We had this door installed in 2020 and the overall quality of the door is excellent but service to get it installed and the install quality are pathetic. I had felt a draft during the cold season and being a typical husband didn't address it right away. Yesterday I removed the trim and the first section showed a 6 or 7 inch area with no insulation. I decided to remove the rest of the trim and the top - no insulation and I could feel the air blowing in. I have a bunch of photos to add to this review. Wow, I really wish this wasn't my first review of 2020. But here we are ... unfortunately! WARNING DO NOT GO WITH WINDOW WORLD UNLESS YOU'RE INTO WASTING YOUR TIME. After they installed our windows a few weeks after our contract said they would be installed (which they didn't even have our windows manufactured until after our contract date...), they put the windows in and we had issues with 6/10 of them immediately. A service guy came out and was so embarrassed and disappointed in the work the installers did. No quality control whatsoever. They offered a $200 discount. Which I find very insulting. Then they fight with you about it publicly on other social platforms. Save your time and your energy and get your windows elsewhere. read more

I bought new windows for my entire house a couple of years ago from Window World. We've been having trouble with bugs getting in one window and a mouse getting through the storm door that they installed. I called and asked them if they could fix these things. They said that they could come look at and fix the window because it was under warranty, but I had to pay a $75 service fee. So I had to pay for them to honor the warranty. Turns out that they installed the screen backwards and there is a gap between the sliding parts. Still had to pay the $75. They looked at the storm door while they were here and said that they could fix it, but I had to pay for the repair because the storm door only has a 30 day warranty. I'm sorry, 30 days is not a warranty. And a gap big enough for a mouse to get through is not broken from use--it was not installed correctly, and not made to last! To fix the door, they basically added a weather strip and charged me an additional $50. I recommend shopping around to places besides Window World, and ask specifically about their warranty. read more

UPDATED to respond to WW: WW called me on all those dates AFTER I reached out to the company multiple times requesting a call back. We requested a change in trim color a week after we paid our deposit. The fact that it only changed it on WW's end in October is not my problem. It just further illustrates the piss poor communication at this company. They showed up with the wrong color and acted like they never knew. It was never "Fridays only", it was the preferred day for the one day installation. Which turned into four days stretched over weeks. Our schedules changed and we were still able to accommodate you within a week of your requests. You just showed up without materials further delaying the project. I don't know where "17 days" past the projected timeline is coming from. Deposit was paid end of June. WW projected 12 weeks until project completion at the latest. We were actually told to expect 8-10 but when we followed up we were told official policy is 12 weeks of lead time. 12 weeks would have had the projected completed in September. WW did not even have our windows ready until October and the project was completed mid-November. So this defense of the trim changed last minute in October is incorrect, as that was already past original WW's timeline. ------ Window World's business practices are some of the most unprofessional I encountered during my home renovation. They did not complete the project on time. They took almost five months to complete. They were some of the most condescending, dismissive, and outright rude customer service staff I have ever dealt with. We paid for our windows in June 2022. Our project was completed in November. We received no updates that I didn't have to call and beg for even when our project was 8+ weeks outside of the latest date quoted to us when we put down our deposit. They were scheduled to come and complete what was supposed to be a one day installation on four separate occasions and either didn't show or showed up without the necessary materials due to poor communication within the company. Per their company policy they don't feel obligated to reach out to immediately following incidents like this so after the first delay and an incomplete job we went five days trying to contact with an updated timeline. Every time I called to get basic information about our project it took multiple attempts over the span of days to reach them and then just plain rude and dismissive attitudes from the entire staff. I genuinely don't understand how as a company you can take thousands of dollars in a deposit, provide no updates on an overdue project and explain it all away as your standard business. The final product was... fine? The interior framing feels a little cheap and isn't as sturdy as I would like but I would genuinely prefer to just fix it myself in the future then have to ever deal with their horrible attitudes. During this process the manager assured us of a discount to compensate us for wasting our time to the level they did. In the end it was a 5% discount which based on how much time they messed around with us really did not feel like enough. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen and dealt with. Ordered window in September and got the window nine months later. The workmanship is horrific . The window does not fit has huge gaps which makes the window leak and Condensation issues. I called they sent a service tech out he agreed the window does not fit and needs to be replaced. They fired him the next day. Sent a second crew out also agreed the window does not fit and needs a new window. He got fired as well. They will not do anything about it. Asked for a refund and to come and take my window out refused. Told me I needed to buy a new window. The The whole thing is the biggest joke I've ever seen. I needed to replace all of the windows in my home(24+ windows). My experience with window world of Midlands was superb, start to finish!. The sales rep, Chloe was very knowledgeable and informative. She was realistic in terms of delivery times, and helped us greatly to think through best options. They kept us informed of delivery dates, install team showed up on time. Install, led by Daniel Souza, was excellent! They told me what would happen and how.They worked fast, and efficiently. They repaired rotten sills, and made sure everything fit well. Good attention to detail. They cleaned everything up after the job so we could not tell they had been there--except for great looking new windows! However every time I check I get a different story now was told it could be early August I just find it hard to believe anything they say. They have never called me to update or suggest a solution. A couple hours later an office person called me back and said, ok we can send our guy out for an estimate right away today but we wouldn't be able to install your windows for at least 3 months... Eight windows were installed in my home and garage on October 28, 2021. It was clear the installers were not properly trained as they spent an inordinate amount of time on the first window alone. One window was improperly installed and, therefore, does not properly function. Three home windows were improperly installed. The three garage windows were improperly installed by using excessive screws and spray foam. The installers ripped off a gate that had been screwed into my garage thereby damaging my garage. My home window frames were damaged due to the installers hacking the paint and wood with hammers. By telephone, I contacted Window World about this issue on October 29, November 4, November 12, November 22, and November 24. I sent numerous photos of the damage to Customer Service and a few managers. I threatened to file consumer complaints which caused a November 29 visit by a supervisor to review the damage and he made a list of the numerous problems. To date I have had no feed back or idea as to what is happening, if anything. read more

