I don't know what is better the food or the service because both were phenomenal. Even though the place was busy and there was a table of 20 my server was also handling, my food came extra fast, and I didn't have to wait for anything. I got the brauhaus special with the ravioli and shank and it was delicious. The ravioli was stuffed nice and the shank was tender. The gravy went well and the spatzle was cheesy and delicious too. This place is huge, but it still has so much character. It somehow manages to feel spacious without losing that cozy, welcoming vibe. Our server was amazing. Can't remember his name but he spoke like 8 languages. We asked for recommendations for local beers and he absolutely did not disappoint -- everything he suggested was spot on. You can tell he really knew the menu and the local brews. We tried both of their soups, and wow. The goulash was probably one of the better ones my husband has had in his life -- rich, flavorful, and perfectly done. First review of 2025 and the Schönbuch Brauhaus hit the spot! Having only lived in Germany for 3 months, I'm exploring the food and can honestly say that I've not had a bad meal. This was no different. When my family visited during the holidays, they wanted to have a German meal. Well, kind of! My daughter ordered a burger which I had a bite of and it was delicious. My wife had spatzel and I had a hock. Ham hock? Pork knuckle? Whatever it is it scared me as it was huge -- challenge accepted. As a lover of food, I was defeated but the pork was so juicy with a nice crispy skin, some good fat, great pork flavor. Tobias, our kellner (trying to learn German!) rooted for me and was fantastic ensuring we had everything we needed. I let him down by asking for a box for what I couldn't finish. The vide is great here and huge tables that would be great for a large party. Of course the beer was delicious! Dunkel for me and it did not disappoint. If I could ding it for one thing, mom got schnitzel that seemed pretty small. Can't remember if there was a groß and klein option or not but it was perfect for her...I'd have been sad if I got it. This is such a neat and great place. I stopped here on a business trip and ended up eating here twice. I only do that when the food is really good. First, let's talk about the beer. Of course it is good! I love a good pils, but the special beers are good too. I also tried a banana beer and it was tasty. And this place is spacious and the servers are nice. The first time I ate here, I had the pig knuckle. I arrived with a large party of about 12 or so coworkers. Everyone's food looks good. The second time I have the burger which was also very tasty. I highly recommend this place. There was also this very cute light skin, German girl there. A great place to grab a good German meal. While you enjoy your beverage of choice (I recommend the beer they brew themselves there), you can watch your kids play on the playground, or watch a soccer match during soccer season. A decent restaurant/brewery with traditional Swabian food and beer from Schönbuch Braumanufaktur. We went three times due to the generally positive experience. The beer was good. Food was good and enjoyable, but not necessarily spectacular. (Keep in mind we went three times while in Stuttgart, so clearly it is good). Portions are decent to large size; the menu is extensive. A German-English menu is available for non-English speakers. Wonderful atmosphere with large, group booth/tables as well as smaller tables. If the establishment is busy or packed, small parties seated at the large, group booth/tables might have to share the booth/table with other small parties. This is not necessarily a bad thing, more of an FYSA. Outdoor seating is also available with a playground for your ragamuffins to run around. Both indoor and outdoor seating is pleasant. Service varies. Some pleasant and friendly, others will rush you; not patient or hospitable. Parking is available, but it is relatively limited as it is quite the popular place. No worries! Parking is available on nearby streets, and a little exercise before and after a hearty meal is good for you. This place is a must if you are in Stuttgart. I will probably be back - plenty of meals to try. One of my favorite places in Böbligen. Great variety of food, fast service and excellent open ambience.

We ate here last night and it was epic! First, for those with children, this place has outdoor seating and a playground for kids. That is a huge plus and worth a star on its own. As for the food, we wish there was an allergen menu, we didn't see one, but also on us for not asking for one. I got the Brauhaus Special which was a smorgasbord of offerings such as a schnitzel, Swabian ravioli, and spatzle. I was thrilled with my meal and it was delicious! My wife thought she was getting a skillet of pork strips in a cream sauce, but skillet in German must not be the same since it was more like a bowl of chunky soup. There's a lot to like about this place. The food is always solid. I usually get the kartoffeltaschen. Fried potatoes and cheese on a big fresh salad on top of tinier salads. Yes, all day, will eat. I like their beers, and I'm not a beer person. The cola beer has a nice sweetness to it, and had become my go-to. The waitstaff has always been quick and helpful. Though it's a brewery, it's also very kid-friendly. In the warmer months, you can sit outside while the littles run around the playground. Like a lot of beer halls, there is communal seating, which...I'm not the most extroverted person, so I tend to go early enough to get a four top so I don't have to make small talk with strangers. It gets weird when we're crammed in with people at the Sunday buffet. But that's just me! tl;dr Good food, good for kids, communal and private tables. read more

The kitchen is about to go under major renovation through mid-March, but they will still be serving a decent menu (see their website for the shortened and normal menus). In the meantime I've found the service to be typical German service, probably even a little above average in speed and friendliness. As usual, just wander in and find a seat, there is no hostess to worry about, but keep an eye out for tables with a "reserviert" card indicating they are reserved. The seating on the lower level is big tables with bench seating, so be prepared to share a table if it gets busy. Beer is Schönbuch (not surprisingly since they own the brauhaus), but they make a wide variety of both year-round and season beers so it's not like your choice are Bud and Bud Light. I had the Weihnachtsbier the first visit and Hefeweizen the second, and was very happy with both. Food wise we had good luck both times as well. The mini-brats (kleine Rostbratwürstle) with sauerkraut were solid and the farm bread was excellent, and the lentils with the German weiners (Heckengäu-Beluga-Linsen) were more flavorful than I'd expected. The second visit I decided to try the grilled sausage meatloaf (Fleischkäse vom Grill) because I just wasn't sure what it would be like and it sounded interesting. It turned out to be a thick slice of something between canned ham and kielbasa, which probably makes it sound less appetizing than it was. Bottom line, if you like kielbasa you'll probably love it. read more
