She is strict but I feel that it is actually a very refreshing and great thing to have because we knew and felt that the property was kept up well and that we would be heard and taken of very well too. The tenants are her NUMBER ONE PRIORITY! Living here has been great. We have never really had any problems with our unit and any problems we bring to Linda are usually fixed within a 24-hour period. Communication with her is fantastic, and she is always available to listen to our concerns! She is also ALWAYS so warm and fantastic with my 2 kids even when they pester me to visit her office every time we walk past it! She is always willing to put aside time for YOU. If not for the fact that our family is simply getting just too big for the units they offer here, we would probably have continued to stay on. We will truly miss the amazing tenant care and service we have received at Parkside over the last 2 years. We are really going to miss living here. I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for 1 or 2 BR apartments. Prices are very reasonable, staff are amazing, and people are pretty friendly around here too. 5 stars for sure!

They promised that they would have 24 hour support if there was any thing that happened to my apartment or that has broken. Many things were broken on numerous occasions, and I called after hours and they pushed me off until the next day or two days later. We had squirrels, raccoons in our walls in the ceilings for six months. after many emails and attempts to get this fixed, they always would say we are working on it. Please bear with us. We also have gotten our car burglarized by getting our catalytic converter cut off in the middle of the winter. When we first moved there, they said they have security cameras that were watched 24 hours a day, which is a lie. I've gotten police reports and they asked me to talk to the property manager to get license plate detail from the cameras and they say they do not have any cameras there that they would have to watch it 24 hours a day and they will be responsible for any accidents on the property. To replace my catalytic converter cost me over $2000. One of their own workers that work inside the office was stealing rent money for years, roughly about $300,000 --$400,000 and they try to cover it up, By increasing rent that was originally agreed-upon $30 a year to Now $150 a year increase. They never fix anything incorrectly, they just put patch holes. Parking lot has nothing but potholes and cracks in it. Hallways they used to shampoo and clean, now they never do. It smells like wet mold. If I could give this place a zero, I definitely would worse apartments in Bloomingdale......

In just one week, we talked to more people than we had in three years at our old place! The community here is incredibly friendly and diverse, which we absolutely love. Our first impression of the apartment was fantastic. I'm quite observant, so it was clear that whoever repainted the walls and ceiling did an exemplary job. The carpets and appliances were clean, there were no funky smells, and nothing was broken or missing. We were also pleasantly surprised to find nice-sized 4x4x12 storage units in the basement garage for residents to use and a beautiful pond with wildlife in the back, complete with a walk/bike path. The location is perfect! Jewel Osco, Tony's, and Valli Produce supermarkets are right down the street, and the Meineke Recreation Center, where we can do all our fitness activities, is less than half a mile away. We've already added a couple of great restaurants to our list, thanks to Sherri, one of the apartment managers, who recommended them to us. Speaking of staff, Sherri and Elli, who run the office, are fantastic. They are so down-to-earth and all-around nice people who made my wife and I feel very welcome. We also met a couple of members of the maintenance staff, Brian and Jason. Both are very friendly guys and were just in our apartment the other day taking care of two problems: the beginnings of a small hornet's nest outside our bedroom window and a faulty gas burner. They were very professional and came out right away. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our decision to move to Beech Pointe Apartments. The community, the staff, the amenities, and the location have all exceeded our expectations. I have a feeling this is just the first of many positive reviews I'll be writing in the future.

The apartments are old so not everything would be perfect, perfect so when you move in make sure you note everything down with regards to the condition. I see people not getting a return on their deposits & complaining here though I know 4-5 tenants who lived and moved out & had no complaints. You cannot get a better price & service on an apartment at the heart of Schaumburg downtown. We loved the time we were there. Excellent Staff & support. Only good things to say for the staff and apartment building. Sherry is the Best & if anything get broken or needs service they are quick to get it fixed ! If I ever rent again in Chicago Burbs, this will be the first location I will look for an apartment.