But the real value was there extraordinary install crew they came in and worked incredibly fast with precise professional attention to detail cleaned up totally after themselves and got the estimated two day job done inside of a day. If I could give Window World a zero star rating, I would. Not only did they send out two rookie men to install our new patio door which took twice as long as it should have taken. The door was not insulated correctly so another person had to come and fix that. Then a few years later, mold was growing on the doors so they came and replaced that but when the installer added the foot lock, he must have ran out of screws so he used caulk to fill a hole. Then in the process he broke all the valance clips and I had to go out and find the correct ones to fix my blinds. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

We had an overall good experience through the whole process. We believe the price was the most reasonable for what we had been quoted from other companies in the area. They took care of pulling permits through the city for window replacement and scheduling inspection. Installation day came weeks earlier than projected as the windows arrived sooner from the factory. They told us what to expect for installation day and we were not surprised by anything in the process. The installers were contract employees and not Window World directly but they worked quickly and efficiently and did a nice job installing and finishing the windows. read more

I ordered my windows in Feb of 2022. Supply chain problems and such were real, and they were FIRST installed in mid May. Funny when I called and asked about my windows they said they were just going to call me. It took the quality guy 2 weeks to call me back. I had to tell him after he ran his mouth mansplaining that I actually knew more about carpentry than he did and to come and look at it. That took 2 more weeks. He was still trying to tell me incorrect stuff so I handed him a level to check for himself. (I didn't need a level because I could see they were wrong). There was chalk all over the sills and otherwise a mess. Windows were re-ordered. Again, when I called for an update in late July they said they were just going to call me. They were re-installed in August. These folks who NEVER reached out to me got a hold of me to tell me the install was complete, and I needed to pay up. I said not until it was inspected. Then I waited the amount of time I waited from the first HORRIBLE install to the barely adequate second install. My inside trim is all jacked up. They were fine with me waiting, but they were not so patient and sent me threatening letters. There customer service is non-existent. You and a couple of friends that watch some youtube videos can do a better job. read more

The windows we had installed look great. We opted to paint the frames ourselves and they look really nice. We had 10 windows installed, full frame and a new patio door. The job was completed in 2 days instead of 3. The reason I knocked a star is because I had to remind the office to send me an email the day before. I don't like asking people to do their jobs. Further, the guys who came were a little rough on my house. They slammed things on our new floors. They chipped paint in our room. They left marks on the wall from their ladder. I realize it's a dirty job but they should be a bit more careful about things like that. I also didn't like that they didn't clean off the dirt on the very high windows. It would be nice to have a clean window especially up in places I can't get to. Otherwise, I do really like our windows and that they were installed quickly and the guys were friendly, on time, and worked hard. read more

While we were super happy with WW fitting our new windows they did a great job and we love them, we weren't as impressed when they did our garage roof. Waited months and when the crew turned up at 4.30pm it took them an hour and a half. We have chunks of wood inside our garage that came off and splits in the wooden roof inside. No communication when they finished they just left. So we weren't able to assess. I would say definitely get your windows done with WW but not roofs. read more

This is the second time I have used Window World, and I've not been disappointed either time. This job was a large job with 15 windows, and although it takes a few months for them to get the windows in, they kept in touch as needed. They were willing to work with my onsite property manager throughout the entire process, so it was stress free for me. Since it is a rental, I went with vinyl windows, which were very economical, but were installed well, and made a material difference in the temperature in the room. We bought a house last year that was built in 1965 and still had the original windows and furnace in it. We knew going into the purchase that we would need to replace both but decided to space those pricey changes out some. We decided to get the windows done first so that whatever heat our old clunker of a furnace actually kicked out would actually stay in the house. Our realtor recommended Window World and we know that she sees a lot of properties so we trusted her. We had a quote from Window World done and one from a local box home improvement store just for comparison and Window World definitely beat out their competition. Chase was our sales rep and he was both friendly and knowledgeable, though a little cocky. He walked around our home with us talking about which windows needed to be replaced but also was honest about which windows were fine, which is nice. No need to spend extra money! We scheduled the appointment and the crew showed up when promised and did their work efficiently. At first I was a little taken aback (they were a little motley looking) but they did great work and really just left me alone. At the end, the lead gave me a tour of all the windows they'd replaced and walked me through how they work (again). We settled up the bill and called it good. We're happy with our new windows. We opened them for the first time over the weekend to get some air in and all function great. The house was noticeably warmer after they were put in as well, bonus! read more

