They were really dirty after all the rain we had in December. I couldn't believe that they were able to fit us in so promptly. So this is a little different review. I called Window Dude to discuss a project and he quickly (and truthfully) told me it wasn't really what he does and maybe not even what his equipment is made for. BUT, even after he realized that he wasn't going to get paid by me. He still asked questions about the project, what type of person I should get and what kind of price might be fair as well. He also had suggestions of how to better clean the project I had in mind. Again, I'm not a customer but I'm a huge fan of guys who have enough sense and decency to still try to help out and offer his professional advice to make sure I do get my project done right. He probably kept talking with me for 15 minutes or so.. very very refreshing in this day of poor customer service and pay me now or you are not worth me talking to. This is the third and last time I will ever use or recommend these guys to anyone. I believe in the 3 strike rule...I made a mistake here..... Drew is a good guy but, lacks details, promptness, estimates and poor execution. I have nothing positive to say about his crew. Drew and I agree we should never do business future. I wish him the best I do blame myself for asking for a discount on 2 occasions since, on occasion 2 their work was weak and not thorough and on 3rd occasion(today) being 2 hours late and arriving without a clue of what they are supposing to be doing when they arrive.. OK, I am a bit speculative when it comes to window cleaning. For years I always did my own because I was never happy with the way our cleaning service had done them going on 11 years now. I always had to go back and hit the spots they missed or "didn't see" as one of their 'technicians" put it. This past FEB I called The Window Dude upon recommendation of my lawyer, who is also a customer of The Window Dude, because I wanted to try someone different. My current house cleaning company was charging what I thought was a lot for lackluster results for a tri-level home. I got a quote from Window Dude and it was almost spot on with what I was already paying the home cleaning service to semi-clean the same windows. I decided to see what the Window Dude would do for the same price. I had an appointment scheduled about 5 days in advance. On appointment day they called 2 hours before they arrived to confirm the time and to let me know how far away they were. The crew of two showed up on time. The work was great. The respect to my household items and in particularly our pets was profession and placed us in a comfort zone that put us at ease. We have some pretty tall windows in our collection of 17... and that includes two 18' sliders. They guys were done in about 2 1/2 hours. They removed all screens, cleaned them and put them back... and in the same window as each was originally without trying to put the wrong screen in the wrong window (we have custom sized and fitted windows). They really did a great job with our box windows in the kitchen, a place the cleaning services seemed to always not focus on even though we asked. Carpets, tiles, counters window casements, treatments and frames were pretty darn sparkly by the time they finished and left. I have to say the work was nice. So we did have some rain and weather this past Winter and Spring. By August of this year the windows were again dirty and in need of a cleaning. I called up The Window Dude and setup an appointment. To my surprise, they has an open appointment the next day. The day they came I was delighted to meet the owner, Drew. He was working with a new crew and was in process of training them. The team of three had everything done, once again, to satisfaction.... but this time inside only 2 hours. Unlike some professional home service companies, these guys are efficient and work as fast as possible while ensuring quality work. Good for them I say. I have a tentative appointment to have The Window Dude clean my windows again this, oh I'd say FEB, once again. Twice a year seems to be the magic number for my home to have The Window Dude work his magic. read more

These guys did an okay job, but I am a bit disappointed since I tried this company via homeadvisers.com. They arrived early, which was fine, and they finished in about two hours. Although the job isn't perfect, in general it was an overall positive experience. However one screen in the loft area wasn't put back in the window, and now my roommate and I have to deal with that ourselves, because I don't feel like waiting around to have them come back again. Both fellows were very nice, and that goes along way for me, considering the general temperament of most contractors. read more
