Dave emailed back to say that due to the fact there are no restrictions in the UK this would need to be a cancellation. We have no problem with this and we believe as a business he is within his rights to do this (even though our contract clearly states that we can postpone if the date is available). However, what I cannot condone is Dave's complete unprofessionalism and lack of customer service. The email we received back from Dave to inform us of the fact we would need to cancel was rude, snappy and completely lacking any empathy. Throughout the email he proceeded to talk (rant!) about over the previous weeks and months he had just received negativity from customers who don't understand his situation and how COVID has impacted his business. We understand that so many businesses are struggling at the moment but given that Dave has no understanding as to why people may have had to move their much anticipated wedding (job losses, loss of earnings, social distancing, limited numbers to name a few) he should be a bit more understanding of other peoples situations. This pandemic is impacting everybody. To sum up, Dave was rude, arrogant, dismissive and his customer service terrible. Avoid booking with this company.

My wedding photos were horrendous and being very upset, I complained to them and they made no attempt to mitigate or appease us. Apparently you have to ask to have a photo of you and your groom together at your own wedding and there was I thinking it was a given? They even wilfully destroyed the raw images so we couldn't try and salvage something from them. Sadly for them, we paid our deposit using a Barclaycard so we complained to them and after reviewing the evidence they stated that Dave Spink Photography had breached the contract as they hadn't provided the service they promised and that the photos were not of a good standard. I have given them 1 star as its the minimum you can give. But then again in fairness the Photobooth was great fun and produced the only decent photos from my wedding. I'm glad other people have had great photos taken by the company as I wouldn't want anyone else to experience the profound disappoint I did. But please note that if you check Facebook out before booking them as I did, realise that they can delete any negative feedback from their Facebook site so its not really a true reflection of their performance. I do not believe in dedicating a good portion of your special day towards getting a magazine style portrait. You set your timeline, give me the details and I will take care of the photos. The only time I take off my documentary hat and take control is during the group photos, and that's only if you want group photos. Apart from that, you will barely be aware that there is someone out there taking photos.
