In the spring, I ordered decking for my condo. Al was very helpful and patient with me as he helped me figure out Exactly what I needed for my order since I had never done this before. Shortly after I placed my original order, I changed my mind and decided to order more boards to do a more thorough deck repai/replacement. Again, Al was very patient, kind, understanding, and helpful to me as he needed to add onto my order. Later in the summer when I discovered that I needed to exchange a few boards that were slightly defective, And replace them in order to finish the project, Al was very accommodating. He arranged for the boards to be picked up, he applied a credit for those boards to my account, and explained very thoroughly and apologetically that the fact that the replacement and additional Boards I needed were on back order and he wasn't exactly sure when they would be in. He said that he would be in touch with me again when he knew more. As promised, al followed up with me a few weeks later to make sure that I still wanted the boards. I told him that I did, and he said that again they were still back ordered but he was hoping to see them within the next few weeks. I just received a phone call from Al today telling me that the boards were in and they can be delivered to my home on Tuesday. Because of my experience, I plan to do more business with this company in the spring for a different project. Al has set the bar for customer service pretty high. The last incident just occurred last week. Several of my windows were leaking between the panes. I started a warranty claim to get the lower sashes replaced. Worked with a guy "Chris" and he tried to get them but was unsuccessful. The sashes did arrive at my house 2 months later which was fine. Communication was fine at first. I was still working with him and "Chris" said we would try this again after I supplied pictures and measurements. The window replacements I paid for magically showed up in 2 weeks?? I had worked with "Chris from Oct 2019 thru January 2020. After January all communication stopped. Never once did he text or email to let me know that he stopped the claim. He never reached out and after 4 months I contacted him again for the 8th time and he said contact the manufacturer and its not his problem. I was hoping that the poor customer service environment at Jackson would have changed from 7 years ago. Sadly it hasn't. I have had 2 other other interactions with Jackson Lumber in 2012 that ended just as poorly. I'm not sure if the unprofessional atmosphere at this location is company wide or limited to this one location. Go ANYWHERE else.

So after three weeks waiting I called and asked what was going on. I was told the material would be delivered be in 5-14-2026 and delivered the next day 5-15-2026. Well the date came and went and still no materials delivered. No phone call, no delivery. This company will just take your money and leave you hanging then blame their distributors. Their problem is now yours, and you get to pay for it ! I will never trust this company again !

The person,(I'm sorry I forget his name) was very helpful and worked with me trying different options by piecing pipe and flanges together to get to what I needed. Probably spent 1/2 hour with me trying to figure something out. There have been times when I walk in 5 minutes before closing needing a propane tank refilled and they have no problems taking the time to do it. Will always continue to go there as long as things are as they are today.

The people who work here are friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. Last year I was in Home Depot in Manchester picking up some trim molding. It seemed a little expensive. I called White Mountain Lumber to compare prices. I got Evie(super cute!) on the phone and when she gave me the price, I almost fainted! Buying it at White Mountain lumber paid for my gas on one trip from Manchester to Berlin, a trip I was frequently making at the time. Then it dawned on me. With Berlin quickly becoming a tourist destination with the 1000 mile Ride the Wilds" trail system exploding in popularity, people are traveling there from all over New England with trailers behind their trucks and SUV's. You are also only minutes from the Appalachian Trail, great fishing, jaw dropping scenery, kayaking, snowmobiling - the Berlin area has it all! Why not get some lumber from the great north woods for your home - and help pay for your travel expenses with the savings? You will make the great north woods part of your home! I had a hard time getting keys made in the Berlin area - most of them didn;'t work. When I have keys made at White Mountain Lumber - they always work! I needed some 6x8 beams once for a project, and one of the owners, Barry, gave me an excellent deal on them. He was super down to earth and friendly.