The first installation I miss the guy by 5 Seconds I was actually here but he wouldn't wait any longer now that we're here so I had to wait and get rescheduled when they came out they broke my outside light they didn't tell me about it they also left big holes in the window sills where the air came through I had to have somebody come out here and look at the shoddy work that they did and then I waited a month for somebody to call me when I call back I was told that my landlord had called and said we didn't want them to come out and fix their errors and that was a bald-faced lie. And then I had to wait another month for somebody to come out here and when I came when they came out here even though the windows were leaking through the seals and around the windows they wanted to tell me to make sure that I had the windows completely locked make sure that it was filled that was the most asinine answer I've ever got in my life since the wind since the air was coming from the holes in the window sills that their crew didn't recaulk well enough to keep the outside air from coming into my house. Then so a total of 3 months later somebody shows up and they go around the outside of the house which isn't where the problem is they tell me they have to replace the outside light and they tell me that they're finished they still have not fixed the holes in the window sills with a cocking and I'll do it myself I will be charging them sending them an invoice for my labor and I will never recommend Window World to anybody back I recommend I stay as far away as possible read more

Brutal place to deal with. Sales associate was nice enough to come by, quote us, make us a bunch of promises and they refuse to deliver. Have had to call numerous times just be quoted an arrival date of the Windows. Was told I would get a call back Feb 5th, now Feb 17th, I called them back. Non apologetic. Was now told the Windows could be installed next week....problem is that it takes 3 days when the sales person said it would take 1 to install. Also amazing is that when I called in Jan, they wouldn't be able to do it until March. Suddenly they are available next week. 0/5 TERRIBLE SERVICE! 59 days past our quoted install date, we finally got our windows installed. It took nearly 18 weeks when we were told 9-11. Not only that, the sales rep was very pushy and lied about multiple things To make a sale that day when I was hesitant. Even said to me "if you don't make a decision today I will have to waste my gas driving back out here." Window measurer cancelled at last minute for no reason when I took PTO to be there. When he finally came after I rescheduled, he walked on my brand new carpet with his shoes on and didn't even ask if he should remove them first On our scheduled install date (16 weeks later), I was quoted an arrival time of 8-10am. the contractor called me at 7:30am to tell me they weren't coming out because of a 30% chance of rain. AGAIN, a last minute cancellation in which my boyfriend stayed home from work and used PTO for. Lorrie, the customer service rep that I talked to was a snot. Requested a discount, she said no. Requested to cancel, didn't respond to my calls or email for 2 weeks, finally got ahold of her again and she lied about calling me and emailing me and I "must not have gotten them" acting like I was the liar. she said I couldn't cancel. I SIGNED A CONTRACT STATING MY WINDOWS WOULD BE INSTALLED IN 9-11 WEEKS. THE CONTRACT SHOULD NO LONGER BE A LEGAL BINDING IF THE INFO ON IT IS FALSE. I asked to talk to a manager. Mike the manager was not at all sympathetic about anything. Did not care that all his employees are unprofessional. Did not care that combined, my boyfriend and I lost out on 3 full paid days of work because of their lack of communication. ONLY Said there was no way he could control the weather, as if that was my only issue with this crappy company.. NOT. Mike finally promised a discount, but would not tell what that discount would be until AFTER install.?? That's the sketchiest thing I've ever heard. Finally, install day (18 weeks later) the window installer left without framing my windows With brick molding which was supposed to be included with instal. Also paid for 2 additional windows to have new brick molding put on for aesthetics at $90 each. The installer told the city inspector when he questioned why the new windows we're framed and the guy said "the homeowner decided they didn't want our company to do it." ITS ON MY BILL OF SALE..called and complained again, the project manager came back out the next day and offered to wrap the 3 windows they installed for free to make things right. (An upgrade from brick mold and A $400 value they claimed) Then inquiring about my "discount" I was offered by manager mike, he gave me a wimpy $100 off. For all that? Buyer beware!! The ex-cons they sent to install my windows tracked in a tar like substance which ruined the carpet in one of the bedrooms. Worst of all they ruined my siding!!! They use cheap caulking that bleeds and it permanently stained my siding. Absolutely terrible install, product and customer service!!! read more

Window World driver was very aggressive and tried to run me off the road. This was a driver in a blue SUV pulling a window world trailer. Very unnecessary especially when driving while representing a company. I will never do business with Window World and will make sure all my friends and family do not either as thy try to injure/kill drivers!!!! read more
