When I went on a tour, the people who did the tour were nice. The property and apartments aren't nice and the other apartments in the area are much nicer for less money. This apartment changed the move-in special after I put in my application and said they couldn't offer me the special due to "fair housing laws" (I think she meant fair housing act) even though I had NOT signed a lease. Look for other apartments in the area... There are good options.

When I have tried to contact them to have them explain why they only gave me $50 of $300 back, they have not returned emails or phone calls. I have tried to contact R&R Realty with no luck either. They had always struggled with communication but I am especially disappointed in how they handled my deposit return. I would not have gone to any length to leave a clean apartment if I had known I was going to be screwed out of my deposit either way. Very disappointing!!!!

When I called in to the leasing office for this property, the lady who answered took the issue very seriously and promised to address it immediately, which I fully believe, and hence the 3 start rating for her. If the review were solely based on her conduct and respect towards me, she would've yielded a full 5 stars. Plow driver guy needs to be aware of his surroundings and property owners need to remember that he is a liability that could result in an incredibly expensive lawsuit, not to mention the potential for extreme injuries due to his idiocy.

The place is pet friendly. Really nice tenants, people smile and say hello, no worries about packages disappearing or the like. The ground level is all interior parking which is key in Iowa winters. The hallways can be noisy, but I never heard much noise from neighboring apartments, walls seemed thick enough. Excellent location, easy access to downtown, the highway and shopping easy walk to sculpture garden and a coffee shop. I was traveling for a number of months and management was kind enough to collect my mail and put it in my apartment. Definitely on the expensive side for Des Moines, but I felt I got what I paid for. Easily recommend it, especially if you are moving in from out of town looking for a good locale.

Scheduled a tour with Logan a week in advance and…read more30 minutes before the tour (which I traveled 45 minutes for) he calls and basically says he doesn't think it's worth his time because I wasn't planning on signing immediately. I made them aware of this a week prior. After telling Logan I would still like to tour he, apparently reluctantly, confirmed our appointment then cancels it 5 minutes before our scheduled time due to a "calendar conflict". We had this scheduled a week in advance. Just absolutely unprofessional.
