And a staff member was helping them get the perfect clothing in several colors! She was cheery and must walk 10 miles a day in this emporium! It's January on cape and it's dead of winter, but not dead here! I watched dozens and dozens of people with their arms, full of sweatshirts and T-shirts, staggering towards the counters to pay on their way back out to a full parking lot! If you take an early boat over, we usually grab the 9:05 from Hyannis and that gives us plenty of time to walk through. Watch your step and footing. The roads are cobble stone and very hard, uneven and unforgiving. People tend to get a little pushy-shovey and the it's densely packed. Crafts, art, food stuff (honey, spices, etc.), and farm fresh vegetables grown on island when seasonable. It's great, but we've never bought any vegetables as we'd have to carry them all day. That said, it is still a fun time. Keep it local!

I was vacationing in the Cape Cod area with my daughter Julia. She wanted to check out the local antique shops, and I had remembered seeing Wisteria Antiques in passing a few times. It was such a pretty place on the outside that we wanted to check out inside. OMG! What an incredible place. First we were greeted at the door by one of the owners, Ken, who welcomed us in. Ken explained the types of items they sold, vintage jewelry (which I love), hand-painted Limoges china, and crystal, lamps, everything beautifully displayed. One of the rules was that if you wanted to look at something, it was better for Ken to get it down to show you, which was fine with me, as my middle name isn't Grace. Everything was just so beautiful. Later on Clay and Miss Ruby their puppy joined us. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. I'm by no stretch of the imagination a decorator, but Wisteria Antiques was probably one of the most beautiful shops I've ever seen. The next time I go to visit my daughter, I will be sure to stop in again. read more

Beautiful!! Elegant and lavish, in the style of Marie Antoinette. Tea sets, porcelain, crystal and high-end costume jewelry. It's all genuine antiques and hand painted, but so well cared for they looked new. Easily the perfect spot to pick out something timeless for a wedding or anniversary gift. There are so many antique stores on the cape that feel more or less the same, but this one stands out far above the rest. I'm temped to go back and buy one of those sky blue perfume bottles;) Oh and don't get me started on the perfectly manicured garden lawn, the whimsical statues, the stone walkway and the lavender old Victorian. The owners are incredibly warm, friendly, funny and welcoming. They'll probably strike up a conversation and have you laughing with cute stories, and then invite you to come back and visit. Just two down-to-earth, genuinely sweet guys. This was the highlight of our trip to the Cape. Please do yourself a favor and check this out. It should be open till the end of October, get to it! read more

Wisteria Antiques is one of my most favorite places to visit and shop for the most amazing Limoges and other antique porcelain pieces. The owners of the shop are the most the welcoming people you ever want to meet and so knowledgeable about Limoges and everything else they have in their shop. They invite you in to see their world of antiques. One look and you feel as though you have transported to another place and time. The quality of their merchandise is amazing. I have been shopping at Wisteria for the past 10 years and each visit is magical!. Here's to Ken and Clay who always make me feel so special when I visit them and their world of antique porcelain and crystal. For anyone who needs a special something for their home or themselves this is a must see!!!! You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!! read more

We had seen some great reviews for this shop on line and decided to pop in for a look around- we were not disappointed! Not only was the shop incredible (my jaw dropped when entering. Every spare bit of wall and table surface was covered with intricate and beautiful antique pieces that you could tell had been chosen with care and placed deliberately in their place), but the couple that own it were worth the trip on their own. Incredibly kind, funny, and knowledgeable, they could tell you the history of any of the hundreds of pieces in their collection. And I mean, Barbra Streisand spent an hour and a half in their shop so that should tell you something. Highly recommend! read more

Stopped here on July 16, 2015, and came back on July 17th to buy more things we couldn't leave behind. Their crystal stemware inventory is extensive which is what we were looking for. This lovely Victorian home/antique emporium holds a treasure trove of antique china, crystal stemware, Limoges, costume jewelry and more (no furniture). The grounds are lovely and the inside is like visiting a museum. The owners Ken and Clay are very knowledgeable and their prices are reasonable. I am a senior reviewer for Trip Advisor but they don't seem to offer a place to review Antique stores-mostly hotels and restaurants so I am putting this review on Yelp. read more

What an incredible surprise I experienced the first time I entered Wisteria Antiques. This is like nowhere I have ever shopped before. The attention to detail, the incredible displays and the quality of the offerings kept me wondering if I was in a store of a museum... such is the quality of the items. The owners have obviously been at this business a long time and have an eye for quality and a mind for pricing. Even the lighting in each room has a dramatic flare to it. There is a funny thing about antique stores, and people new to antiquing can struggle with this, the more specialized the store, the harder they are to find. Wisteria Antiques specializes in fine porcelain and various other accoutrement from the Victorian era. I have visited a great many antique stores and resellers around the northeast and I have never experienced the selection of porcelain available at Wisteria. I stop by Wisteria every time my travels take me to Cape Cod. The prices are fair and you can rest assured that you are buying a quality product from a pair of the most pleasant shop keepers you will ever find. read more

Two of my friends and I were stopped here while on vacation and the owners were super nice!! We went to six other antique shops along the same road after visiting Wisteria and none of them compared in hospitality or quality of the items. This place has an extensive collection of Victorian China and some of the most beautiful upscale costume jewelry I have ever seen. But, its fun to look ... especially since it's rained almost every @%!& day in July and what else does one do in the rain on Cape Cod than browse and shop? First of all ... the used records pulled me in. The selection was pretty picked over. Barely any classic rock of note ... lots of jazz and eclectic stuff. However, HUGELY overpriced and the condition of many records was a bit rough. Some pricing examples ... The Doors, Soft Parade original in VG+ condition was $45. Owch. Lots of Beatles records for $30 - $100. Edith Piaf album I paid $2.50 for on EBay was over $12. You have to bring the copies of the over $15+ albums to the counter to inspect the condition. The vinyl section was crowded but honestly, not many bargains to be had. They have LOTS of stuff ... the store is a long barn and filled to the brim. There was a wall of 'vintage' Nautical paintings of sailors for $150 - $350, depending on the size. To me, they looked like they were painted recently. While cool, in a retro-kitchy fashion, the price was steep for a faux vintage Sea Captain painting. There were cases of old toys, costume jewelery and other antique stuff. I saw a couple authentic British Pub signs for $500 which were cool. They had some vintage cameras but many were untested and the same price as the tested ones online. The vintage typewriters had keys which were stuck and were priced the same as tested working ones online. I walked out empty-handed but I give 4 stars because it was a good way to spend an hour browsing on a rainy day. The only thing I was considering buying was a jazz record I wanted to listen to that night but it had a pretty scuffed surface, so I passed. Three people in front of me bought records ... maybe they were luckier or less picky. You may find something cool here but don't plan on finding inexpensive treasure. At the very least its fun to look.
