This is hands down one of the coolest liquor stores to stop by. I think what makes it even better is knowing it used to be a Toys "R" Us and they've kept subtle nods to it throughout the store. Whenever we need to stock up, this is our go-to because of the huge selection. Whether you're looking for liquor, wine, or something new to try, they truly have so many options. We love just wandering the aisles and seeing what unique bottles or seasonal finds they have in stock. The employees are always friendly and helpful anytime we have questions or need recommendations. Right when you walk in, there's also a small bar area (which we still need to try!). Such a cool touch that makes it feel more like an experience than just a quick shopping trip. Great place to come find pretty much anything you need and want. Huge selection of bourbon, whiskey, and scotch. Great wine selection, a particularly great sparkling wine area. They have a bar right inside the store and you can either hang out and watch the TVs or talk, or peruse the store with your drink. We can usually find hard to find bourbons here and they always have my favorite Thanksgiving wine, Beaujolais nouveau. Lots of seasonal picks too! It had been a while since I wandered into this part of town, but on Saturday afternoon we decided to check out Beer, Wine and Spirits. Lucky for us, it was sample day, basically my version of hitting the jackpot. We happily made our way through vodka, tequila, a local vodka water, and even some THC beverages. The staff made it even better; they were all smiles, super friendly, and clearly knew their stuff. They gave us great recommendations, swapped tasting notes with us, and made the whole experience feel like chatting with friends who happen to work in a wonderland of booze. By the time we were done sampling, we had somehow collected over $100 worth of bottles and snacks. No regrets here, it is all part of the adventure. Speaking of snacks, the Wahoo Meat Locker is a treasure. They stock natural casing wieners that are always a hit, plus an impressive variety of meats, salsas, dips, and other goodies. Every aisle feels like a new discovery. Once upon a time, this place was a Toys R Us. Now it is a Booze R Us, and honestly, I loved it then and I love it even more now. read more

Pretty nice to come here, grab a drink, and walk around. Sometimes there are food trucks outside so it's great to stop by on a Saturday or Sunday to get some food, a drink, and watch whatever game is on TV. There's also frequently samples, but make sure you bring your ID or you won't get anything! We can frequently find whatever we're looking for and it's very rarely ever priced above MSPR. They'll do bundle sales on more allocated bourbons, which was actually pretty nice because you get a discount on the second bottle and it's typically something you might not buy but is still pretty good. If there is something specific you're looking for, there's a whiteboard (currently full) where you can write your name, what you're searching for, and number down so if they get it they can let you know! If you're not out in West O, they do have another location downtown in the Old Market so I suggest checking both out! read more

I mean, it's the best of the best. You couldn't ask for a better wine, beer, and spirit store. The bar is cheap and the selection is huge. Donny is the best bartender: he's personable and kind. All the employees are super helpful and are always there to answer questions. They have every drink you could think of, and will help you get what you can't find. Some friends and I popped in here before a party to stock up on a a few things, and have been back a few time since! This used to be a Toys R Us, so we affectionately now refer to this establishment as Beers R Us. It is literally a giant warehouse with every beer, wine, spirit, and mixer you could imagine! I was in hog heaven looking at all the interesting brews I had never tried (pickle beer? Yes, please!) I think it actually may have possibly BEEN a version of a warehouse, because my husband's dust allergy was going WILD while we were here. That was the only drawback, but I will just make him wait outside next time LOL They also have a board where people can write down things they are requesting to see on the shelves, which I think is a super nice touch to try to get everyone the items they are seeking. There are wines, beers, and spirits for every budget and every taste, so definitely stop in if you are looking to stock up for a party, just grabbing something for yourself, or just to explore all they have to offer! read more

Wow! Where have I been?! An amazing package store, bar, and outdoor seating area all rolled into one. Best part, a little off the beaten path in a quieter and portion of downtown with an absolutely mind blowing variety of products that include wine, spirits, and nonalcoholic selections. The in-store bar offers customized flights of scotch, Rye, tequila, etc. On tap beers feature many local options. The folks at the establishment were super helpful and I can't wait to come back again. Metered Street parking and parking garages in the immediate area make access easy for a downtown/ Old Market location. read more

I love this place. First, so glad they took over the old Toys R Us. They even kept some of the old signage which was kind of comical. I stopped in randomly on a Friday and didn't realize it was sample night, I wish I would have had more time!! Huge selection of just about anything you need and great prices. I did struggle a bit to understand how they had everything organized but I was in a rush so hopefully with more time I'll get it! My friend and I'd first time visiting this place was a couple weeks ago and it blew our minds. They have an amazing selection of anything alcohol.......hard liqour, craft beer, canned mixed drinks, wine, honestly so much stuff. It's kind of funny that it's in an old Toys R Us because it is literally like a Toys R Us for alcohol. Their bar is really awesome too. They have a lot of different bottles of higher-end whiskey that you can pay $5-$50 for a small pour; stuff that you wouldn't be able to try anywhere else. Wow! If you like distilled spirits, Wine, Beer and Spirits has a huge selection. Hundreds of brands. Reasonable prices. I'm not the first to notice this is like Toys R Us for grownups (it's in an old Toys R Us store). This store would do George Thorogood proud. We were visiting Omaha from Texas and came here to WBS and I was very impressed. When we first went inside we went to the bar and I had an ounce of Stagg and it was reasonably priced and the bar tender was very friendly. As we walked through this huge store I found an entire room for all of their bourbon's and whiskeys. The selection was fantastic and they had several barrel picks and everything seemed to be fairly priced. I picked up a barrel pick Wilderness Trail Rye for myself and a barrel pick Elijah Craig single barrel for a gift for a friend. Overall I was impressed by this store and highly recommend it to anyone looking for spirits and particularly whiskey. I even ran in to a couple of other customers who were very knowledgeable about bourbon and we stood and talked as we sipped and shopped for awhile. read more

