Getting anyone on the phone is taxing, and when you do speak to someone it's a crap shoot on whether or not they will help and/or be personable. With the rates dropping I contacted Dovenmuehle to see if they offered options for loan modifications hoping it would be cheaper than a complete refinance. They said they'd send me info on the process. Well, they instead put me into forbearance and stopped my auto payments. It took almost a month of phone calls and time to straighten it out and get out of forbearance.....something in ever should have been in! I wouldn't doubt it was a stat for them. Well, the good news is they just sold my loan to another bank. I was going to refinance just to get away from Dovenmuehle but now I'll give it a couple months to see how this one goes. What's the harm in having yet another bank have all of my info.

Every time I called in, I had to answer tons questions, even though I provided account #, social, last payment etc.... And even still sometimes they would not give me any info. The service was so poor and sketchy that I decided to just pay the loan off and not deal with that kind of bank. Even the payoff method was sketchy. I received payoff instructions that to be hand typed, and the look like it was out from a printer and running out of ink. I couldn't read the payoff . So again I had to call the bank and they would not give me any information or was no help. It took about two months to pay the loan off.

After the appraisal they told me everything was looking good and gave me an estimated closing date. Then supposedly something with the appraisal started going wrong. They said nothing to worry about if anything we'll switch the loan type and it'll keep us on track. After this every week I'd call and they'd give me the run around saying different things or they simply wouldn't answer the call/emails. After about two months of no answers I gave up hopes with this company. Avoid them at all cost or you'll regret it.
