This course is a treasure. I'm a few times a year "bogey golf" player. My wife and I were staying in Seaside and took the easy twenty-five minute drive north to the course. The layout is sensitive to the terrain. There are azards on each hole that are daunting visually. There is plenty of space in landing areas to allow for shots that are not perfect which means the course is somewhat forgiving and allows a golfer at my level to have success and fun. The greens are large and undulating which brought a great deal of great challenge to the experience. The course is in wonderful shape and the hospitality is generous. I went here during Spring Break when all the resort golf courses were really busy. For around $55,'it was a surprisingly good course and not busy at all. About one third of the holes were really challenging off the tee with long carry distances to hit the fairway. It's not Camp Creek or Kelly Plantation, but it was peaceful and enjoyable. read more

We found this place via a Google search. We loved it. Nice wide fairways, seven sets of tees, well designed. Scented, iced, towels at the turn were a lovely touch. The only thing lacking was a big clubhouse, but who cares, I'm not golfing in the clubhouse. Beers were cheap too! We already decided to play there again when we go back next year. read more

Excellent course with a wide range of tee locations to fit the need of any golfer! I travel to the panhandle once a year and visit this course on nearly every occasion. Pace is good, the staff is friendly and course maintenance is superb. It is in very good condition. Prices are reasonable with special discounts for seniors, military and locals. Even though this course is not directly on the Gulf it is in beautifully serene surroundings. Try it. read more

Big fan of this course. It's really long, but has nice wide fairways and large playable greens. You absolutely cannot beat this place for the price. You'll pay at least double in Destin for half the quality. The only downside is the amenities. There's no permanent clubhouse. So, you'll be checking in and getting drinks in a trailer. Checking in to play 18 holes in a trailer, quite possibly the most Freeport thing ever. read more

We played here on 7/20/16. Wow... What a hidden gem off of the beach. I was skeptical when I booked the tee time but the recent reviews were dead on. This is an amazing course that can challenge all players with the seven tee boxes. Chuck and Hondo have done a phenomenal job with this place and the course can't be judged by the small but adequate clubhouse or the average driving range. This place would easily be $150+ course if it were not off the beaten path and near the beach. It has a couple blind shots but the fairways and greens are huge and can help with the lower handicapped players. You're near the beach so of course there is sand but the bunkers are well placed. There's even a power line going through one fairway that I thought was cool and interesting but didn't notice it until I was hitting my second shot. This place is definitely worth the drive and the price and I'll definitely be back. Great job Chuck and Hondo... Two thumbs up from all four of us. read more

Best kept secret of the redneck riviera!!!! Played here 2 years ago for the 1st time and the place was in top shape!!! Played here again today and the course is better than I remember.....from tee box to green, the course is immaculate!!!! Will be playing here at least 4 more times this vacation. Course is set up for all levels of players, with 6 different sets of tees to choose from with the tips stretching almost 7700 yards!! read more

I have played golf for the last 50 years as a single digit handicapper. This is absolutely one of my all-time favorite courses. The layout is ingenious, with incredibly wide fairways and monstrous greens. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. The many tee choices make it fun for both the duffer and also a tour talented player. I can't recommend this course more highly. A GEM!! read more

Fantastic course within easy driving distance from Destin/30A.. Gets better every time I play there. Friendly golf professionals; good range and putting green for warming up. Super condition of fairways and rough--greens were great and teach you about grain real quick. Thoroughly enjoyed my round and will return real soon..... read more

surprise this place has 3 stars. went there via golfnow and wasn't disappointed. it was scenic and challenging at the same time. there was numerous hills even in the green that made it harder than other courses. the greens were well maintained. would go back. read more

Great course for the money. Played during spring break in April. Challenging tee shots and multi tiered greens make this course a must play when in the area. Leas than 30 minutes from Santa Rosa. Give it a shot you wont be disappointed. read more

A buddy told me about this place and said it was a great place to play. He was correct. This place is a bargain everything is well maintained, staff could be more friendly, its like your own private golf course playing on the weekday, the layout is great because the holes are so spread out, and the fairways are wide so bring out the drivers. read more

Don't let the lack of a fancy clubhouse fool you! . Best value in this area. Very nice layout, 5 sets of tees, from 5000+ yards to 7300+. Generous fairways and large, well contoured greens. greens. The entire course is in excellent condition. Very reasonable greens fees and rarely is there a crowd. We played between noon and one 4 out of 7 days and rarely saw another group. Very nice practice facilities also. read more
