Jim was attentive to details. Answered all our questions in a timely manner. Made himself available, was receptive to questions, and was very reassuring throughout the entire process. Jim also was great about last minute decisions and changes to our plan. The music was not a conern I worried about during the planning process or even the day of. Jim looked professional and acted professional the entire time. He is very receptive to email and phone. His online tools and bill payment is great too. His prices were extermely reasonable too.

Jim at Pulse Entertainment was a big part of this coordination. His web site has great features that let us educate Jim about our goals and allowed him to keep our wedding on track. Wedding Time Line This area of his site allowed us to coordinate the wedding and define when certain events happened. (Meal Service, Formal Dances, Announcements, etc) This was very valuable when coordinating with the caterer. It also allowed for quick adjustments to the time line as unexpected things came up. Wedding Traditional 20 This area of his site allowed us to address a lot of the typical wedding things. What songs should he play for formal dances? What did we want him to specifically say during announcements and introductions? Did we want a bouquet or garter toss? It helped him to understand what we wanted and more importantly what we did not. Music Request. This section allows you categorize songs based on preference. You can select Must Play, Would Like Played, and Do Not Play. Jim was very good at playing most of the songs we requested, but there were a couple songs we did not hear that we wish we had. Next to each song you can make a note to Jim and I wish we had identified a few songs as special in the Notes area. In all fairness, we did tell Jim to use his best judgment. We wanted to give him the freedom to do his job and react to the vibe coming from the crowd. The guests loved the music and we got a lot of compliments on the DJ. I am sure all DJ's have fancy websites now, but Jim was very thought when talking about our wedding and met with us twice to discuss the details. If you are interviewing DJ's you know that there are some big egos out there. On multiple occasions Jim said "I want this to be what you want. This is your day and I just want to help make it as nice as possible." He had zero ego, was extremely helpful, and was a great help in keeping the wedding on track and providing us with great music. Lastly, Jim was a good value. More often than not you find 2 types of DJ's. 1.) the big head/ego guy that charges thousands of dollars and insists you call him DJ Ed or DJ Bob and 2.) the kid on craigslist that will DJ your wedding for $200 using his iPod. Jim is neither of these. Good price, reliable, and very professional. I would highly recommend Jim and Pulse Entertainment to anyone looking a good wedding DJ. LT

The site itself is quite nice and very large. Apparently renovations were done recently so it has an updated feel to it. When you walk in you sign up to race at the counter area, and you also take your picture and pick a racing name. The majority of our group was guys, with the exception of three ladies. Us ladies didn't race and instead ended up getting drinks from the bar, playing a few of the arcade games, and cheering on our guy friends who raced. The bar area has a pretty good selection of drinks and food, and for it being an "amusement" type center, I'd say the quality was pretty decent! There were a solid amount of things you could do besides the racing. They had axe throwing, a rock climbing wall, arcade games, and an interactive game arena. The racing did look fun and our friends had a good time doing it. Those karts go up to around 40mph so they're no joke. I do feel like they do a good job with their safety measures. They give you solid racing helmets, and if you spin out they'll make sure to help safely get you straightened back out. They'll also enforce some set track rules to make sure you're racing safely. My two friends and I watched our other friends race from a large viewing platform near the top of the track. The only negative thing I'd say about our experience is that it's loud (I'm sensitive to high pitched squealing sounds, so I shoved some bits of napkin in my ears and that helped lol), heavily smells of gas (they do have ventilation in place but it's still very noticeable), and it's also pretty hot in there. The area with the arcade, bar, and other entertainment is separate from the racing track, which is good because you can get some relief in between races in there. Overall, it was a fun experience! We all had a good time and would go back again. This time I'd bring ear plugs lol.

Yes, there are other inflatable companies out there and perhaps even a few dollars cheaper. However, Ragland is more than just a rental company. As this is a big fundraiser for our school, they gave me advice on different attractions and also how to make the entire event a success. This year, we had potential weather issues to side step which meant having 2 different sets of rentals. It was more work for them to prepare for either scenario and Russell again gave me advice on what would work. I have used inflatable rental companies before for neighborhood and birthday party rentals and there is a time and place for those companies as well. However, Ragland is NOT one of those companies that sends out people to set up and then leaves. They stay onsite to ensure all equipment is running correctly and to be there in the event something happens. They provided piece of mind which for an event of this magnitude with so many children and safety at stake, is priceless. You can't go wrong with this company!
