For far less money than what other chain art-creation-team-building-events asked, Art Post created a custom activity for our group and created a laid-back atmosphere that encouraged creativity but also socializing. I also observed a class with younger children and the teacher was patient and also encouraging of creativity with the kids. Overall, I was very impressed with their community outreach and artistic philosophy. It was very fun to try and we spent about 3 hours working on our crafts. We used the stencils, wood burning tool, paint, and colored pencils for our creations. I made a small box and my friend made a larger one. It was great being able to choose everything from the project itself to the wood stain to the paint color(s). My box is now displayed proudly in my home, and there's lots of other projects I'd love to make whenever I get a chance to go back! I feel like these folks really have this down to a science. We walked in and our boards were waiting for us. We sanded them and stained them. Then Michelle helped us putting our pre-made stencils onto the wood, and we primed and painted. Very simple, yet so brilliant because I don't have to deal with paint and sawdust in my home. :)

We had to wait almost 20 mins before we could get started, and I didn't think that was a good decision for those of us who showed up on time. They included champagne in the tiniest cup. Luckily, we don't drink, so it didn't matter so much. They also gave us a tiny box of V-Day candy. It was a sweet gesture. All in all, we really enjoyed ourselves. They should put something in place that if people are late, they will need to reschedule, get a credit for future use, or forfeit their money. We shouldn't have to wait over 20 mins to get started. I recommend them. Just be sure to bring your own drinks and snacks/food.
