She came to my house and picked everything up the weekend before. Called all my vendors a few days out to make sure everyone knew where they needed to be and at what time. We only met once right after I got engaged and I knew she was the gal for me. After a short conversation I felt very comfortable that she knew exactly what I was looking for. She gave me all kinds of great tips and recommendations. Because of the venue I got married at, there was no dressing area for me to hide in, so I didn't arrive at the wedding until it was time to walk down the aisle. It was fun working with the people at Class Act. From the first call I could tell these people have…read moredone so many events with all the ideas they have. Since we had a theme they found several ways to engage the guest's which was so important for us. We went all out on this event with things like special decorations, a theme with our guests dressing accordingly. There was a photo booth, special games, and live performance like a circus act, catering, wait staff, bar staff and several announcements and more. Little things like helping set up other vendor's video presentation and requesting a podium for announcements and including a platform for one of our shorter speakers. We did a "singing for supper" game to see who next goes to the dinner buffet. Our guests loved it. Who pays attention to these type of things, experts? The day of the event came and Class Act coordinated all the different people from all these different disciplines masterfully plus working in our needs at the same time while keeping people on the dance floor. We got all that for about the same price that other places were charging for just a DJ. Choosing Class Act is a no brainier people.

The owner is an artist herself and her oil paintings adorn the walls throughout. She was a wonderful host, allowing us access to three floors. The renovation has been a labor of love as the place that once housed the elderly in a hospital setting has been transformed into a cozy getaway. Surrounded in woods with the nearby lake peeking through the trees, the grounds offer a luxurious tranquility. I could have sat by the large main floor fireplace all day. Our friends had to sleep with their winter jackets on. Beds are one of the most uncomfortable ones I have ever slept in. Three of us are vegetarian and basically the option for us was to get rice and the meat had been taken out from the dish. Not something you want to pay so much for. For our vegan friend there were no options at all. The place is dated, dirty and what you can feel everywhere is the astonishing and completely ungrounded sense of entitlement and pride that the owners project in the descriptions and policy signs they placed all over the establishment. It all happened a few years ago yet our friends and us can't stop going back in disbelief to that awful experience.
