We moved to the Wesley Chapel area on October 2019 and immediately searched for a Family Practice…read morefor my husband and I. We found Dr. Manalo. After several visits we found the Dr to be very attentive, extremely nice and helpful to me and my husband had a good rapport with the Nurse practitioner. It wasn't until later that we discovered that the Administration for the practice is completely the contrary from the medical staff. They are cold, in-personal, And with zero customer service. Specifically his Ofc Manager, Paul. This gentleman is rude and ruthless. The ofc constantly mixed up my visit bills with my husbands visit bills and acted annoyed when we questioned it. We still continued to visit the practice until recently when we received a $1,160. Bill from LabCorp. We have BlueCross Insurance and they only use Quest as in network. We had our Lab work done at the practice and they send it to LabCorp instead of Quest. When the doctor was informed by me of this, he was surprised and apologize and told me to send the bill that they would take care of it. 7 months later and they haven't. My insurance has been involved and LabCorp is aware of the situation and out of sympathy have not send us to collections, but his Ofc Manager refuses to deal with this bill and keeps giving us the run around. I have no way to contact Dr. Manalo. We have already found a different Primary Physician and are now dealing with our attorney so they can directly take care of this situation before our credit gets negatively impacted. Be aware of this practice. It's sad that Dr. Manalo has no idea what his patients are going through with their office staff..

But, along with this I was looking for a friendly and welcoming staff. I found a good doctor years ago in Tampa and his staff was so incredibly rude to me and other patients, I had to severe ties. This was until I found Dr. Rosenquist and his lovely staff. Even if I get another physician or a nurse practitioner, the experience always leaves me feeling "heard". I deal with physicians everyday with my occupation and know how frustrating it is to find a good doctor these days. This entire staff is top notch and I have referred many friends and family to them. I am recommending to whomever reads this as well!

When I'm calling because I need medical attention, I feel like assessing my level of need is imperative. Instead, I'm laughed at and told that they might be able to see me on Monday (today is a Friday). I could be having a stroke or something but I'll have to wait until Monday? I understand they are busy, but appointments are scheduled with room for walk ins. At least letting me talk to a nurse would help me know if I should wait. Instead I'm told to go to a walk in clinic or the ER if I need to see a doctor. #donewiththisplace

I called for an…read morealbuterol inhaler refill in January, and because I hadn't been seen since my physical in May, I had to make a follow-up appointment. During the appointment, Janae and I spoke for about 15 minutes. I told her that I'd make an appointment for my annual physical in May. I went to the front desk to make an appointment for a physical and was told that the appointment that I just had was a physical. I called the next day to clear up any misunderstanding, and make sure my insurance was billed accordingly and was told by the receptionist that she would check "with the office". She called me back and informed me that, because my insurance wants people to have physicals at the beginning of the year, it was a physical. I then told the receptionist that I normally ask for full bloodwork to be ordered at my annual physical, and that I'd like an order for bloodwork. The receptionist then told me that I'd have to make another appointment to come back to the office before an order for bloodwork would be written. It's not unique to this office, but the entire healthcare system is a scam, one which this practice fully embraces. It's built upon making patients unnecessarily, and repeatedly, come in for appointments for the purpose of billing insurance companies.

My husband recently established care with this physician for a follow-up appointment, and…read moreunfortunately the experience left us uncomfortable and disappointed. When the doctor came to get my husband from the waiting room, he called his name and immediately turned and walked away without greeting us. There was no introduction or effort to create rapport. During the visit, he avoided eye contact when we asked questions and did not offer explanations when we raised reasonable concerns. His blood pressure was taken on his forearm, which we found unusual. When we mentioned that his reading had been significantly higher at another appointment earlier that same morning, the response was simply, "Oh," with no clarification or discussion. We also requested a referral for a mental health provider who could offer both counseling and medication management. The doctor stated he prefers to refer patients to a psychologist for therapy and then manage medication himself. When we asked about the possibility of seeing one provider for both services, he responded with comments about psychiatrists "overmedicating" patients, including an example of patients "drooling on themselves." The tone felt dismissive and defensive rather than informative. He emphasized that he has been practicing for 30 years and that this is how he does things. The overall visit lasted about 15 minutes. At checkout, the front desk interaction was similarly curt and unwelcoming. This was my husband's first experience establishing care with a primary care physician as an adult, and unfortunately it did not feel collaborative or patient-centered. We value clear communication and mutual respect in healthcare, and based on this experience, we have decided to seek care elsewhere.

I rarely complain, but this has been my worst experience with a doctor's office by far. Please go…read moreto any other doctor to spare yourself this terrible experience and the time and money you'll lose here. Other doctors I've told have been appalled by TriHealth's practices. (*Everything TriHealth said in their reply is completely untrue--I explain below) They made so many mistakes in both their admin and their medical care in just 3 visits (should have just been 1) that cost me lots of money and time, I became sick, and I believe they violated HIPAA and APA ethics, and they've refused to rectify any of it. I came in just because I needed a primary doctor to write a referral (deviated septum). Very simple. The doctor said that part of his intake process is doing some blood tests (I had no issues that needed a blood test). I followed the instructions and got the blood tests, only to later get a bill for around $2000 because I found out no insurance (except some executive ones) ever covers most of these tests for a totally healthy 29-year-old because they are deemed completely medically unnecessary. All major guidelines that health plans reference recommend no routine blood work at all for a healthy 29-year-old of normal weight, except an optional lipid panel. It's like telling a healthy person with no accident or problem it's necessary to get an x-ray of their entire body just to see if any bones happen to be broken. Of course insurance will deny it. And they never told me these tests were optional, that no major insurance covers them (they had my insurance on file), or that it could be so expensive, going against AMA ethics, which say physicians should alert patients of likely financial burdens for non-urgent care. If you come here, expect for them to prescribe things you do not need without telling you insurance says in their policies they cannot cover them, leaving you with massive bills for things you didn't need. They also failed to communicate on a number of other things. I showed up for the blood tests the first time, only to find out I needed to fast for these tests. The doctor and office never mentioned this, and it wasn't in any of the paperwork. So I had to come back another day after all that time waiting. They scheduled a follow-up appointment to discuss the blood test results, and when I got there, they started looking for the results in their system, only to find out they hadn't received them yet, so I had to schedule another appointment after this wasted one because they failed to check. And they billed both of these appointments to insurance. On top of that, insurance said TriHealth didn't submit medical records for that 3rd appointment, so coverage was denied, and I had to contact them to submit them. I also got very sick because of medicine they prescribed for something small that didn't help and that other doctors later said didn't make sense to prescribe for my situation and that it was a bad decision. And the referral (the only reason I came) didn't even work because TriHealth didn't submit it the correct way. I asked them to redo it, and it was still wrong, so I gave up and went to another doctor. The person they put me in touch with, Huda (COO of TriHealth) has not solved any of these problems or taken any accountability. Instead, when I kindly asked for her to send me what ICD-10 codes and the claim they sent to insurance, which they are legally required to do under HIPAA, she refused to and then terminated me from TriHealth! I asked for my legal right, and she terminated me. Another time, she had ignored my email for an entire week, so I called the number in her work signature. She then got upset with me for calling her personal number, even after I told her it's the number in her work signature. No apology for ignoring my email; just blaming me for calling her on the number she gave me in her work signature. Then she continued to use the number in her signature. That sums up TriHealth--make mistakes then blame others and make false accusations (I wouldn't be surprised if they reply to this with more gaslighting, false accusations, and refusal to admit they were wrong). Save yourself to trouble and go elsewhere.
