It's only just after 9am and the staff are busy receiving deliveries and making arrangements. Services included catering for weddings, funerals, and other occasions. What to buy? In the end I go for a fiver's worth of fresh-in-today, pungent-as-you-like star-gazer lillies. I It's well worth remembering that this florist opens at 8am so you can always pop in, like I am, on the way to work.

It's great that you can give flowers on all occasions and Urban Designs caters to this; from birthdays, thank you and sorry messages to all the holidays. There is even information to tell you how to look after the flower and I'm sure the staff will be more than willing to help. I know a decent bunch of flowers can be expensive but I think the prices are reasonable here. If I got flowers on regular occasions I'd take advantage of their loyalty card; every time £7.50 is spent you get a stamp, once 25 stamps have been collected then you get a free £10 gift voucher. Urban Design Flowers is a lovely florist - with a great variety of flowers, well-displayed, and reasonable prices. It's not as cheap as picking up a bunch in Tescos, but then this has 'design' in the title, which, well, basically means someone has thought about it. And the thought pays off: they really know their stuff here. The girl that was serving me (sadly I can't remember her name, but she had blonde hair!) was really lovely, very helpful and clearly proud of her work and her wares. They also have a great selection of vases and other decorative items - again, looking a bit more interesting than your factory-produced ornamental bits and bobs. Sometimes I like going in here not to buy anything but just hang around and enjoy the sights, smells and general colourfulness of this shop. It's a beautiful, bright breath of fresh air.

This florist is brilliant and I have never had anything but beautiful, long lasting flowers from them. They have lots of standard varieties outside but it is when you go into the store that the large range of stock can be seen. You can just wander in and ask them to make up a bouquet from scratch with however much you'd like to spend. As they make it there and then in front of you, you can ask for specific colours or blooms to be included. Almost every year they supply flowers for Mother's day and even deliver on the actual Sunday in the local area which is a really nice touch.

The lady was very helpful and flowers got delivered well in time. When I arrived at the house of the bereaved and saw the flowers are was very impressed. They were lovely and I felt I got good value for money. From my experience I would definitely reccomend.

OUTSTANDING!!!! Beautiful Flower arrangement and wonderful service throughout…read more My wife and I called into this little shop a couple of weeks ago to order flowers for her Moms funeral. We had never been here before but it was convenient to the care home she had been staying in. From the moment we entered the shop we were made to feel so welcome and at ease. Nothing was too much trouble to assist us in choosing the flowers in what was a very sad time for us. Today Friday 7th February we collected the flower arrangements. When we were shown the flower arrangement my wife was overcome with emotion and tears. They were beautiful and everything she wanted and beyond hers and my expectations. What a wonderful skill and talent Sarah and her colleagues have. Outstanding value and far better than we have had before. Although we live some distance away we will be back and highly recommend you to pay a visit. To Sarah and colleagues a big big thank you for your understanding, empathy and brilliant work. X