( Potentially Relevant Data: Move-in Date: 03/01/2025 Move-in Finished: 03/06/2025 Pathing: Concrete stairs with railways (no elevators) Car Lot: Excess parking + Handicap Reservations Add-Ons: Private Garage/Storage Space Local: Walking proximity to nearby restaurants, grocery stores, entertainment, emergency services, etc. Factors Relevant To Personal Experience: Floor Elevation: Three (3) Building Identifier: "West" Age: 22 Tenant Count: One (1) Tenant Additions: Not bringing any pets ) - Solid rent that does not deviate based on the date of your move (like moving-in in January vs March, some other places will charge more or less depending on the exact date you move-in, and how long you choose to make your lease; Willows of Wheaton does not do that, and appears, at least to my current knowledge, to potentially only offer 12 month leases, which is perfect for me). - Super responsive maintenance, as I unfortunately had already needed to ask for them due to a small issue with the bedroom door not closing and the HVAC system making a weird noise that were both resolved within 24 hours! - Wonderful leasing office staff; they may have more than one person working the leasing office, but I only ever interacted with Lauren, and she is so amazing, super nice, and unbelievably helpful, accommodating, and relatable in any given conversation. I cannot thank her enough for all her help answering questions and getting stuff figured out in general. - The entire complex appears to be a super laid back, quite environment that has a foot of concrete in between each floor, so if you have someone above you, you don't need to worry about any noise they might be making, as you will likely not hear it (though I confess that I am currently on level 3, so I cannot vouch for this fact with 100% certainty, but it was something I asked Lauren about because I didn't want anyone to be bothered by me just walking around in my own place, and at my previous apartment complex, I had someone above me and I could hear every foot step they made lol). - My balcony (medium sized, and is made of concrete, and is designed in such a way so that you generally have privacy from your neighbors) currently faces the woods, so it's a perfect view with a super soft and quiet scenery that will only grow more pleasant when the leaves start to grow back over the next couple months as the spring season begins (I didn't really feel comfortable using my balcony at my last apartment complex because the balcony was made of wood instead of concrete, was semi-small, and I was on the second floor facing the parking lot, so everyone could see me as I sat outside on said balcony, and I just didn't really feel at ease using it). - If your apartment is on level 3, you will have raised ceilings. Overall, I have been having a great experience, and am so thankful for Lauren and the Willows of Wheaton's maintenance team who have both been amazing at their crafts. Can't go wrong with this place.

I lived in Deer Glen Apartments for 6 years (since 2012) and it's been a great experience. I'm sad…read moreto leave because the leasing office staff (Cynthia and Brenda) and the maintenance staff (especially Benny) are great. However, I need something larger for my growing family and just can't wait around to see when the unit I'm looking for becomes available. I love the neighborhood: it's safe, relatively quiet, and maintained well. The apartment complex is nestled in a neighborhood of duplexes and single family homes. There is a park down the street that was redone a few years ago. The apartment complex itself has a pool, its own playground, and basketball courts. Maintenance has been responsive to requests for repairs: usually same day or the next day. During periods of snowfall, they come in over the weekend to plow the parking lot and shovel/snowblow. The grounds are kept up year-round with landscaping and holiday decor. The property is maintained regularly, with tuck pointing the exteriors, resealing the parking lot, etc. Additionally, there is cleaning staff (husband/wife duo) who go to each building M-F and vacuum and clean the carpets and entryways! They're very nice, too. The staff have been so kind and amazing to me! Last year I ended up being hospitalized without warning (perterm labor). I was unprepared and ordered a bunch of baby necessities to be delivered, but was unable to retrieve them since the hospital wouldn't discharge me. The maintenance guys brought it ALL over to my apartment!!! Benny would regularly give me formula coupons for my baby. He's so thoughtful! You guys, I started tearing up when I turned in my Vacancy Notice. THAT'S how amazing the staff has been! The staff holds events: BBQs/pool parties and holiday activities for the kids. My son had his first Easter Bunny experience here! Brenda took photos of the kids and gave them to parents. I got a few great ones of my son! They did an egg hunt and were adamant about making sure everyone had a chance to find eggs with treats. Washers (3) and dryers (4) are in every other building. If you're not in the same building, it's a slight inconvenience to walk to the next building, especially during winter. It's cheap: $1.00 per wash or dry! They upgraded the machines a few years ago. The new ones have digital timers, which is great. The buildings are older, but there are units that are being remodeled. Mine was not, so I'm not sure if any of my "downsides" only apply to the older modeled units (meaning if the remodeling is functional, cosmetic, or both). The only big downside is electric heat and old windows. I was on a first floor end unit and, even after sealing my windows in plastic, paid $200-250/mo in the winter to heat my small 1 bedroom. There also is no thermostat: just baseboard heaters with a knob (low, medium, high) and in-wall AC units. Lessees can choose an annual lease-signing perk: i.e. $50 off of rent for 3 months during the winter (heating credit), carpet cleaning, or painting. I usually chose the heat credit for obvious reasons. Rent did not increase much annually: about $25. Like I said: I'm really going to miss Deer Glen, mostly because of the great staff, but also the location.

I had water leaking through my air conditioning unit in my livingroom. I called the office and got their answering service. I reported the incident and after 45 minutes of waiting for either the maintenance to come or call me back, I end up calling the answering service back to be told to put towels to catch the water because, it won't be handled until later that morning during business hours. And just the week before that after 3 weeks of dealing with a bee or, hornet issue. The maintenance said they did all they could do since they could not find the nest there was nothing more they could do. If I wanted out of my lease corporate would allow it. Not to mentioned their disgrace way of handling winter snow and ice. They do not shovel during blizzards until the snow has stopped falling and do not put salt down before snow storms. Not to mention they do not clear the lots or shovel on weekends due to no maintenance being on duty during this time. There supreme maintenance leader is rude, dismissive and extremely unprofessional. Their office queen manager and princess assistant feel they do not have to be professional and act as if the tenants of the complex are not the ones whom are the reason they have a job and a paycheck. I would highly discourage anyone from renting an apartment from this joke of a complex.
