3.5 STARS I've been to a few Wingstop location before so I was excited when I found out this new location in Portsmouth. This location is located in the same are as Kroger and TJ Maxx. I came in about 20 minutes after they opened on a Sunday morning. The first thing I've noticed was the chairs were still flipped on top of the tables. I think they were short-handed because only 2 employees were working. I ordered the small bone in wings with garlic parmesan sauce and Korean bbq sauce. For the fries, I ordered the cajun fries. They told me it will take about 20 minutes. My food came in 40 minutes later, which I don't mind since they were short-handed. When I got home, I was looking at the wings and noticed that my spicy Korean wings were paler than I imagined. When I tasted it, it was lemon pepper sauce and not the Korean sauce. I was disappointed but I didn't feel like complaining since I like lemon pepper sauce as well and I really don't feel like driving back. The garlic pepper wings tasted good as well. For the most part, my wings were delicious. The service was okay. I just wish I can get to try the spicy Korean wings though. read more

When I tell y'all I'm MAD! I placed an order through the Wingstop app for delivery and received a text saying a DoorDash driver was delivering it. When I opened my food I saw that some of my wings were missing. I looked at my security camera and saw the girl sticking her hand in my bag and taking my food. I contacted DoorDash who said there was nothing they could do so I attempted to contact this Wingstop multiple times with no answer! I will never be ordering from here again! read more

This was my first wingstop experience which was very anticipated. The food itself was very good, there was a large helping of friends so i was very satisfied with the portions. I personally got the Korean BBQ and garlic parmesan wings which both are recommended. I ordered online and when i got to the restaurant the staff did not seem very happy when i asked for my order. To add to that, I got a drink with my meal and not only was there no ice, but none of the drinks were carbonated so i then had to drive somewhere else to by a drink. Overall I recommend eating here but I probably won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

A good amount of money was spent for the food to have left no satisfaction due to it being over cooked, wrongly flavored for one of the three flavors, and not flavored for the other two. The food was good as well as it hard to find good customer service at fast food restaurant these days. First time at this location have been eating Wingstop for about 20 years. I was nervous about ordering from this one as the very limited reviews were negative. I ordered my meal online and was given a time my meal would be ready. When I showed up at the time given, my meal was ready and waiting for me. I was greeted immediately on entering and the gentleman verified my order in the bag against the receipt to make sure everything was there. Very friendly, and in and out without having to wait. Pretty jet lagged and decided to order some wings for pickup at the new Wingstop location in Portsmouth . I have waited awhile for this area to get a Wingstop so I was pretty excited when one of my close friends told me one was finally open near the Kroger on Frederick. I ordered the 10 piece bone in wings and fries and after paying before pickup , they said it would be ready between 15-30 minutes. I came about 25 minutes and my food was sitting in the counter ready. I wish they had some sort of hot box or a way to text and let you know the food is ready because I would of came earlier if I knew it would have been sitting out . Mh wings were still warm but my fries were getting soggy and were luke warm. I loved the seasoning on the fries but I didn't like the different size fries , some were thin and crispy and some were thick steak like fries and were barely cooked. I would recommend the wings but not the fries and I think this location should do a bit better to compete with the rest. read more

When you go during lunch time you food is prepared fresh it seems. The fries have the appropriate seasoning and the wings and tenders are crispy. You have a decent amount of sauce on chicken. When you go at night, it's another story. Had told my spouse about how my lunch was so delicious and advised him to try for dinner. Totally different food.....like night and day. Ok the manager has hair down to her butt with only a hat on. Her nails are long as hell. I was told my order would be ready in 20 mins. It was actually 15 mins. The drink machine was broke, but there was a small selection of bottled sodas in the cooler up front. The manager offered me a soda while I waited for my food. I'm so disgusted; from the customer service to the flavor of their food, no flavor. This is the second time in one week that I tried to get wings, my daughter got some tonight and just the same as yesterday, no flavor, no flavor. Not only did they mess up my daughters order; when her husband went to pick it up, they were extreamly rude. They questioned him about the order as if he was lying. The kicker was when he got home, the order was not even correct. After calling and trying to correct the issue the young lady on the phone gave him the run around. Worst Wingstop I've been to yet. The fries arrived soggy and cold and the wings were over sauced to make up for the bad quality.

Yesterday was my very first time ordering from here. I placed my order at 3:45pm, and paid $33 total. When I got there at 4:00, my order wasn't ready; I was told that it would be done in about 20 mins, but of course that was a lie. I sent my brother in to pick up the order but the cashier walked off and went into the nail shop next door. He waited a few mins along with other customers, then another cashier came up from the back of the store. The service is very slow there; our order still wasn't ready and they only had one cashier at the front with 10 people in line, either waiting to order or waiting to pick up thier order. So we finally get ours at about 4:20pm and I had to let the cashier know that I had 2 drinks with my order; she was friendly enough to hand me to cups but she never even asked what my order was. We get our order and drinks, and we head home to see what the food is about. I get home to see that part of my order wasn't even in the bag! Now I will say that it is my fault for not checking before I left, but it's their job to make sure the customers get their ENTIRE orders before they leave! I've been calling them since yesterday at 5:00pm, and nobody answers the phone! I've called 2 different numbers for them and nothing. Stopped by friday night a 6:30pm. One person cooking, one person walking back and forth from the counter loading bags and food into togo boxes. Neither of them were wearing gloves or any kind of hair net. Guy rang up our order as to go without asking didn't give a time for it to be ready. Once I signed the receipt he walked away. Had to grab our drink cups myself. Took about 35min to get the food. Watched them make it in 5 min. The sauce that was added to my wings was in a large jug and got scooped out with a plastic ranch container instead of a metal scoop. Once again without gloves on. Never saw either wash their hands. Most of the other people getting their food also had long wait times and by the time people got it their fries were cold because they made a large batch of fries tossed them into a mixing container and pulled the fries from it. Also anything that was covered in sauce was done so in the same flavor mixing container then it was set back in the shelve. Both employees appeared to be very young with no oversight. Place was a mess with trash on the floor and tables. Maybe that's how all wing stops are run but I doubt it. The place could of used more than two people working and I'm pretty sure some health code violations occurred. Will not eat here again nor will other customers we talked to.
