My dad passed away in January, had set up a bathroom remodel through this company and the VA, put a 3k deposit down from VA funding but the remodel had to be pushed back several times due to my dad's failing health. Now that hes gone, and due to previous work( that they since fixed) we did not feel comfortable giving them a chance to do the other room due to clear lack of quality in their work. Now the VA wants their money back and this owner said sorry we ordered the parts already we wont give it back so we can repay the VA. So not only do we have to deal with the death of our dad,we have to pay them back money we didn't have. We had Windows, Doors, & More come to our home for a window quote, free per their advertising. After the quote we decided to go ahead with our order, gave them our deposit of $1,928, and had them come for a final window count and measure. The salesman and 2nd gentleman who came to our house to measure both told us that we could cancel anytime as long as the windows weren't ordered. After the windows were measured, we were planning to have all windows and our patio door replaced in our home with Windows, Doors, & More but soon received an email from the salesman asking us to give him a final count of our windows because they showed 2 different numbers and couldn't say how many windows we needed. Feeling it was unprofessional and that they didn't seem to know what they were doing with just the count and measuring process we didn't feel confident giving them $20,000 to complete the job. We asked the salesman for our deposit back because we weren't going to go ahead with the job. He gave us the run around for a while, refused, then deferred us to the manager who is actually the owner, though he didn't introduce himself that way, Kevin Hunter. He also gave us the run around, making my husband call multiple times to try and speak with him then he also refused. He told us we could go ahead with the job or forfeit our $1,928 deposit. I can't imagine what the final job would have looked like when it's very obvious they don't do very thorough work, I hope others learn the nature in which they do business and think twice before giving them any money. We had roof and gutter damage due to storm Cristobal on June 11, 2020. High winds tore through our area and we had the roof replaced on both our house and our shop building. We received our estimate for new gutters on 8/13/20 and ordered the gutter replacement. Joe Hayden told us it would be several weeks before they could start the work and he would contact us before they started. We called the office in October 2020 because we had not heard back from anyone. We were told Joe was on vacation and the scheduler, Michael, told us he would send someone to measure for the gutters. They were measured on 11/2/20. The crew arrived on 11/3/20. They were very professional, they got all of the gutters installed in one day, and they cleaned up everything before they left. We're very happy with the gutters. They are seamless, look great and we don't have to clean them out anymore. The price for the gutters was reasonable, as well. We would have given a 5 star rating, but we feel the communication could have been more prompt, and 3 months was a long time to wait for the gutter installation. The WD&M showroom is beautiful, by the way. It's worth checking out if you need ideas. Everyone there is very friendly and willing to help. We enjoyed our visit. They are animal friendly! read more

