I highly recommend everyone stay away from TCR. TL;DR several roofing installation mistakes made, severe lack of communication from TCR throughout the entire process, and I was asked to write a review before work even began - red flag. After getting roof replacement quotes from 5 different companies, I decided to go with the second to cheapest option - which was Twin City Roofing. And of course, I got what I paid for. The problems began after I signed the quote and handed over the deposit check. I live next to a day care and young children play outside all of the time. Paul, the project manager that was working with me, suggested they perform all of the work on the 4th of July week since kids likely wouldn't be at the day care then. I arranged with my neighbor to not have kids there that week. A few weeks go by and I didn't hear from Paul or anyone else at TCR. The Friday before the 4th of July week, I reached out to Paul to find out when they would be coming and he said "Next week I believe". Then on Monday when no one arrived, I reached out to Paul again. He responded by saying he was on vacation and that Robert P. in the production office could help. I reached out to Robert and he said "I can tell you it won't be this week." Obviously I was unhappy that the roof wasn't going to be replaced that week but I was more upset with the lack of communication throughout the process. It should not be on the client to have to contact the company multiple times to try to get answers. Nonetheless, when the roofers came to replace the roof on my house, garage and shed, they came unannounced. The concerning issues came from work on the roofs. The shingles on the ridge of my shed transitioned from shingles that are meant to be put on ridges to what look like starter shingles. It is very obvious this is not correct. And on my garage, there is a full 15" of a starter shingle that is literally just hanging from the edge of my roof. How did this get missed?? And the biggest issue is with the flat roofs on my house. I asked all of the appropriate questions to Paul from the outset to make sure that there would be grading on the flat roofs such that all of the water would flow to the spout and drain. Alas, a few days after the work was complete, we got our first rain storm and I saw water pooling along the edges of the flat roof and heavy pooling in one corner. I contacted TCR on July 14th and sent pictures of all of these issues. I didn't get a response so I sent a second email on 7/20. I finally got a response from Tyler and he asked me when would be a good time the following day for him to check out my issues. I responded with a time in the morning. I then didn't hear back from him and he did not show up the next day. I was later contacted by Robert and he said he was working on a game plan on getting my issues addressed. Five days later (7/26), he sent another email saying he would have a game plan the following day and he would let me know. As you can imagine, I did not hear from him on 7/27. I emailed Robert again on 7/28 with no response. Finally on 8/9, Tyler came out to my house to take pictures of my concerns. He agreed that all of them need to be addressed. He said he would let me know soon what the next steps would be. I have not heard from him since. I emailed Robert on 8/16 telling him Tyler came out to my house and that I was looking for more information when the fixes can occur. I have not heard from TCR since - at all. I should have known from the get go something was off because after I gave Paul the deposit check, he asked me to write a good review of his efforts to boost the company. I was certainly not going to write a review for services that had not yet begun. If you do go with TCR, make sure to pay as little as possible up front so they have to come back and fix issues before they get their full payment. read more

This company is so disorganized and is losing employees. I was assigned three different project managers and never received any information about how a phase of the project went. The crews showed up without warning three times, which is dangerous and disruptive for my tenants. They attached my gutters to rotten wood that was supposed to be replaced and left the gutter guards with space so debris can get in. I have never felt so helpless and trapped in a contract with a company that does not communicate about what is to come, what has happened, and what will be. I am not certain or confident that the work has been finished and finished well. They really broke my trust. The stress, anger, and fear that I have felt for the past six months cold never be worth the price. read more

Twin City Roofing was an excellent service, the job completed on time (prior to end-of-month, June, 2018) and the entire working crew was professional, tidy, and master craftsmen. I was quite impressed! (Jason, in particular, who provided the service for the siding was great!) I was equally impressed with the service that Country Financial (Randy and Bob) provided for this project as I was with Paul Wellnitz (Twin City Roofing). This was one of the only roofing companies we talked to that understood what we wanted to do on our roof right off the bat and was able to quickly get us a cost estimate. Their estimate was the exact price that we were charged even though there was some misunderstanding about the amount of insulation we wanted--they provided the insulation level we wanted at the price they originally quoted. The employees were friendly and professional, often working late to make sure our project got done before real winter came. Overall we are extremely impressed with everyone we've interacted with from this company and extremely happy with the amount of snow our roof is retaining this year--no icicles yet, even when every house around us has them! read more

TC Roofing took care of everything re: hail damage to my roof, from speaking/meeting with the insurance adjustor, to follow up emails/calls with my insurance company. It has been 2 months without anything from them, so I am moving on to other companies that can do my vinyl siding, painting and insulation. read more