Absolutely loved walking in there!! They have such a wide variety of drinks!! Husband and I spent almost an hour in there just walking around and looking at everything. The store's opening splits off between bar and shopping, and yes, you can come back for more from the bar. It's also sample city. Several vendors provide tastes of their goods. Toys R Us to now Wine, Beer, and Spirits... it seems that this place grew up with many of us Omaha natives. I love how they took this old Toys R Us store to make it an alcohol drinking adult's dream. From wines to spirits to ciders to beers to any kind of alcohol you can imagine they have a HUGE selection as well as great sales! I love coming here to browse at all of the different flavors of different liquors as well as find great sales on some of my favorite spirits. On their website it says that they have more than 5,000 items and counting!?!?!?! If you are looking for a niche/harder to find alcohol brand, if it is anywhere in Omaha it is probably here. I love how they have their sign being a giraffe (like Toys R Us had...) but with sunglasses and a wine glass. I really love this local store. I usually buy four to five bottles of spirits and wine when I visit but continually am told that Buffalo Trace products are not available. I'm glad I took the time to check out this warehouse-style wine, beer and spirits place. It's even larger than I expected, and it might not be the fanciest place out there, but it is well-organized. Have a very wide selection of products, and everything as well labeled, so you don't have to spend a ton of time trying to find what you're looking for. They have more options for a single varietal than any other place I've been to in Omaha. For example, your typical wine store would have about 8 to 10 zinfandels; this place has easily 25. They also have a knowledgeable staff. There's a certain wine that my father was looking for that I wanted to find, but one of the staff members helped me find a pretty good alternative. And he ended up loving the wine. They also have a really nice selection of single shot bottles. Around holiday time, it's really difficult to find the single shot of Baileys. But they had tons even a few days before Christmas! Score! I will definitely be back. They even have a small area for tasting wines and a small food menu, so it might be worth coming back for a happy hour. read more

While I am not a huge drinker, I do occasionally have a drink every so often (one or two every few weeks) . Out shopping with my brother this weekend and he wanted to stop by here to look around. This was my first time here and I was surprised how huge and how much alcohol was in this place. We did end up sitting at the bar and sampling a glass of beer to take a load off our feet as we been walking around and it was a good time. How clever is it that my childhood Toys R Us has become Omaha's largest liquor store? The irony should not be lost in anyone. Located off 144th across from oak view mall, it makes getting here a little tricky if you're coming from the mall. I may have had to go around twice...but user error. So upon walking in on a midday weekday, it was pretty slow but not empty. There is a bar right when you walk in, and they offer daily specials. The wine beer and liquor assortment is truly astounding. I can't accurately explain just how many brands and sizes there are but it fills a warehouse. The aisles are laid out very clearly and organized very well. I would definitely recommend coming with an idea of what you want so not to get overwhelmed. I came just to browse, and no cart or basket, made me a fool because I was quickly walking around with 4 wine bottles. I found some "lite" wine which I'm excited to try My only gripe is there are some common brands that I've seen elsewhere cheaper. However, they do have Lower prices on some items so it's hit or miss. Their local beer selection is huge, I don't think I missed a brewery from omaha a d Lincoln. They even have a cold beer cave so you can pick up and drink. This liquor store is next to Golf Galaxy in close proximity to the Oakview Mall. From the outside, many would remember this store being the Toys R Us building before they went away. The store still uses the Toys R Us shopping carts which is pretty funny. What I liked was the open bar as you walk in, allowing you to have a drink as you shop for wines, spirits, or beer. They have a decent beer selection but some Omaha liquor stores would match their selection and volume. I found a Chocolate Stout that I've never seen before and picked this based on an employee who said I wouldn't be disappointed. Checkout was relatively easy and the cashier was very pleasant. My wife and I finally visited this place and I must say that it's absolutely incredible. An astounding selection of beer, wine, and liquor, which is sorted by type for easy shopping. We were just browsing so we walked all over the store and I was surprised to see several spirits that I haven't been able to find at other spots available here. Not only that, there's a cafe near the entrance, and I think they may do sampling but I missed that when I was there. One thing I did notice was that the prices were extremely reasonable, many of them beating the local superstore. I honestly did not expect this. They also had several that had rebates available. We ended up spending $70, but it would be extremely easy to spend hundreds of dollars here. I will definitely be returning here in the near future. read more
