First time here! I stopped by Wink a few weeks ago but they were too busy to accommodate me so I ended up elsewhere. I took a card that was given to me to call back and schedule an appointment for a later date. While cleaning my house I realized I had broken a nail and suddenly what was a lazy Saturday afternoon turned into a crisis situation!! I grabbed the card from where I had it stashed in my wallet and frantically dialed the numbers. "Hello?" Said the Heavenly Angel on the other end of the line. Long story short, my prayers were answered and I was sitting in Gisella's chair in under 10 minutes. The place is BEAUTIFUL. Super chic and clean. One thing I have noticed is that they are usually short on help so if you plan on walking through the pearly gates you better make an appointment! Honestly, this is my kind of salon - I love chatting with laid back people and feeling comfortable. I was there for about 5 hours, so if you like good company...this is the place to be! I came in for a a full set. The lady who helped me burned my nails because she filled them over and over. Aside from taking about two hours to complete my nails, she ended up doing them unevenly. When I complained, she's like your fingers are the problem I cannot tell from the back. I asked her to fix it. And she said she can but won't repaint. Like a dummy I left a tip, but never again!!! Don't recommend anyone to go there ever! Also, when I was there someone came in to cut their hair in layers. Apparently, the client was so dissatisfied with the cut they ended up leaving before the stylist was barely finished with the hair. read more

I needed a fresh haircut before going out on a Saturday night and remembered asking my friend where he got his awesome haircut. He told me Joanne at Wink Beauty Bar. I made an appointment with Joanne and arrived early just in case I could get started sooner than my appointment time. Joanne was very busy so I couldn't start early but I did get started on time - she worked me in as she was coloring a young woman's hair. While I was waiting, I noticed that this was also a nail salon. After Joanne gave me the trim I needed, I decided to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure. Judge all you want, but a pedicure is one of the best things to get for a runner. The nail tech gave me an excellent spa treatment, and it was very reasonably priced. I was having a really bad weekend and decided to take a random trip to Tampa to visit one of my closest friends. After two days of catching up and two nights of mild debauchery with her and her friends, I had decided that I was still not completely free of my stress and aggravation. So to relieve some stress, I decided to visit this beauty salon that was really close to where I was staying. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how clean everything is. You could tell right off the bat that these people were definitely on top of their sanitation game. This alone is something I value A LOT when going to a salon. As soon as I stepped in, I was greeted by very friendly staff who weren't pushy and were very patient with me (I'm a very picky customer). I ended up getting a red OPI manicure, which came out flawless. The technician really took her time to paint my nails from top to bottom while not getting anything on my cuticles. I loved it! The worst is when you get a mani and she paints your skin instead of your nails... thank god it didn't happen here. As I was drying my nails, I caught the hair stylist walking in. She was so cute! She had awesome platinum blonde hair and a really cool sense of style. Right when I saw her, I knew she had to do my hair. As I sat down, she asked me what I wanted to do with my hair. I told her that I was very upset and wanted to chop it all off. Luckily, she persuaded me not to and told me to try out a different color instead. I told her my hair was in her hands and just as I suspected, her hands worked magic on my hair! She gave me a beautiful low-maintenance blonde ombre and a layered haircut. I AM IN LOVE! Since then, I have had so many people ask me where I get my hair done. I know Tampa is a bit far to fly to for hair when you live in New York, but she let me in on a secret that she flies to Philadelphia once a month for her clients. That bit of info really put the icing on my cake. Now I can really hold on to one of the best hairdressers I have met in all of my 28 years! This Cuban nail tech named Teeny does an amazing job with pedicures. Awesome massage, takes her time, very meticulous....just the way I like it. I do not go to any salon as I am particular, especially when it comes to nails, since I do nails myself. Teeny is great at what she does. I will get serviced from her from here on out! read more

Decided to come here 5 days ago. Not only because it was really close by to my house but I needed a new place because mine was starting to suck . I came in on a Sunday and it was quiet . The guy who helped me was great but was under stress since one of his employees did not show up which he wasn't bothered at all to tell me ( I found that great because i did not want to assume he stressed that a client was coming in). I ended up doing a gel manicure and a regular pedi and it was reasonably priced . About to be a week strong on my nails and toes and they are doing better than ever .. will definitely be back ! Joanne and her staff are awesome, If I could give this salon a 10 out of 5, I definitely would. Joanne is the BEST EVER. She is extremely educated about everything pertaining to hair! She thoroughly explains the process to ensure that you understand everything and that you guys are both on the same page. She was able to lift my hair to a blonde in (ONE SESSION) that no other hairstylist could ever do. They would tell me next session but 5 sessions would pass by and they could never achieve the color Joanne did for me. I am referring all my friends and family to her. Also, what stood out to me was that not only is she talented and extremely humble, but she treats all of her clients so well ( Awesome customer service ) . I had a pedicure once here and it was amazing. At the time I saw Joanne working then on a clients hair and loved her style and work. Came back today to get a haircut by Joanne. And she was AMAZING! My hair is super thick and long indian/Asian hair. I've always struggled to find a stylist who could cut my hair well, thin it a bit without it being crazy flyaway and also shape it good. I want because the other reviews were good and Wink is 5 minutes from work. The pedicure turned out fine, but the gel manicure turned out very poorly. The polish dried lumpy in areas and bled onto my fingers. My tips are exposed and it was so globbed on the gel didn't set on the way through so it moves and leaks. I will have to get them redone. I came and received a manicure here and the service is absolutely outstanding! Everyone is very personable and friendly. I got there soon after they opened and was told to pick from their wide range of colors. The owner is so nice and down to earth! I wish he would open a salon here in Atlanta and show these people what good service and quality work looks like!