We got our quotes in April/May for residing our home and obtained the money in May. They were booked out 8 weeks min. They came in Sept. The 1st couple days my husband took off work to take care of anything that he needed to. The contractor didn't show up until that Thursday. Then after telling us he would be done on Sunday he failed to show up for even more days. Was in without help 1 to 2 days he did the "solo" worker for weeks. I called several times, complained to the sales manager. Finally after 7 weeks of this they got a small crew to come and finish the project. Please don't buy into their hot mess. We love Windows, Doors, and More! The staff is super friendly and knowledgable. They've done siding, roof and porch on two homes over the past 20 years as well as a new kitchen and bath recently. We recommend them all the time when we hear someone is needing home repair. A few years ago, we were on our way overseas when we discovered a rotted sill plate under the porch. The owner, Kevin Hunter, arranged for it to be fixed in our absence and we came home to a nice solid porch. A few months ago they repaired a roof and siding area for my elderly dad and worked hard to make sure it was as inexpensive as possible. No one else would have done that. I am writing about my personal experience with Windows, Doors, and More. I had a deck and underdeck enclosure done by them. The subcontractor that they used did a terrible job. I presented photos to the owner who would not believe me until he came and looked at the job. Not wanting the same sub back, he sent someone else to try to correct and make the deck presentable. Four months later when I returned from Florida the one ceiling fan had fallen from the underside of the deck. I had cracks on the deck posts that they corrected only to split out the supporting railing. After 5 years the deck boards on the facing of the deck, were coming loose more and more. Deck board were cut uneven at the house which was visible from inside house from day one. Because of the deterioration of the deck in such a short period of time, I decided to have it redone. When redoing the deck, the following issues were found many covered up. It was obviously done to cut corners in many cases. Why? To save time and money. 1 - The decking material was not laid in the correct way per the manufacturer. 2 - When your guy came out to correct the railing, he made it worse by popping out a piece to the decking material to hold it securely to the post. 3 - The deck was leaking along the brick causing mold, mildew on the bricks, and water to run and streak the windows downstairs. 4 - When decking was taken off the stairs, the stringers were rotten. The installers only put square pieces of 2 x 6's on the sides rather than replacing. This was a liability. 5 - The long boards on the front of the deck were coming loose. They were secured by 2 x 4's four feet apart. The back of the structure to hold these boards had used decking material not 2 x 4's. Liability issue. 6 - The gutter was leaking at the end by the house and had rotted out the underlayment. This would have only continued to destroy the underlayment without being corrected. Seamless gutting was not used. 7 - The ceiling fans were wired with indoor not outdoor wiring for a wet area. Liability issue. 8 - The ceiling fans were not secured with junction boxes the wiring was twisted and knotted around a wood block. Another serious liability. Now we know why the ceiling fan was daggling by the wire when I came home from Florida that year. 9 - The under decking ceiling was not sloped toward the gutter. Water was sitting in the ceiling when it had not rained for a long time. This is where the indoor wiring was. 10 - Because of issue 9, the ceiling fans were not going to be safe to use in the future due to water leakage. For safety moving forward they were replaced. 11 - The under decking was only secured with 2 rails. It should have had rails every 16". This caused the under decking to shift side to side at the ends. 12 - Movement in the under decking material length. This was due to the length of the under decking material barely long enough to reach from the side of house to the gutter. New under decking material had to be ordered to give the proper length. I wanted to let the owner of WD&M know what was discovered when replacing the deck. After many months of documenting the above and contacting the owner, Kevin Hunter, at WD&M, he got out of taking any responsibility for the job done because it was a subcontractor that did the work. They have a hold harmless agreement. In other words, you cannot come back on WD&M. He did not believe me even with all the documentation and photos. There was no way I would trust this company after how I was treated. As well as, uncovering many hidden issues. When a company spends the type of money this company does to obtain business, have a beautiful showroom, and employees I question how much of your money goes toward a quality job when it is a subcontractor. I am so thankful that I found a reputable contractor who did a wonderful job on replacing my deck and correcting all the issues even though it cost me twice the money. So beware. In summary, I would never recommend WD&M. read more

Ordered basement windows in July of 2021. After calling several times, finally got.them installed in December. Unfortunately, 5 of them would not open and 1 had already been installed. Not sure what happened, never got an answer. Another 4 weeks went by and I finally got a call that 4 were ready. The 4 were installed first week in January. I received a text at the end of February asking a good time to come by to re-install the last window. I said anytime and got a reply that he would let me know when it was ready. Finally finished the job on 3/9/22. Installers said I would get a discount. I mentioned it but still waiting on the call back, again. read more

Last August I went to Windows doors and more for a remodel in my bathroom the gentleman that I spoke with told me he was so busy you couldn't come until October to measure I waited I was fine with that he came out and measured everything I got a letter about him coming everything was fine never heard from him again I received a survey on my email I fill the survey out told them exactly what happen figured I would hear from somebody after they receive the survey. A cranky old lady came out to give us a quote on a total master bath remodel and did the measuring, etc. and gave us ideas. She then said a painter would call to set up a time to come out and give us a quote and the work would start soon after. A month later he finally called and got his quote.
