It's like a Spencer's gifts but cleaner, organized and much better curated. It's run by people who appreciate unique home and kitchen decor. They've got everything from drink mixes to vintage/weird sodas to edible bugs and local souvenirs. It's a little tight so make sure to watch the kids because it's very stimulating for little ones. Lots of funny tongue and cheek gifts. It's a cool place to find interactive gifts like popcorn flights w/ shake toppings, joke gifts, cast iron trinkets. Not all of the artwork is from the Cape, as Sandwich is adjacent to the South Shore and the South Coast. So you might see items from artists in, say, New Bedford. The store has a nice variety of artwork at various price points, so there's perhaps something for everybody.

Upon leaving with their new "vacuum cleaner" like push toys I stopped in By The Bay to do a bit more shopping. The twins stayed outside on the deck with their parents pushing their new somewhat noisy toys with so much excitement. I left the store upon hearing the two extremely cranky women inside complaining about the noise. I was in there no more than two minutes. Needless to say they will not receive any of my or my family's business. May have been better not to have opened a shop below a toy store. Rude, unprofessional and NOT kid friendly!!!!!
