We ordered 12 triple-glass windows from Windowtech in April 2026. The 2-day installation (June 8-9) took 4 days due to severe crew delays. Per sales manager's request "don't disturb contractors", we tried to be respectful homeowners and stay out of the crew's way. We ordered Pizza, fruits and drinks for them on Day 2 noon to appreciate their hard-working in the hot weather. ​Following heavy rain on Night 2, we inspected the site early Day 3 and discovered every delivered window was 1.5 to 3 inches shorter than specified in the signed contract. These 1 inch above gaps were only filled by foams. The size of gaps violate the Ontario Building Code and National Building Code of Canada (NBC) and the standard CAN/CSA-A4404.4 (Window, Door, and Skylight Installation). It leads to various concerns on weather exposure, structure, house exterior looks and etc. ​The crew's lateness directly exposed our home to storm damage. On Day 3, the installer arrived 4.5 hours late with incorrect interior trims. On Day 4, they arrived 2.5 hours late. When heavy rain started at 4 PM, making exterior trim installation impossible for two windows, the crew refused our requests to apply temporary weather seals. In total, 6 windows were ever left unprotected across 3 days of thunderstorms. ​On Day 4, we halted the project to hire an independent inspector, leaving 5 windows incomplete (including the 2 missing exterior trims). In response, the sales verbally threatened us over the phone on Day 4, and another representative, sent a threatening demand letter for full payment in the evening of Day 4. Neither of Windowtech employees ever visited our property to inspect the incorrect window sizing or the storm exposure before issuing these threats. We were left to deal with protecting two windows exteriors ourselves in a rush before the next rain comes on June 14th. We have to cancel planned father's day activities and summer trips because of the situation. read more

I am having some issues with the quality and installation of my new front door and have been trying since Aug 9 to have someone attend to amongst other things sunlight streaming through the door opening (photo attached). As I am in Oshawa and not local to their location which may be an issue for them but I am still waiting for even some sort of response from Windowtech. Customer service and satisfaction does not seem to be their strong suit. Even if you are local to them, I would definitely recommend that you choose another company. read more

In Sep, they took 600 in advance and promised installation in Nov. In Nov they called and asked to choose different design and quoted new date of Feb. Also gave 400 discount due to delay. Sent revised invoice So far so good A day later the sales guy calls and says that GM didn't approve the discount. You either pay full price, with delivery in Feb OR, you get partially reimbursed with deductions if door has been cut. I had to call them every day for next 2 weeks to get my deposit back. They did reimburse the deposit in full, but the whole experience was extremely unpleasant. They don't honor their own invoices and wasted my time. Let me start by saying this is the worst window installation service company you can imagine. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I replaced the existing windows of entire house(22+ in total), brick-to-brick, wooden trim, and others. What a horrible job installers did. Some say a picture is worth a thousand words. I'll attach more than one picture so you get the idea of 'installation quality' they provide A bit of background story: I've researched and contacted more than 10 companies, and I picked Windowtech as Eric (salesperson) seems to be honest and the total cost of replacement was about the same as other 5-6 competitors. After I deposited a fund, Eric conveniently disappeared or rarely available, and I was asked to deal with the office directly. The office rarely responds. Note of that! 1st Warning Sign!. When the installer (a team of three) finally came to install, the main installer claimed he has 30+ yrs of experience. The other two were helping the main guy with cutting wooden Window trims, caulking, sanding, moving stuff, etc. In the beginning, Window installation itself went okay, but I started noticing the window trim was cut with almost 1/4inch of a gap, which is not easy to caulk. 2nd Warning Sign! The other guy then came to caulk or applied wooden fillers. As you can see from the images, that's the mess they left with.. I asked the main guy to come and fix. He spent 2mins (no joke) sanding it and left. Then, he sent his helper to request the remaining payment. I thought I would make a payment and deal with the office separately. A big mistake. The office didn't respond, and if they did, nothing was done. 3rd Warning Sign! After 3weeks, the main installer guy came only after I threatened to leave a negative feedback. He came and spent 2mins to lecture me that the bad Window trim installation, the worst caulking job (even a 10yr old kid would have done a better caulking), and all other issues would be fixed by Painter. He can't do any work as he has a underlying medical condition. Conveniently, he now has a medical condition as the office got all my money. The window installation itself is easy. you can do it with any good carpenter. DO NOT fall for a sales pitch! In the end, for the AWEFUL window trim installation, I had to spend $3500 with 3 contractors to fix the mess (all caulking removal) by filling gaps, sometimes even redoing the trims. read more

After getting multiple quotes from different companies, I had signed a contract with Windowtech and paid a deposit for 4 replacement windows. Today I received a phone call explaining that they were adding an additional $800 per window to my job which was supposed completed in the coming weeks. After agreeing that this was due to the fault of Windowtech, they refused to honour the original price that I was given. I have now lost 3 weeks on an already tight deadline, with absolutely no apologies or sincerity from Windowtech. I am extremely disappointed by this company and their customer relations. As a contractor who is often asked for window and door company recommendations, I will never recommend Windowtech to any client. read more

We replaced all the windows and a back door in our 100 year old house. This job required extra attention to detail as well as modifying the frames in order to work with the existing architecture. Vlad did a FANTASTIC job, his many years of experience is clearly evident- our house was not an easy job and we can be picky people.
