We hired this company for a 2nd story addition and my opinion is they were negligent in their…read morebuilding practices and then became very unprofessional. 2/3rds into tearing our roof off they dishonestly price gouged and charged us an additional $21,000 for something. It's so egregious that we will report it! After the roof was removed they caused the loss of our entire home below the addition by not properly protecting it. After the massive $100,000+ loss they got the new 2nd story up and dried in but continued to ignore our request to repair water leaks getting into the home. We contacted them on at least 6 occasions about the leaks and it was not repaired and is still not repaired. After almost 2 months we still have ongoing leaks. Unfortunately I had to contact the city and have them intervene and force the builder to fix things that they would not even reply to. They also built things in the wrong spot and ignored our selections. They installed the wrong window and tried to leave it that way and then when they finally fixed it they installed the wrong size in the wrong spot. It didn't even match the agreed elevation plan. When it was brought to their attention yet again that they made a mistake we were told they would only correct it if we paid them $2400! Unfortunately I had to go buy the correct window at my expense. I had remove and install it correctly myself. Then they stole my old window and all my left over material I paid for on my house project. They are still currently working on our home but will not be doing any further work for the next phase. If you are considering hiring this company contact me and I'll be happy to share with you in detail what's happened and our experience. My experience is they will sell you on their work and contract and then after they start they will tell you they came across a problem and they will need to write up a change order. They will take liberties by choosing selections you didn't approve. In our case they installed windows and a front door without even asking or disclosing they were doing it. How can you just pick a persons front door without even asking? I had to go buy another door and install it myself at my expense ! They also damaged over $1000 of our personal property that was no where near the work area and refuse to replace it. Buyer beware because for us these change orders are excessive in price compared to the industry standard and they don't seem to care if they damage your personal property! Our feeling and experience is also that they will try very hard to not reply to text or emails and will instead want only verbal communication. Verbal communication is great but even with that they make error after error. My opinion is they only want verbal because if it's in writing they can't get out of it but if it's only verbal there is no record of their conversations with us. After what I saw as an incompetent act by not protecting our home I began to document everything with them and I was asking for official written replies to emails and text. They then called me and asked why I was insisting on having everything in writing and wanting email replies. I told them so it's documented incase they try to do us wrong. After that we would get very little in written responses and have been largely ignored. . I come from a family of builders and have a decent amount of knowledge on how things are supposed to be built. If I didn't have that knowledge my option is we would have an addition that was not well built and would cause us a lot of issues in the future including structural. If you do not have building knowledge my opinion is to stay far away from this company. Even if you do I would not recommend them. Also if you meet them you might get the impression that TJ does actual construction work on the jobs. For our project our experience is the son TJ only does the business end of the company's business. The father Tim is the builder and his son just puts in change orders and draw request. We have not seen TJ one time since the day we signed the contract. It's my understanding that Tim Sr is not a licensed builder!

Communication was on point!…read more I was super happy I didn't need to purchase any new materials - since my backing was pushing in he was able to reuse the existing tile without cracking either. My biggest fear was if mold was behind the tile - he was confident it wasn't. But of course I asked if it was and he did give me a price like I asked so I would be prepared. The work took 2 days due to drying time and he was able to work with my weird schedule as well. Definitely will use company in the future. Here are some pictures of his work. The negative review below called him snarky and I didn't understand it at first but now I do. He'll never own up to anything. It's never his fault no matter how poor of a job he does. Charged me $75/hr for flooring only to show up and see his painter doing the flooring. Unbelievably squeaky floors. I can hear them from downstairs. When I told him the floors are squeaky, he told me the house was old. I wish I could upload a video that shows the noise.

A2 Painters were great! Our home was due for a repaint (and we wanted to change up the colors), so…read morewe had a few different painting contractors come out for a quote. Aaron at A2 walked around the house and told us about their thorough process, and followed up with a very reasonable and very competitive quote. It took a little while to actually get the process going, but solely due to (very) hot weather and rain. We were 100% OK with this, because we wouldn't want to be painting outside in 90+ degree weather either! Soon enough though his crew showed up and got to work. They worked quickly and efficiently, and in just ~4 business days they were all done. For reference, we had A2 paint: entire house body (ranch, ~1100 sqft), foundation, all trim and all gutters from black to white, and entire garage (almost 4 car) and trim. The painters were also very knowledgeable in regards to what will look good and what won't. We were surprised that there were a few details we just never thought of (for example, the trim on our newer windows poked out from the house, and the painters strongly recommended that we paint the sides of the trim to match the house), and the painters had the experience to say "we think you should paint this piece body color, and this other piece trim color" - and it worked perfectly! When the painters were finished on the last day, they walked us around and did a thorough review of the house, which was really nice. We did find one or two very minor issues, which they promptly apologized for and fixed. Then they cleaned up and left the place as clean as it was when they arrived. Overall we are very happy with our new house colors, and the entire process with A2 Painters! Next time we need painting, we will be sure to go back to Aaron and A2.
