Their prices are reasonable and there were no hidden costs as the job went on. We were so pleased that I encouraged my Quaker Meeting to hire them to redo the kitchen in the Meeting House. The job was done beautifully and they were easy to work with. The Freeds take pride in their work and value the customer/contractor relationship, which makes working with them a very positive experience. We have also had the Freeds install a new stall shower in our bathroom which required removal of a leaking pan and removing old tiles. The new walls and base are beautiful and very easy to keep clean. We are planning to have them install carpet in our home and do some painting this summer. Tom handled everything from design (using Joe Malaro at M-designs), permits, subcontractors, to the polished delivery. Jason has a rare attention for details on the finish work. You will see both of them working hard alongside of their teams; there are no slackers or hands-off managers here. If I won the lottery or get a sufficient windfall, I will want Hamburger Builders to design and build my home from ground up... and I mean that with all sincerity. Oh, and wow are they nice, responsive, organized, PATIENT, flexible, trusted advisers, bets detailed and understandable all-in estimates I've seen (you'll get the all-in price and no surprises). Joe always kept in touch with me as the start date for our project was approaching, and I had his cell number to contact him anytime I had a question. Tom is his guy on-site basically every day -- he is great. He does great custom woodwork. I had his contact info as well and he always kept me up to date on a daily basis. They are thorough, professional, clean, and just all-around nice guys. They don't stop until it's perfect and the customer is happy. He was never compliant with the city on inspections. He will tell you everything you want to hear as a homeowner but you CANNOT believe anything he says. What a nightmare. We will see to it that his license is revoked.

He will have an open, honest and helpful conversation with you about what can/should be done to achieve your goal without talking over your head.
