The sitting itself went great the photographer was lovely and very patient with my little boy she had loads of fab idea which was helpful as we didn't have a clue what we wanted. A week later we went back for our viewing of all the photographs we'd had taken. It was really relaxed and I had been concerned we might get a pushy sales person but this wasn't the case at all she was lovely and helped us choose what we wanted from the photograph to the frame. I was really happy with the result that final finished photograph was ready a few weeks later. I have to say I do think the normal prices are quite pricey a framed 7x5 was £55 but if your looking for something really special they have payment plans and it will be something you can treasure forever. I was given a gift voucher to use this service and was worried that there would be lots of add on…read morecosts even though the person who bought me the voucher said there wouldn't be and that my kids would love the experience. On arriving my family was greeted by the sales team who took the voucher off us and about 5 minutes later we were met by our photographer, over the next 15 minutes it was brilliant we had lots of photos taken and had all the family photographed from my very little one to the full family photo of 5 people... they were very professional and made the whole experience friendly and fun ... I then came back to reception where I was given the opportunity to view the pictures whilst I waited for the CD to burn... the photographer told me he had taken 90 images...I was shocked as I viewed the photos they were awesome and I found myself getting a bit emotional but I loved it... 5 minutes later they handed me the disc with my images and a copyright release letter giving me complete ownership of the images - all for a fixed fee of £37 quid Whitebox Photography is an excellent service and one I would strongly recommend...forget Venture pick Whitebox they gave me a guranteed 50 images (90) copyright free and all for one fixed fee how can anybody beat that???

I use Proam Imaging regularly, mostly for my university work…read more It's a really good business, offering really cheap and good quality photo prints. I'd say it's aimed at more professional or semi professional customers though, because you need to know a little about digital images to get prints done. To get digital prints, you need to download their colour profile from the website and follow specific resizing instructions. It's a little daunting at first, but once you've done it once or twice it gets easier. The positives to doing this though is you know your prints will look perfect, because you've done the resizing and colour tweaking yourself. I usually take my images in on a disk, and they tend to offer you the prints in 24 hours. Sometimes if I've needed them sooner I've asked for them to be done on the same day, if they are quiet they usually say yes and don't charge me extra, but often they are far too busy to fit it in. The staff are generally friendly, sometimes when it's very busy they can appear a bit stressed, but it's understandable. One point that I have never liked about this place though is they charge you £1 for a folder to put the images in (or 50p for small prints) They do say you can bring in your own envelopes/folders to avoid this cost, but they don't make it easy for you. You can only bring them in when you collect but by that time your images have already been packed into one of their envelopes, so it would mean having to take the prints out again to put into your folder. Recently I think the standards are possibly sliding a little bit, I got some prints done which a few of them had bright yellow lines down them, and some of my classmates have suggested the standards aren't quite the same. However, it's definitely my favourite print shop, and my complaints are only tiny in comparison to their excellent service and nice quality prints.
