place. Took my dog away from me during routine check up. I could hear him barking and banging around out back. He was sealed up in a glass container and his eye was bloody. Figured out how to release him and left through the back door. Who takes your dog away from you during a check up? And seals them alone in a glass container ? They also argued with me over heartworm meds and would not even let the vet see my dog until I agreed to getting six months worth for all three dogs and tried to make me aign off on it ... very shady place read more
