Kelly has been able to conceive how the house should be set up from details in the powder room to large pieces of furniture in the living areas. Kelly was able to furnish our house within our budget using a combination of high quality items and lower cost items where the quality is less important. Kelly has excellent support (Ashley). When you're spending…read moremoney on a stager, especially one without many reviews, I personally would have really preferred a more in-depth review explaining everything and how my experience was in hopes it'll help others make a more educated decision on who to hire. Ana from Sapphire Staging had been pleasant to work with when we first started. Her and her partner were very excited to take on our project and were able to bring almost everything over in a single day. For the design of our house, a lot of the little items and the art they picked did not fit at all. I spoke with them about it and they were willing to swap out the art for different pieces but said they'd have to charge for new knick-knacks. To be fully honest, I did end up hiding a large majority of their items that went on shelves and counters inside of our drawers because they simply didn't fit the vibe of the house at all. If I were to grade their furniture, I'd give it a B-. It's not awful, but it's not nice furniture by any means. From the tags I saw on items, it looks like they shop exclusively at Home Goods and World Market. In the end, it still worked out well for us, but it was a big difference than the more expensive stagers who use high quality furniture like RH. But you have to keep in mind, they are cheaper than most so it makes sense. To further prove a point, our photographer was asking about the furniture and when we told him the price he said "ohhh okay that makes sense, I was wondering why so much of it seemed like cheap furniture." I'd highly recommend making sure that you tell them everything you need staging for before they start on Day 1, if you make them come back with additional items, they will charge you per piece. This part is the VERY important part. If you decide to go with them, which I would not recommend. I'd HIGHLY recommend doing a walk through and making sure everything is proper. Ana did not put her candles on any sort of plate/holder and left them on an incredibly expensive one-of-a-kind live edge table and also left red candles on a white concrete fireplace in direct sun. When I went to remove the candles(they didn't fit the aesthetic of the house) there were two outlines of the red wax embedded in our concrete and simply would not come out. I told them about it, and they said they were so sorry and that's all they did. I had to get a quote from a contractor to fix it and since it was white cement, to get the stain our we had to demo the layer of cement and pour a new coating. The total cost was going to be $2,100 for that. I told Ana and she brought "professional" cleaners over. Her cleaners made it even worse and after that, she took a photo of a different area of the fireplace and lied to us saying it was good to go when it fact the stains were worse and the texture of it was completely removed. We then paid her the money(our mistake for trusting her without looking) and she has not texted us back or answered even one of our calls. At this point in time, the only way I'm likely going to get the money back for what I had paid for the fireplace in the first place is going to be to bring them to small claims court. I thought she was a great deal at first with her price, but after the headache she's been to work with and the massive amount of money that she cost us, I could never rightfully recommend someone using her in the future. It has been an incredibly unprofessional experience with her from the start and since she had been nice, I tried to overlook the poor design taste that kept trying to sneak into the house and her reluctance to add anything else like nice fake plants. That said, I would have never gone with them in a million years had I know the end result. I would much rather have gone with a more expensive, well established company who will take care of their customers.

I selected Seed Design+Build for a 2020-21 top-to-bottom renovation of my Silver Lake home and this…read morecompany did a great job. Seed and its owner Reeve Schley, receive my highest recommendation. Seed did earthquake reinforcements to the foundation, wall & ceiling insulation, new electric, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, new solid hardwood floor, exterior finishes, windows, new roof and exterior hardscape, and finished the garage (now an office/workshop). Seed constructed gorgeous custom built-in wood interior casework (shelves, closets, floor and ceiling moldings) in every room. Seed redid the bathrooms (stone and tile flooring, shower/bath tile, custom vanities, shower enclosure, plumbing, fixtures) and a down-to-the studs all-new kitchen (stone floor, tile walls, gorgeous custom built-in wood cabinetry, plumbing, lighting, appliances). Seed constructed a highly-engineered new deck: poured concrete footings, installed structural beams, decking, and steel frame for a vendor's drop-in electric louvers (a movable patio roof). Seed did an excellent job on all of these trades and I am extraordinarily happy with the high-quality and superb craftsmanship of the work. Seed brought highly-skilled employees and a wide array of sub-contractors to my job, who all did excellent work. Seed's owner Reeve Schley attended my weekly construction project meetings, is refreshingly straight-forward; he did what he said he would do, when he said he'd do it. Reeve collaborated well with my architect, engineer, and louver vendor. My project started three weeks before Corona Virus shut down the country, and Reeve dealt with never-imagined problems, (LACity COVID worksite rules, huge supply chain disruptions [windows and tile delivered 3-6 months late], worksite parking and neighborhood noise constraints, etc.) with professionalism all while retaining his team's focus on delivering high-quality construction work. Our house just became a royal palace!…read more For four years we've been meaning to put on some window coverings, we tried to find something that would fit at Target, Ross, Walmart, but everything was either the wrong size or some nasty cheap material which we didn't want at our house. I tried Craigslist and learned then, that custom window coverings aren't nearly as cheap as Ross and the other stores... This put us at a dilemma of a decision because the price gap was substantial... We were looking at 100 or 200 dollar stuff, but got quotes of several thousand from CL people. We then decided that putting on window coverings just wasn't a priority a completely abandoned the idea. About 2 months ago we found Sveta's company and spoke with her about options, costs and what we'd be getting... Here's what I can report back fellow Yelpers... If you are looking for some cheap stuff, then those stores I mentioned are the way to go... But if you want something that is quality and looks amazing, go with Sveta! She's cheaper than people from CL, she works with you one on one to get you what you want and the prices vary based on materials... We figured that its finally time to spend a little on making our home look beautiful and it all worked out!!! Worth every penny and then some!!! Right now I'm having her do my mom's place!!!