Ellen SeidlingerTestin · 10 minutes ago We used TCR for our roof replacement summer 2017. This summer we started experiencing water coming into our over-the -stove microwave. Repeated attempts to have TCR come look at the roof to check the roof vent to make sure it is functioning properly and that no water is getting into the attic appears to be something they don't want to deal with. Our problems with TCR began with the roof replacement itself. The crew was very late to the jobsite. In this day and age when you expect repair or workmen you get a phone call the day before and the day of alerting you to expected arrival time. With TCR absolutely nothing. We finally had to call them and ask if we had the correct day for installation. When the crew got the roof off they found water damage and the entire roof sheathing had to be replaced adding thousands to the estimate and not covered by insurance. I realize this happens but this is why I'm so concerned now about why we're getting water into our microwave and why I'm so upset they don't want to have anything to do with even checking it out. The roof crew knocked over and broke a table on our patio and didn't bother to even let us know they had broken the table--furniture had been moved and when they moved the furniture they very clearly knocked over the table shattering it. I was astounded that the crew foreman hadn't bothered to alert us to the damage or apologize for it. TCR also sent a crew out to replace and upgrade our entire gutter system. We were consulted about a change in direction they wanted to make to a downspout in the front of the house which we denied. But they changed the direction of the downspout on the side of our garage without asking our permission and the change in direction of the downspout wasn't discovered until the crew had left. Now instead of the rain going off to the SIDE of the house onto the lawn it spills directly onto our driveway. Not so bad in the summer but with snow melt off the roof in the winter the water from that downspout spills onto the driveway and freezes and it created an ice hazard the entire winter. I'm extremely peeved TCR did NOT consult us to the direction change of the downspout. I can only assume since the foreman asked once for a change on a different spout and was denied he wasn't about to ask again, At the time of obtaining our roofing estimate we asked for an insulation recommendation. We had the attic insulation inspection but never heard back from them with an estimate. Repeated attempts for the estimate met with silence. TCR seems eager to take your money and then doesn't want to know you. Would I recommend you use Twin Cities Roofing? NEVER, as they were not easy to work with and if you need them to come out and deal with problems after the fact they do not want to know you. read more

We needed to fix Our roof and gutters and contacted four companies to give us estimates. Additionally, we had leaky skylights in our three season porch that needed to be addressed. Twin City Roofing set us at ease right away with their professionalism and style of communication. They walked through each part of the job with us and their solutions were better than the other businesses we contacted. They communicated with us throughout the project and were very responsive to questions. Then the work was done exactly like they said it would be and for the first time on a project, the price we were quoted was what we paid! Had a horrible experience. They did not order the material and never contacted us to inform us about it. We called several times as the job was supposed to be completed in 45 days. We first started to call after 7 weeks of hearing nothing to figure out what was going on. We never received a call back. After we had finally got through to speak to someone, they had lied and said the wrong product came in and it would take a week longer for the correct product to be received. After an additional call, they informed us that they didn't order the material to begin with and we would have to continue to wait. When finally dealt with owner, he stated that he's doing his best to receive the product and install it as soon as he can. At this time (8 weeks later) we still have not received what we ordered and are still dealing with the company. Would never recommend this company to even my worst enemy! worst experience ever! 1 star is generous! Wish there was an option for negative stars!! We called to have our windows and siding replace. 1st they sent the wrong person to do the est. (he was the roofing guy, and really knew very little about windows and siding) This did lead to the only bright side about the project. He did under bid the job. (or so they told us) Then the said they were gonna "honor the price" well, we had a signed contract so that's not saying much. We were given an approximate start date pending getting all the materials. As time went by, they actually had to return to our house no less than 4 times to re-measure due to them not having the right person out to begin with. several of these return visits had to be inside measurements, so we needed to be there. On top of that, several times they never showed up and we had to call them to see if they were still coming, only to have them then reschedule. Moving forward, things finally got ordered and in and the project got started. We were given a completion date of about 2 weeks. The project took 2 months. Throughout the project, communication was a continual struggle. They left the job site a mess every day. Fixtures that were removed were just left out in the yard. Many details were left half-assed. The person doing the work and the "Project manager" were having a conversation 1 day about how much money they were making off me, and how this would be such an easy job. We had a light on the deck that didn't work after they were completed, and they said it wasn't their problem. (Light was put back up, but not wired correctly) These are just a few of the examples. Overall a complete nightmare!! Don't expect any calls back, and you'll have to call them several times to get anything done. Near the end, They were working to offer us some type of refund, but then they let the 1 person go that was helpful to us! We ended up letting it go purely out of frustration and really never wanting to talk to this company again! Now this winter we had a window crack. The windows have a 100% warranty, so we called them to have them fix it. Again, no response so we had to call several time. Finally they came out. Told us they were going to order a new on, no problem, that it was a flaw in the window. We were told it would take 4-6 weeks. (seemed a little long to me, but who knows.) now it has been almost 2 months and we haven't heard anything. I guess we'll start calling them again and hopefully if a few weeks we'll get a hold of them...maybe in a couple more months we'll have the new window. My advice. RUN, don't walk, RUN away from this company! I will NEVER use them or recommend them to ANYONE!! read more
