Beautiful view from the cabins at Winona Beach Reaort

The staff was great, starting with Shantel, who had great correspondence with us and getting the reservation set up and completed and working with us. Then we got to the resort, and Morgan and Brook took great care of us. It really made us feel like we were at home and valued for the week that we were there. The cabins were nice. Unfortunately, we were there during a heat wave and an open fire ban, so no grilling, but with the cabins, we were able to feed all of our reunion. The staff let us know about the key to catching some fish, and we caught a lot of rainbow trout and brown trout every day. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. If you are planning a nice getaway, I would recommend it for you. Also, try the cheesesticks at the store it was a big hit with the kids!

This is our Entire spot too put chairs, BBQ, and relax in.

In 20 years of Rving this was our worst mistake by FAR! A $5,000 dollar mega mistake! We showed up 3 days after the season started and it was a huge mistake. The people to our left where allowed to push into our space by 3 feet because ya know how dare I not show up on the first day and go to a funeral. Our window was literally 8 inches from our neighbors on one side so we could at least open our door on the other side to exit the RV. It was not mentioned any were in our lengthy agreement that the little patch in front of the RV was actually 2 HUGE trees with enormous roots. This made it impossible to put a grill on it or chairs of any kind. and the trees did not make for a a beautiful view of the lake. In between the trees was a very small picnic table that was so small our 11 year could not even sit at it. But she was the only one that could squeeze between the trees to attempt sitting at it. For all the rules they have in place for quite (like no music) they sure are happy to have endless ATVing going on. Many guys would go get on there ATV and start it up and let it idle while grabbing a beer then drive over 4 RVs and leave the ATV idling and grab a buddy. Then that buddy would start his ATV and let it idle while he gets his "stuff". Now 2 ATVs are idling. Then off they drive 2 RVs down and we start all over. It reminds me of being a kid in the 70's and riding your bike from friend house to friends house to get enough to play Simon said. But this is really loud and obnoxious. We would often have kids in out little area to climb the trees and they would step all over our stuff and break it in getting to the trees. If they would hurt themselves we would then have to find the parents who would inevitably be upset we let them climb the tree. We parked our RV here with a summer rental for $5,000 and ended up only using 6 times. We gave up after I tripped over a tree root and had my nail in my right big toe more or less ripped out and we had to go to Newport for 8 stitches. IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY, SANITY, QUIET OR SPACE DO NOT GO HERE!!! Runnnnnnnnn

Ive been going to Winona Beach resort for 3 years now. Its a beautiful place if you have a site right on the lake, the lake is to die for. They are under new ownership as of this year and have a new manager who is a lot nicer then the previous one. Plus he keeps on top of everything and the park seems cleaner and he even has time to make the best breakfast sandwiches for you in the store. I hope they dont change ALL the spots and make them into seasonal sites. That would be a bummer for the rest of us who can only enjoy a camping site by the lake 1 weekend a year. Hope to see you next summer. Carla B.

Spent the weekend here camping and had a great site right on the water. The store has everything you could possibly need and then some! Staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us. Billy even helped back my travel trailer in since I was newer at it and didn't feel very confident in my skills. He stayed and helped us level the trailer and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We spent time fishing, kayaking, swimming and had a wonderful time. Looking forward to our next trip out there!

Family and friends camp out over this weekend. At first I was a little bummed down to see to many Rvs right next to each other. However it was a great experience camping at Winona Beach with Rv and tents. Public restrooms where's always kept clean. Kids play ground, Basketball area, picnic area some big giant floats where great for my kids to enjoy over the weekend. Bill was always very attentive to provide us with special requests from us like to charge the battery of the boat because we had some issues and send help in middle of the lake due to boat not turning on . After all it ended to be a great weekend for adults and kids. Definitely would recommend Winona Beach Resort.

just how close this site was- my camper is about 4" from the marker line designating my site

Been many times. Peaceful, good swimming, and friendly helpful staff. The cabins are nice and well kept.

