After a week of huge schnitzels and sausages, we booked dinner at Im Hoffgassl. What a great decision. On a gorgeous September evening that courtyard was just magical (could've done without my neighbors smoking, but hey, this is Europe). Wine - gorgeous - of course. Dishes - on the smaller side, what you'd expect for fine dining. But tasty. My god, tasty. Absolutely loved the mushroom ravioli, lamb, and carpaccio. The amuse bouche was so delicious, too. Service was attentive, and the staff spoke great English as well. My hubby said he preferred the big schnitzel type meals, but not me, this was possibly my favourite in Austria. Booking was easy, it was via WhatsApp and quickly confirmed. Yes, it was on the pricier side. But living in New York, I thought it was very good value.
