OK, it's not somewhere you are going to specifically go out to, but if you are in the area and need something at a strange time of day they can probably help. The service is not exactly 'with a smile' and they don't run endless BOGOF type promotions, but they do have a good range of stuff and have been handy many a time when I needed to grab something on the way into work and nowhere else was open.

I managed to find a good few magazines that I liked and so headed to the counter and picked up some chocolate on the way. The man who served me was polite and friendly and asked me if I was having a good day, which was nice. I like it when staff can give you a bit of small talk! The prices were not too bad, but I suppose shops have no control over the prices of newspapers and magazines. However, the chocolate bar that I purchased was of a reasonable price! Perhaps the good folk of Bournville love nothing better than to feed their pets whilst eating ice cream and writing greetings cards. It sounds like Pleasantville. But to be fair, it kind of is. In which case, Bournville Stores is ideally placed to meet these needs. Other than that, nothing to report - the service was fine, the prices were fine and it's a general, useful local store.

The staff are genrerally helpful. They store is usually well equiped and well lit too. They are open quite long hours so suit many peoples needs and it is open late and early. They do a good range of food stuff for a newsagents so if you are only popping out for a fe bits it's a good place to go. The prices are pretty resonable too although a little more than somewhere like tesco.

As you many know Hall Green is a large residential area therefore there are a lot of news agents so I think what would make Sai news stand out is having a larger selection of food and drinks and possibly sell stamps. I thought the owners were friendly as they gave a good greeting when I walked in. The prices are cheap, which is great for everyone who wants to save money and especially as I am a student.

Yhe shop is very narrow but very long too. Magazines are lined up and the left hand side taking over much of the entire wall, from floor to ceiling. These consist of magazines be it hair or gaming ones to fhm etc etc. They also have newspapers too as do all newsagents papershops. On the right hand sisde of the shop you find lots of sweets, these are usually bagged up and are great value for money. The shop also sells drinks to, these are also at a great price. Definately one not to miss. The till is at the back of the shop with friendly helpful staff, always seemingly happy. This is the only one in coventry unless the one in bell green, riley square still exsists which is a shame as this shop does a roaring trade due to their great prices.

It is clean, neatly stocked and has a good choice of newspapers - from the Express and Star to the Independent. The sweet counter is also pretty decent, with all of the e-number laden and neon coloured confectionery you could wish for. Towards the back of the shop, they sell all of the basic foodstuffs and household products you'd expect, including bread, canned foods and washing up liquid. I was quite impressed with this shop, mainly because the lady who served me was really friendly and jolly. That said, they didn't stock my favourite chewing gum (Wrigley's Extra Ice White, for what it is worth). They did sell chilled Diet Coke in a can, which is the best drink in the whole wide world. Their range of products is exactly what you'd expect from a small newsagents, not selling an awful lot more than magazines (of which they have what I've found to be an exceptionally good selection), newspapers, sweets, drinks, and a few basic essentials, such as tea bags. All their prices are extremely fair, more than competing with the nearby Sainsburys, and, despite having been in numerous times and been served by several different people, the staff are always friendly.
