First of all it's a perfect location if you're in the south hills, it's in the same Parking lot as lowes and Olive Garden. The selection of wine is by far the best in the area. Not only do they carry all the popular brands, but entire rows or Italian reds and whites, rows or French reds and whites from all of the different wine regions of France. The prices range from 7 or 8 bucks to $200 for the rare and expensive champagnes. The staff is also far and above the average stores staff, they seemed like they may be trained in wines and spirits. The chairmans selection when you first enter the store is a great place to shop for the wine novice, they select a few dozen wines fro all over the world and display them with detailed notes on flavor, pairings and finishes. It's also a great place for last minute pick ups for dinner or special occasions.

The only nice one I've been to is the one in East Liberty, and that's a newer one in a "hip" neighborhood, so I see why. Most look like they've been around for a million years and are in dire need of a facelift. I am no wine or spirits expert and usually grab whatever is on sale or has a pretty label. Bonus points for both! I was excited to see more selection of mini bottles of wine and specifically champagne and prosecco. Get out of retail dude, go work in a warehouse where you don't have to deal with the public. And if you were the owner, do better. I get it, it's 'just' a beer distributor, but it's retail, and details matter. If you have a hostile a-hole at the register, that doesn't help your bottom line. This store is supposed to have a larger, premium collection compared to other stores. My husband and I shopped here in the hopes that we would find a particular Portuguese liquor. As we walked around looking at the shelves, no employees spoke with us. The store's website, though, said that this liquor was special-order, so we will have to order it online for pickup in about one month. My husband picked out a Japanese wine that he had enjoyed last year in Japan. Its price was reasonable. At the checkout counter, the employee accurately rang up our purchase and nicely thanked us.
