I have now replaced all my windows and doors by Bushey's. Just finished with a large window in the main bedroom, also replaced the front entry door and patio door. This is our second phase of window installs this year and we continue to be blown away at the level of quality, service, and dedication of the Bushey's team! Tyler (Team Lead), Luis, and Christian did an amazing job! We had a couple structural issues with our frames and they assured us not to worry - they would take care of it. I wish I caught a picture of all the reinforcements they brought in to rebuild frame and trim for our kitchen windows, but they made it happen! We bought a house that had Windows installed by Bushey's six months ago. The previous owner left us the receipt. One of the windows was fogging up and Bushey's replaced the window for free even though I was not the original purchaser. Their word is worthless, their agreed upon terms in writing are worthless...whatever they tell you, it can change at anytime for any reason they see fit. Don't pay them a dime until the deal is done and don't trust they will do as they say they will. read more

We recently had (5) windows replaced by Bushey's. I have previously used 3 other local companies for windows. Bushey's was the only company that exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed by the professionalism and the attention to detail. The trim work was very well done, all seams were caulked, nail holes filled with wood filler, etc. They used a slightly wider trim when they replaced my existing trim so that I would not have to touch up the paint (again, attention to detail). You can tell when a company makes the extra effort in their craftsmanship instead of doing the bare minimum and moving on to the next project. I told the salesman that this experience was one of a handful of times I have hired a company and felt like I received the level of craftsmanship one would expect from experienced contractors. In essence, I got my money's worth and that's rare these days. read more

Mr. Bushey listened to our concerns about budget and curb appeal and then helped us find a product that would meet our needs. The installers were kind, professional, and respectful of our home. Personal visit to my home to quote the work and take measurements. Very nice showroom. Custom made door was ready for install in 6 weeks and scheduled 6 weeks in advance at contract signing. I received a call the day before to confirm and was told they'd be there between 8 and 8:30am. At 7:59a.m. the installer rang my doorbell. Within minutes they were hard at work. Very nice, professional people who stayed focused on the job. Actually a pleasurable experience while they did the work; they kept their work spaces tidy and cleaned up as they went. I'm sure they came across a few things that were less than perfect on the job (rotting wood structure, etc.) but they accommodated and I didn't hear excuses or complaints. Will use them again when the time comes. read more

We are totally impressed with the work that Bushey's did for us in the replacement of 9 windows and the installation of a front storm door. We had let the leaky windows go too long and the framing wood underneath had rotted badly. Bushey's called in extra workers to get the wood replaced and the new windows installed before dark of that day. It was rainy and 40 degrees, so we didn't want to go through the night without the new windows sealing up the south side of the house. Jim Bushey is always available when you call the office. We saw this provider at the Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show in February. We stopped to talk to the owners son about a picture of a wood beam ceiling that was very appealing to us. He gave us some initial information and asked if we wanted to set up an appointment for him to come to our home and look at our living room ceiling and provide a quote. We set up the appointment for him to meet with us about two weeks after the home show. Jeff Bushey took our name and address at that time. The first appointment was cancelled due to Jeff being sick so they rescheduled for a few days later. My husband and I both left work early to meet Jeff at our home. When we got here we looked to see if there were any messages from him regarding the appointment or issues finding us. We had no messages and no missed calls. About 25 minutes after he was supposed to be here I called their number. Jeff came to the phone and proceeded to inform me that we were outside of their 60 mile area (in reality we are 42 to 44 miles from their front door to our front door depending on the route you take). He said he tried to leave a couple of messages telling us that, but other than the request to reschedule the week before we had no more calls from this company. He then proceeded to tell me that the distance wasn't worth it for the wood beam ceiling we were interested in and would be too far from them. I asked why they didn't know that before and he told me he had never heard of Silver Lake before and didn't know (and clearly didn't check before he was ready to come today even though two weeks had passed) where it was. I told him I was shocked that they waited this long to tell us that and he seemed disinterested in having wasted our time. Stay away from this company. If they run their projects like they run their quotes and customer meetings its a good thing we didn't go any further. I will say that my husband is an electrical contractor working for himself and we do not waste peoples time. We set up meetings and we show up on time. Their callous disregard for our schedules is insulting. I'm guessing they got local work from the home show and didn't need this project. read more