My hunting partner and I just returned from a 2/1 guided combo elk and deer hunt in southern Idaho…read more The Idaho biologists stated good numbers of elk and an increase in mule deer after their winter kill in 2021. We hunted out of the Beaver Lodge facility, sleeping there and having our meals prepared there. We left the lodge @ 5:15 am and were driven in the guide's truck 30-45 minutes up forest service roads to our hunting area in units 77,78. We then hiked in the dark with headlamps 1-2 miles up the mountain, sometimes slowly hunting the terrain when it got light enough to shoot. We then sat on a saddle or other crossing point until late afternoon for the evening hunt down the mountain. During the 5 days of hunting, we saw 7 does, one small buck, and bumped a small herd of 6 cows and 1 spike twice, not getting a shot. There were 8 hunters in camp, with 3 guides. Only one 5 point bull was shot among us. The previous group of hunters also had only one bull elk shot. Dale stated a 40%-70% shot opportunity, but in our group, it was only 12.5% as well as 12.5% for the previous group. There are 400 tags allotted for the unit with 50 for non-residents. The units have adequate feed and water for the animals, however they are pounded hard by the hunters from the archery season on and the hunting areas are accessible by ATVs. In my opinion, the areas hunted had a low density of animals and is not worth the effort and dollars to hunt it. The accommodations and food were very good and the guide first rate, however not enough game to justify hunting with Bear paw Outfitters in those units. Greg Gosch

Sitting next to what sounded like a dog pound of barking dogs from neighbors-that's your decision also. My hunt went like this. First day set up where guide flushed turkey off roost evening before-bet you can imagine how that went. Second and third hunt I was dropped off at a blind-the neighbors multiple dogs/peacocks/geese was so loud barking/calling/carrying on it was miserable! Saw 1 hen turkey(same one I'm assuming)both hunts. Doubt you could or would hear a gobbling bird(if one was in the area)past 100 yds. Drove past group of jakes as leaving after 3rd hunt-guide thought we could stalk them right after driving past them. They took off running but guide continued pushing them. My 4th and last hunt I relocated-only saw birds on neighbors where could not go-birds already knew to avoid ground outfitters had permission on because they've shot em out! My hunt was not due to bad luck or birds-my guide did not set me in a reasonable/hunt able spot. Hope this helps another hunters decision in future. I don't recommend Bearpaw Outfitters for turkey hunting.

We got there early and Travis and his son, Noah were waiting, ready and got us moving within minutes. All day, Travis and Noah (Noah is only 12!) were moving like masters, rigging us up, communicating with each other and getting us to all the best spots fishing for exactly what we said we wanted to go for. Travis is sooooo knowledgeable about the whole game of fishing and his Son Noah is such an amazing little man who was so impressive just to watch him work along side his dad. Their communication is impeccable you feel like you're in the bast of hands. The boat is brand new, fully equipped, high-tech and felt very comfortable on. I'm pretty certain that you can't find a better charter fishing outfit anywhere else for Lake Coeur d'Alene fishing. Travis will also fill your head with knowledge of the region, it's overall history, his own past entrepreneurial and life's experiences ( believe me, this man is impressive and inspiring) and will also give you roughly 5 hours of groan-worthy puns!!!! He's a true dad! Haha Seriously, don't even bother searching out other charters. For the price, experience of the crew, modern equipment and entertainment, stop right here, call Vicki and get your trip on their books....you'll be glad you did.

Not only is Travis extremely knowledgeable about the lake and fishing but he and his son are an absolute delight to spend the day with. I was highly impressed with Noah as well; he was patient, kind and attentive to both my kiddos who have never fished before. Any 14 year old kid would get annoyed at having to explain things over and over again to a couple of kids but he seemed to take pleasure in teaching us all how to cast properly. Vicki's delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies in a good old fashioned ziplock bag just makes you feel at home. I couldn't recommend booking this company more.
