PA has brutal laws when it comes to beer, wine and spirits purchasing. And part of me hates how hard it is to buy a good six pack in this state. But the Brew Zoo takes some of the sting out of it, by carrying an amazing selection of high quality cases from regional craft brewers. There are even a good number of variety packs so I don't have to commit to 24 bottles or cans of an untried brew. Thanks to them, this month I got to drink variety packs from the Great Lakes Brewing Co and Stoudts. Plus I also picked up a case of Sly Fox Route 113 IPA. Yes, it's a lot of beer for a month. But it's summer. And I had help.

As I now live in FL I continue to be shocked that PA still has state run liquor stores or extremely limited private stores. When is PA going to move into the 21st century and have all private (free market) liquor stores ? Somebody must be making a LOT of $$ off this set-up. Otherwise, it makes zero sense. Crazy. Just one reason that I'm glad I left this state many years ago.
