Called again today and spoke with a woman there, I explained my situation and she asked me to email her the letter. I did so and Ken called me back a little while later. He says he has looked over the letter and says "Chris, it was 5 years ago, I don't have your files anymore, maybe our software was outdated and there is nothing that I can do or even know what to say to you about it!" Not even an apology of how they screwed up! So now I out about $9,000 that I didn't have to be if he and his team knew what they were doing! My husband has raved about him enough to me for me to feel obligated to write this review. Our tax situation isn't very complicated- though I'm sure Scott would do a fine job with more complicated taxes situations, the value my husband sees in him is how knowledgeable he is about finance in general. My husband uses his time with Scott to go through all of the questions that we have throughout the year relating to upcoming financial decisions...questions about purchasing a home, mortgage rates, property taxes, 401k investments, 2018 tax plan implications, etc. According to my husband, he gives practical, intelligent answers to these questions...all for about the same cost as going to H&R Block.
