A school that focuses on classical education and for their students to be the best they can be. I was sold. My son starts today and I couldn't be more excited. His teacher seems nice and knowledgeable. The building for the smaller children are separate from the bigger kids which I also like. This gets them acclimated to being in a new school. After successfully completing the initial virtual interview, I was contacted by the Director of Recruitment to schedule a phone interview. However, the scheduled interview call was missed entirely, and after waiting, I ultimately had to locate and call the office myself. During the conversation, there appeared to be confusion regarding my candidacy and interview status. Despite this, the discussion itself went well, and I was informed that I would likely move forward to the next stage involving a teaching demonstration with faculty the following week. After receiving no follow-up communication regarding scheduling, I sent a polite reminder requesting the date and time so I could prepare accordingly. I later received a rejection email without any further discussion. I fully understand that schools may choose other candidates, and I respect that process. However, the scheduling issues, communication delays, and overall coordination of the interview experience felt disorganized and inconsistent with the professional image the institution presents publicly.

We regret having made the decision to enrol our daughter in the LMB reading program and it fell…read moresignificantly short of the representations and assurances that were given to us before signing up. When we met with the school, we were assured that this learning methodology WOULD work, unless there are behavioral or learning difficulties. In addition we were also told that our daughter would move up to a certain percentile having completed the program. My child was behind in reading comprehension but was seen as a great candidate for the LMB program. In fact, the woman we met with said, she had been working there for years and couldn't in good conscience ask parents to spend thousands of dollars on the curriculum unless we would see results! Unfortunately, after three months of significant time and money, my child's evaluation went from 4.9 grade level to a 5.0 grade level. And in fact her oral scores went down!? In hindsight, i was really worried and keen to set my daughter up for success, and didn't do enough research on this program. I wish i had worked with a personal tutor (which we are doing now and seems to be much more effective and affordable).

Math has never been an issue for my son until this past school year. He was struggling in Alg 1 & needed help. Of course my son didn't want to go to tutoring & was adamant that he didn't need tutoring. After his first session with Jordan, he left SMP tutoring happier than ever, & understood the ALG lesson that he was having difficulty with. Once when he began tutoring @ SMP he was no longer frustrated, nor was I. Eventually the algebra 1 concepts were easier for him & he had more confidence in himself & the concepts he was learning. His tutor Jordan, was awesome! Jordan was very knowledgeable, patient and motivating. My son passed his Alg 1 EOC standardized test with a high 4! Which is AMAZING! We are beyond ecstatic. My son passed the Alg1 class & Alg EOC because of SMP tutoring! I honestly should have started him sooner, but he will most definitely continue with SMP tutoring. :) If your child is struggling academically or your child needs to improve test scores, I highly recommend SMP tutoring! I enrolled my son in this SAT tutoring program hoping to help him improve his score and strengthen…read morehis understanding of the material. Unfortunately, after spending a significant amount of money on this service, we saw little to no measurable improvement. Throughout the program, I communicated my concerns directly to the owner. Rather than addressing the effectiveness of the tutoring, I was repeatedly made to feel as though my son was the problem. In my opinion, the tutors lacked the ability to teach concepts in a way that promoted true understanding and mastery of the SAT. Sessions often consisted of simply reviewing information and test questions rather than providing meaningful instruction, strategies, or personalized guidance. What made this experience even more disappointing was that after leaving this program, I found another tutor who worked with my son for just three weeks. During that short period, his SAT score increased by 170 points. This demonstrated to me that my son was fully capable of improving when provided with effective instruction and support. After the tutoring service itself acknowledged that my son and their program were not the right fit, I requested a refund or at least a partial refund given the lack of results and the substantial cost. The owner never responded to my request. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. The program was extremely expensive, produced no meaningful results for my son, and when concerns were raised, they were not addressed in a professional or customer-focused manner. Update as a response to owner feedback. 100% my son sat for the exam they were contracted for and this is where no improvement was made. After the results I was given the option of one on one tutoring at an additional $75/hr. Obviously this service lacks the ability to keep a student engaged and motivated and the results of a different tutoring service proves that SMP is not a good investment.

I'm…read morein 9th grade (going into 10th now), and The Biltmore School left me severely underprepared for regular school life. Yes, the small hands on approach is definitely good for children with disabilities/developmental issues, however if you take a child without these difficulties and then put them into a regular school (public schools) your kids gonna have a lot of problems. The schools probably changed since my time attending, sure, however while I was there, it was even unsafe for kids with issues. An example of this would be with my cousin who also attended at the same time as me, who was autistic and low support needs. He was a victim of bullying, which got the a point where a student broke his arm. As for me, I didn't have these sorts of issues (I have ADHD but that's never effected my learning so I don't count it) and after I left The Biltmore, I was introduced to many different learning tools such as iready, IXL, ect. However, The Biltmore never taught me how to use these programs, and the larger classes of public schools meant that my teachers rarely offered me help with using these programs, leaving me to teach myself which made me struggle at the beginning of my education in public schools. To any parents thinking of sending your children here; DO NOT. DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!!!! As a former student, I'm begging you not to send your kids here, it was genuinely one of the worst experiences of my life.

They adore him and that makes my heart so happy. It truly is a blessing when you can leave your child at school every day and never have to worry. All of his teachers have been a blessing!
