My wife had cravings for kasespaezle and saurbraten, so we looked on google and found this. We ordered the food to go since we were on the road. Food came pretty quick and was freshly made. The saurbraten was great! Meat was so soft that it just fell apart when you picked it up with a fork. Sauce was full of flavor and had plenty of sauce. The kasespaezle was different than what we are used to in Bavaria, however it was still good. It had enough cheese sauce to drown in and was creamy delicious! Great price and location! The amount of food you get for the price is unbeatable. (From what I have seen). Friendly staff, and they speak English. I ordered a regular sntichel meal. It was huge! Just order the small. It's the perfect amount. The salad is pretty one point! Beer is just as good. The out door seating is nice. I highly recommend this place. read more

One of two above-average restaurants on the same square (Funzel is the other), Zum Erdinger is smaller on the inside, but seems to have more outdoor seating when the weather is good. We've had good service both times we've gone, including english-speaking service (although YMMV). The interior is old-school european decor, and if you want to sit indoors I'd recommend reservations as there really aren't that many tables inside. I've gone with a basic schnitzel both times, and they are big (don't get the groß unless you mean it) and well cooked (tender but crispy on the outside). One of the better german side-salads as well, with lettuce, sauerkraut, beet salad, potato salad, and shredded marinated carrot, so it's damn near a meal on it's own. read more

Super nice hospitality! The owners and service team are very accommodating and flexible. They seem totally nonplussed whenever we make a change to the time or number of people who are attending a dinner. The nearby private room is perfect for 10-30 folks. (I think they also run the restaurant Funzel across the square.) Always a solid dining experience. Had excellent spargel--largest I've ever seen and still tender. Parking is underneath the market square or along various side streets. Good Eiscafé just around the corner. read more

We ate here back in June on a night when the entire Wettbachplatz had been turned into one giant Biergarten to watch the European cup soccer. It seemed like the entire city was here. Despite the huge crowds, the service and food were both great. Our waitress helped us with our orders, and was great with the kids. Schweinebraten, liver and flädle soup were all wonderfully prepared. The Erdinger Weißbier and Pikantus were excellent. read more
