Eric Linder admitted to not preparing the floor to ensure it was flat before laying the tile and admitted his company didn't even own a 10ft straight edge to make sure the tile and floor was flat. They didn't even know how to use the tile spacers correctly. They also went an extra step to prove how inept they were and put a polish on our matte porcelain tile that was not meant for use on porcelain tile. This lead to permanent unsightly streaking, hazing and clouding throughout the entire surface of the floor. All of their incompetence and lack of skill also lead to: -Crooked grout lines -Unevenly laid tile throughout (so uneven in some areas that it caused tripping hazards) -Over-grouting (grout covering corners and edges of uneven tile) -Under-grouting (leaving deep channels between tile) -Inconsistent grout coloring (ranging from every shade of gray to white) They attempted to fix and replace several problem areas of the floor but failed horribly. We hired an expert tile consultant to inspect their tile job. The expert found so many mistakes, that were so numerous, throughout the entire floor that he deemed the tile job unsalvageable, and it would therefore need to be completely demolished and replaced. We shared the findings with Eric Linder and asked for our money back. He said he would contact us within 24 hours. We did not hear from him. Desert Prestige still has not refunded our money. Dealing with Desert Prestige has been a nightmare. We have lost a large sum of our hard-earned money, and have had to pay again to completely replace their disastrous tile job! Please be aware that there is not adequate protection for consumers! Please do your research! Read reviews! This is the first negative review I have ever written. I hope this saves others from making the huge mistake of hiring Desert Prestige Builders, Eric Linder or Ryan Brunelle. In fact, they prove their true character when Ryan Brunelle, a business partner of Desert Prestige Builders, has posted a 5 star review on Google under his own business Desert Prestige Builders!!!!

After a drunk driver ended our contractor's career at the start of our project, DKB stored our delivered cabinets for free until we hired a new contractor. When the cabinets were mis-measured too tall and covered our AC vents, DKB ordered another properly sized set immediately at no charge. Despite these setbacks and more, Randy Smith (store manager) kept constant communication and always followed through. Kevin, a 9-year technician, wrapped-up the project with the highest skill level, craftsmanship, and eye for detail. While the project took longer than expected, it was done right and perfectly. Keep in mind that these are custom field installations with each order being manufactured to spec. The level of coordination with the manufacturer, sales, design, installation, and detailing requires highly seasoned experts in your corner like Randy and Kevin. We are completely happy with our American made cabinets and project partners at DKB.
